I picked up their info at the SF Bay Area Garden Show in March, which gave a 10% discount. I had gotten 5 other estimates previously. BATS had the most professional written estimate, including a copy of their current insurance, and the best price. It was amazing watching them work and there was no damage to anything surrounding. They even went to special effort to save my azealas! They all worked very hard...as my daughter commented: It's such a "guy" job! They were very responsive and came back to do more grinding and clean-up when I requested it. I definitely would use them again!

They did a great job on all four trees. The trees look really good. It was a huge amount of work - particularly on the live oak tree. They cleaned up well and nothing was damaged, even the small, tender plants close to the trees. All the staff we had contact with were very professional, pleasant and easy to work with. There price they charged was very fair. We were expecting to pay more and were pleasantly surprised at their charges. An excellent business.

I was satisfied with the work and would use them again.

The just removed the one tree. They were very competent and did their job well. When they cut the trunk down and a part of the stump landed and shattered the sidewalk. Other than that they were good. They got it done pretty quickly and did not break any of my sprinklers that are in that area.

It was a simple job and it went very smoothly. Richard Smith, who I think is the owner, was very responsive. Since it was a straightforward job, I did not have to take time out of my work day to meet with them before they did the work. All arrangements were by phone. The work took less than an hour.

Had a tree on the side of the house that needed removing. Also had some shrubs to be removed. They cut down all items promptly (for $350.00). However, they did not remove the roots of the shrubs, that was an extra $100.00. The crew members did not have the right equipment to dig out the roots. I had to lend them my shovels. The tree roots were removed later, but I had to call them to remind them to do it. The person who performed this did a good job. He was aware of the irrigation pipe near the root and was able to remove the root without damage. Perhaps there was some misunderstanding in the contract. The contract specified that the tree stump was to be ground out, the shrubs were to be removed.

They have always done very good work for me on big or small projects. They did a wonderful job with this tree and they are always reliable. The service is great and the workers are friendly.

Although they were a little late in arriving (there were 3 workers), they were all very polite, worked hard and cleaned up very well. The price was very reasonable.
