Atlas Trillo Heating & Air Conditioning

They did a great job. I have used them in the past and they one of the primary ones that I go to for any heating and air condition problems. They were on time, they were reliable and they did an excellent job and I will have them again. Price wise I have not compared their pricing with other providers. They are a Diamond certified company. As for their quality of work I do not know since I did not go under the house but I know they used good materials from the parts that I saw, they worked efficiently and their cleanup was good. They tended to the job; they seemed to know what they were doing, there were several workers apart from the main ones and several other people stopped by to assist them on a few matters and they were all good.

Our 12 year-old Trane furnace burned its VFD motor out. The cost of the replacement motor was too high, so we went for a full replacement. Due to the limited size of the furnace closet (and existing central air), we needed to replace it with the same size Trane furnace, this time with a dual speed unit. The installer managed to take out the old unit and install the new unit in its place. The job was done very professionally.

They were really back logged I guess in calls so took a while to make an appointment. Serviceman came a bit earlier but called before he came which reduced the cost from the quote of after hours. Went well but don't remember having them bring the unit inside the house in the past. I thought it odd that the registers were not covered but just closed. We'll see how long they last as I can't get up there to check their cleanliness.

The workman who completed the job was professional and personable, and as far as we can tell so far, competent. The problem was that he arrived without the equipment to do the job that we had specified. Two filters were required and specified. The first workman to arrive did not have any of the right size so he took measurements and telephoned them to his office. The second workman came back a week later and only had one filter of the proper size. In the meantime, I ordered some filters from Amazon just to be sure I was covered. The workman installed one of mine and one of his. I received no credit for the one I supplied. Next, I was lead to believe this service included duct cleaning. The workman was unaware of that and not prepared to clean ducts. This outfit is simply flaky and I wil not use them again. I checked them out on Yelp and they looked good. I should have checked with Angies's list where there was better information.

Even though the company no longer carried the brand of thermostat that failed, they gave us an interim device so we would at least have A/C then promptly reordered and installed an exact replacement. Two service calls were required to diagnose and correct the problem. In both cases, the technicians were highly qualified and knowledgable. The work was completed in a timely manner.

Their price was significantly lower than their competitor for the same equipment, and the estimator, Tamim, was very responsive. He answered my many questions cheerfully and had no problem accommodating adjustments to the project. On the appointed day they came on time and the work was done within the number of days they quoted. They were friendly and flexible. I would definitely recommend them.

They seemed to be efficient and did the work well in a short period of time. There was no mess. They did a good job. We would probably use them again in the future but hopefully not.

Last winter we had a guy from the power company out at our house doing an inspection, and while he was there he looked at our furnace and pointed out that the filter that Atlas had installed was the wrong size for our heater. It was way too small and it had fallen out, so our heater was running without a filter. Also the heater was supposed to have two filters and they had only put in one! And we had been wondering why our small children were suffering from such bad allergies during the winter. Then I asked the guy from the power company, is it necessary to do the air duct cleaning that Atlas recommended each year? The power company guy said no, that's something Atlas was recommending just to make more money. He said it's only necessary in houses that have been standing empty for a long time and have an enormous amount of dust in the ducts. Otherwise the dust gets blown out when you turn the heater on, you don't need a special air duct cleaning. So I joined Angie's list, so we can avoid companies like Atlas in the future.

We just finished using them on a project and it came out quite well. They gave us an estimate, we accepted and told them we wanted to expedite, and they were able to find a hole in their schedule. They did the installation then someone from the management came out to inspect everything and confirm that we were satisfied. They were very efficient and we are very pleased. They were definitely the lowest bid. One particular heater was close to an electrical outlet and they consulted with us before doing that. They advised us to have the outlet moved before using the heater; I thought that was very professional. They were responsive and fully staffed between Christmas and New Years. When I called with questions or issues, they were very responsive. They said they would arrive at 1:00 and they were here at 1:01. They were very professional and I certainly appreciate the follow-up; I thought that was very responsible of them. I would absolutely use them again.

We had a truly great experience w/ Atlas (after two frustrating visits from other "repair" companies with so-called technicians trying to hard sell us new furnaces / expensive installs). Chris from Atlas arrived on time and ready to work; tool box in hand. He was fast and thorough w/ his diagnostic, good systematic approach, and had the necessary replacement parts with him on his truck. Unlike so many other contractors / repair-persons today Chris from Atlas was a genuine tradesman, we really appreciated his skill and professionalism! Will definitely use Atlas again.

It was fine. They didn't know that I had two units, so their quote was only for one unit. I've used them many times before, and I figured they would know that I had two units. I probably should have told them that I had two units. Other than that, it went fine.

They did all the work in 2 days, so only without heat one night. Result is much more heat to most areas of house. They were easily the least expensive of the bids we got.

Called company approximately 2 weeks before install. Existing furnace was siezed up. Atlas recommended that we replace the furnace due to the age (23 yrs) . They did give us a bid for the repair ($500+)and when we decided to do the furnace install they waived the charge ($84) for the service call. Had to wait approximately 5 days for the furnace. Having had a bad experience with another heating and air company before, I was more than willing to wait for Atlas' service. Seems that at this time of the year, reputable companies are in demand.

They come out every year for the annual cleaning and maintenance work on the heaters. I am satisfied with them. They do a pretty good job. They call me every year, when it is time to do the cleaning. They are always on time. They do the work, very quickly. They take credit cards or checks, even though they come out to the house. They give me reminder calls every year and schedule their appointments to come out, according to my convenience; I like that. I’ll continue using them in the future.

The first service call the technician stated we needed a new blower and they would have to order it. The second time they came out the technician that came out stated that the first technician should have removed the blower to exchange with a new one because it was still under warranty. As a courteous they didn't charge me a maintenance fee since we couldn't use the unit for a week.

Very good service, quick, professional but the quote was wrong over the phone. Once the technician arrived he thought I only had one unit, so we negotiated the price, somewhat. Of course I should pay for his service, but I know I said I had two units! Other than that, they are great!

Workers were on time, polite, explained process and efficient.

Although the estimator was an hour late, he was very nice, knowledgeable and honest (I forget his name but think it's Tamim). He followed up and was very courteous. The installers were quiet but answered my questions effectively and help me understand the use of the furnace. Overall, a pretty good experience.

Everything was fine until they gave me the price - most furnaces replace a motor for $250-300. The price I was quoted I was OK with - but they had to order the part. The technician was very professional, spent about 45 minutes installing, and the final price was $900. I paid it, but I wish I knew it was going to be that upfront. They offered to let me speak with the manager but I just let it go.

He suggested looking into the warranty on the water tank which I replaced about 4 yrs ago which was helpful (trying to save me money if possible rather than trying to sell me a new tank) but then thought of some other things to try and sure enough he found that the motor in the air heating unit was jammed (he took the cover off and did some stuff inside) and was able to unjam it. He says that when the units aren't used all year long sometimes they jam. I could tell something was improving because the pipes started warming up. He also pointed out that the ducting wasn't well engineered and the house may have poor airflow too which we have experienced (some rooms much colder/warmer than others). He also suggested using a less obstructive filter in the intake (or return) vent which would improve airflow. He said to call for free quotes on improving the ducting or replacing the unit with a forced air unit if we plan on staying in the home for a long time. I will use Atlas again :).

They took care of the problems we had. Their price was the best of all that I checked. It was about 20% lower than their competitors.

Tamin, the salesman, was on time and knowledgeable and great to work with. He did not try to sell me things I did not need. The installers arrived on time at the scheduled date and performed the work quickly and efficiently. Javier, the installer, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and he pointed out a number of things in the old installation that were done incorrectly and then corrected the problems. I very much appreciated his kind demeanor and his knowledge and his willingness to help in any way possible.

When I chose Atlas Heating and Air Conditioning I thought that because it was a major company, I would get impeccable service. I was very much mistaken. The installation was fine but after it was installed they ended up being called back to my home at twenty times because the air conditioning unit would not work properly. What alarmed me was that every time someone came out to fix the unit it never happened because not one person was knowledgeable about why it did not work. I just expected better from a company that was known to have a reputation of being one of the best.

We were very pleased. The work was done well, they were prompt and courteous; they cleaned up. There were no suurprises in costs or work. A highly professional outfit.

The primary reason to replace the furnaces and A/C units was that they were old, inefficient, and very loud. I got three estimates and did a bunch of research. Atlas was actually our second choice because the cost was actually the highest. I couldn't get our first choice to return my calls (even though he'd been out to our house and given us an estimate). Atlas beat out our third choice because the carrier units did seem to be the most efficient and had a good reputation for quietness. Third choice were American Standard units that have the best quality reputation. The second unit is in a closet surrounded by bedrooms. The old unit was loud enough to wake a sleeping child (55 dB with the door closed). So, when the old unit was out I sound insulated the closet. Atlas worked around my schedule, focusing on the downstairs unit while I redid the closet. The installers were great. This winter has been completely different from before. I'd repeat this experience in a heartbeat.
