Ted came right away on a Saturday and traced the problem to a faulty extension cord attached to the circuit. He was able to quickly, professionally and with excellent quality correct the problem. He is courteous and very friendly. I highly recommend his service.

Ted was wonderful to work with. I wanted to have new light fixtures installed before Thanksgiving visitors, all of which required relocating the placement of the lights. Ted promptly came out, looked at what needed to be done, and provided a detailed, itemized proposal by the end of the day. He originally was booked through Thanksgiving, which he was upfront about, but he managed to work me in when someone else cancelled. He showed up on time, he worked steadily, getting through the 6 light installations, and he even helped me decide the right length for the pendant lights I wanted hung. He also didn't bat an eye when I asked him to install two electrical outlets, which weren't something I asked him to include in the proposal. He gave me a reasonable price for those installations, and the rest of the work was billed at exactly what he had outlined in the proposal. When I need more electrical work done, Ted will be the only person I call. It was a great experience working with him.

Ted was a pleasure to work with. He talked us through the various options before giving us an estimate. Both times, drywall work was needed and Ted's crew was exceedingly professional. The work area was covered to ensure that dust did not get to the rest of the home. The crew began and finished on time. A year later, we remain extremely satisfied. We highly recommend Ted.

I called Ted and explained the help I needed. He came out right on time the next day and spent about an hour giving a very thorough list of dos and don'ts to help us out. Very professional, easy to talk to, and he does not treat you like an idiot because you are not a professional electrician like others do.

It went very well. Ted is good people. He is very personable, knowledgeable, prompt and service oriented. He was always on time to the job and worked steadily to get the work done quickly. He worked well with and around all of the other contractors I had going in and out of the house. When it came time to do the inspection, Ted was actually early. We both wasted about 3 hours waiting for the inspector to show up. While we were waiting we chatted about various things. I was asking him about electrical work and he was patient (and actually interested in) my amateur questions. While we were talking I asked him how hard it would be to put a doorbell in. I was thinking he would have to run a circuit just for that. But he said, no, in fact he had one in the truck that he could put on sine we were just waiting for the inspector. That was a pretty cool bonus since the doorbell that was there before was one of those old crappy buzzers. Ted is awesome to work with. I will use him for all of my electrical needs.

The job went very well. Ted arrived on-time and took the time to assess the job first since he hadn't come out for an in-person estimate on this small job. We walked me through some alternatives and made sure I was clear before he started. When he ran into some issues (with my old house, not the quality of his work) he made sure to keep me informed about what he was doing and what a possible alternative plan might be. He made sure to walk me through the results so I was aware of what he did and what implications it might have for future electrical work. Ted was neat and did a good job of cleaning up when he finished, too.

Ted Bakelis was the electrician that did the estimate. Ted and an other electrician did the work. Ted came to the house about 10 days prior to the install to discuss the job, what he could do, the price, etc. He listened to my needs, made suggestions, and was very polite. He provided me an initial estimate over email. He and I exchanged 2-3 subsequent email, modifying the content of the work before he submitting the final estimate to me. He priced each work item seperately. Ted arrived the day of install with a partner.They were polite and got to work immediately. They repected the insided of the house and were sensative to our indoor-only cat (kept the doors closed) before I could find it and lock it a room (this was a big deal to us). The installed the conduit up close, under the eaves per my request. They did a good job bending around the roof line and then running it up over the garage into the attic from the outside. It's not the best thing to look at (conduit), but it looks OK and you can't see it from the street. There really wasn't another option unless I wanted inside wall tore up. Ted and partner ran two 15 (20?)AMP curcuits from the outside panel through the conduit. I wanted one for two ceiling fans that I subsequently installed and one for any attic/whole house fan that I may install later on. The job entailed one of them to into our attic crawl space.They cleaned up after themselves inside and out. I subsequently installed two ceiling fans, using the "hot"runs and the installation was expected. They had tightend down my previously self-installed ceiling fan mounts and left me an adequent tail of wire with which to work. They installed the outside GFCI outside receptical with no issues and again, clean up the work I cringed spending $1390, but it got done, done quickly, appears to be done correctly, Ted and partner were polite, courteous, professional. I made initial contact with Ted via email. Ted was the first electrician to "pick up the phone" after several failed attempts to contact 2-3 electricians from Angie's list via email/phone messages.

All the plugs are now grounded, and the drywall repair looks great.

It went great. He has a busy schedule, and found time (on a Saturday morning) to come over and perform the service. The work was exactly what we needed, was performed on time and under budget. We'd go to Ted again in a heartbeat.

I would definitely use Apollo electric for future work. I have gotten estimates by others and used other electricians before I found Ted, and none of them come close to the quality, honesty and professionalism shown by Ted. I am convinced that there are none better.

This is the second tme I've used Ted for electrical work in my home. (I found him on Angies list the first tme) He recommended a particular fan for me, which turned out to be a great choice! The fan works fantastic -- absolutely no fogging of my mirrors at all in my VERY SMALL bathroom....plus it's super quiet. I've had others ask me about it since they are envious of how quiet my fan is! :) Ted was on time and easy-going and a pleasure to be around. He purchased the fan for me and everything, so I did not have to do anything. He even gave me a break on the overall price, so it was a great value. I am very happy with the work, (as I also was the first time he he work for me). I would definitely recommend Ted & plan to call him first for my electrical needs. Ted came out early the week of June 27th to take a look at the job. We needed to move a pool timer, sprinkler timer, and the creation of an outdoor outlet. While there, he noted that the existing wiring was poorly done, so he recommended they be rewired. We decided to add power for four sconces, a ceiling fan, and a dedicated outlet for an a/c unit. Even though his schedule was really booked up, he arranged to come back later that week to do the work, so as not to hold up my larger construction schedule. Sure enough, as promised, he was there bright and early on Friday morning and was done with the work by early afternoon. While there, we chatted about some outdoor lighting I'm interested in having installed, so we'll definitely have him back to install those as well. Ted is sweet, hardworking, and well-priced. I definitely plan to use Apollo Electrical's services on a regular basis!

He provided a bid for electrical services the same day that he met to evaluate the home's electrical needs. He promptly added additional bid updates as requested. He began and completed all work as agreed and fully satisfied all inspection requirements, all on time. Ted scheduled the work to fit our tight schedule and was completed, including inspections and cleanup, within 3 days. He clearly explained each step of the process, graciously answered questions, and demonstrated how to use the updated electrical services. Apollo Electric even noticed a plumbing situation that needed attention and provided a professional plumbing reference that worked out perfectly. It was a pleasure to work with Apollo Electric. We got a new dryer and the plug of it didn't match the outlet. We tried changing the outlet ourselves but it was more complicated than we thought. I looked for different electricians and Apollo Electric was the most reasonable in price and responsive. We we're told by another company it was going to be easier to be easier to change the cord on the dryer than the outlet, Ted agreed so on the phone and that's what we agreed to. When he got to the house and checked the outlet.. well who ever installed the last outlet installed an oven outlet instead of a washer/dryer outlet. Ha! that's why we couldn't change it. Well instead of changing the cord he changed the outlet, changed the wires on the outlet so there were 3 instead of 4 and changed the box. All for $120. I had called another company a lot closer to my home and they wanted to charge me $250 for just changing the cord. I'm really happy with the work he did and will hire again if we need any electrical work in the future.

Back in October of 2010 part of the power went off in my house after PG&E installed their new smart meters. I found Ted on Angies list with good ratings and called him to troubleshoot and fix my problem. He came over same day and fixed the problem in 20 minutes and charged me $100. I was very impressed with him. This year I got some new lighting fixtures for my dining room and entry way that are hand blown one of kind glass and two new cieling fans for other rooms. I knew that I wanted to use Ted again for the installation of all of these. Ted came over a day after we called him and provided an estimate and let us know the additional parts we would need, we agreed to the job and scheduled a time. Ted's schedule freed up and he was able to come a week early and did a fantastic job. His prices are great and his work is amazing. Nice guy that won't rip you off.

Ted arrived on time for the estimate and the work appointment. He was very easy to work with, and did good quality work to code. I asked him to do a little additional work while he was there and it was no problem for a reasonable price increase. He is easy to communicate with (quick email responses, etc.), and gave me some additional tips on some further DIY electrical repairs I needed to do. His pricing is competitive with other local electrical contractors. I would hire him again to do further work.

The whole experience with Apollo Electric was excellent from start to finish. Ted does very high quality work and he is a pleasure to have around. Normally I feel a little uncomfortable having handymen at home when my husband's not in the house, but Ted is respectful and has great people skills, so I felt completely at ease. The cost was a little lower than that of the bids I had got from 2 other electricians, but the main reason I hired him was because he seemed very knowledgeable and trustworthy, which turned out to be true. I will use Apollo for everything electrical we need to do in the house, and I would warmly and strongly recommend Apollo to anybody who needs anything, be it small or large projects, done.

My wife and I are interested in moving our washer/dryer to the garage, so I was looking for an electrician who could install the proper outlets for this. I found Apollo Electric through Angie's and got in touch with the owner, Ted Bakelis. Here's everything that went right with this job: * Ted was pleasant on the phone, and was able to schedule a time to come over fairly quickly. * Ted was in contact with me prior to his arrival to give an estimate, informing me that he had an opportunity to come over early and asking if that would be okay. * Ted was courteous when he arrived, understood what I wanted right away, and even made suggestions that ended up saving me a few hundred dollars. * The eventual work was done quickly and on time. The only downside? The job, which required cutting out some panels of sheetrock, created a bit of a mess. But the job was cheap, so I guess that's okay. If I had been home when the work was done, I might have thought to better move things out of his way to avoid all the falling dust.
