Rich talked me through options. He listened to my wishes for my nightmare 100yr old hardwood floor. There were huge gaps and a bad previous reversed tng repair to be corrected. Also termite, fungus, n gouged scratches hiding under furniture n area rug. Also level issues. Rich gave expert options and let me decide. He really cared about doing his best to meet my needs. I was very happy with his ability to make my living room floor gorgeous. He has a lot of experience with corrective options for old homes built on clay.

Rich gave a $/sq ft. verbal quote over the phone and followed-up with a visit and formal quote. He worked within the parameters of an existing one week vacation and got the job done before our return. He and his team moved our refrigerator and replaced it. He followed-up with us upon our return to resolve any concerns we had with the result.

I had Rich and team refinish 3 bedrooms including carpet removal. Overall they did a great job and the floors look amazing. We also had Rich fix up a poor job done by a previous contractor by laying down some additional flooring. He procured the wood and installed the wood and made sure the design and finish blended in with the original hardwood floor.

Rich gave a reasonable quote. He was responsive through out the project. He got the materials and got the project finished within the timelines he planned. I would hire Rich again for quality work and ease of working.

They are the best, period. If anyone looking for people re-do their hardwood floor, just hire Barakatt and you will be very happy.

Our floors are beautiful. We have both Brazilian Cherry and Oak floors and they both look amazing. Rich was very patient when we had a hard time deciding what color to stain the oak and put down a number of test stains. He has pictures from past jobs of almost every stain and wood combination and that was helpful as well. Job started and ended on time. He also replaced a transition piece by the front door.

They did fabulous work. very knowledgeable about dealing old woods. Excellent craftsmanship and the ability to repair and replace woods. When I was getting different quotes, they were not the most expensive and not the cheapest but the quality was there. They respond right away. I would highly recommend them to anybody who have valuable flooring.

Rich was prompt and did a solid job. He was replacing a 40 year old wooden floor that had water damage. Very nice match to the old flooring, and he was able to tie the new to the old seamlessly. We did discover some splotching in the staining. Rich sanded and refinished the room a second time to fix the problem. No questions asked, he just took care of it. A few weeks after the work was completed we found two nail heads popping up from the boards in the hallway (snagging the hall carpet). Even though these were under the carpet Rich came out and got them to lay flat again, and they haven't come back up. Problems are going to happen, but it's how Rich handled them that impressed us.
