Aly's Tree Trimming Pruning & Yard Clean-Up

Excellent job - we called Monday morning and the work was done on Tuesday afternoon. The yard looks amazing and was well worth the price. Aly is professional and very nice too :-)

On Thursday the team we hired to replace the sidewalk encountered a root that needed to be ground out, that was incased in hard clay. The potential of the root causing the tree to be out of ballance was great, so we went on Angie's List to look for an arborist. Contacted Aly,and 1 hour later he was in the yard giving us a quote. Just from the short discussion we knew we had the right person for the job. The plan was for his team to come out on Sunday, and trim the tree... Well, Friday and Saturday poured!!!! Sunday was still raining... but his team pulled up with HUGE equipment, and strapped themselves into the tree... and away they went... there were three people on the ground sweeping and chipping branches as they came down... two people in the trees chopping in synch to keep the tree ballanced, it was like watching a ballet. Two hours later, the trees were pruned, the root barrier was in, the yard was clean, and the sidewalks out front were smooth... it was awesome!!! We have had several neighbors comment on how good our tree looks...

It went great. Aly came out at noon one day and the work was scheduled for the next morning. The crew arrived on time and were finished in three hours. And it really did look great.

I actually got their name off of Angie's List. They came out promptly and gave me an estimate. They stuck with their estimate. They did a good job, and did not butcher my trees. They cleaned up the mess.

The crew accomplished most tasks to my satisfaction. They did an excellent job on the trees. I was less satisfied with the hedges. Cleaning up the debris proved to be a challenge. First, I have plant and terrain obstacles that make trimming and cleanup difficult. Second, I have many tender plants, immature ground cover and mulch I did not want disturbed. I opted for less clean-up in order to protect my plants and mulch, but I was disappointed with the results. I lost several tender plants and it will take me several hours to replace the mulch.

The estimator came out one day and the crew appeared the next. The crew did a great job and followed my directions to a T. They were very easy to work with.

Aly came promptly and gave us a careful estimate and the work was started & completed quickly. I noticed that the apple tree had been lightly trimmed rather than reshaped to correct an imbalance, so I called Aly again. He immediately sent out someone to perform additional thorough pruning and reshaping of the apple tree to my specifications. (The original pruning was intended to conserve and maximize fruit, which was not my primary interest).

We had one eucalyptus tree branch fall off onto our roof last winter, and I procrastinated on getting the others trimmed until this fall, but Aly's tree trimming was quite quick in coming to get it done when I called.

They arrived on time, discussed the entire job with me. They were professional, did the job as required and at the end Aly came to assure that I was happy with the work, which I certainly was.

The crew did an excellent job though they were delayed by another job and got started on ours one day later than they said they would. They stabilized the fallen tree and then removed it without damaging the one that was supporting it. They also performed the pruning without any complications or problems. They worked quickly, but safely, and cleaned up absolutely thoroughly before leaving.

They were prompt and effective. We wanted to cut the trees quickly, before storms arrived. They were at our house the next day. Both tasks were done to our satisfaction. Rather than sending the palm to the dump (for an added fee), we asked that they chunk it for green waste disposal. They did a great job removing the trees, then chunking up the palm to a manageable size, and separating the frowns from the trunk. Cutting up the palm was free of charge.

Mr. Apolinar, the owner, came out to do the estimate within a few hours of when I called. He is an arborist, and was therefore able to answer my questions about how my trees could and couldn't be trimmed to accomplish my goals for my landscaping, given the trees' age and the constraints under which they had to grow. We also discussed how the neighbor's overhanging trees should be trimmed, so that I could go to them and ask for permission to trim them as he suggested. I went and got the neighbor's permission, then called Mr. Apolinar back and set up an appointment to do the job two days later. On the appointed day at the appointed time, I received a phone call from the workmen saying they had been asked to do a little additional work on another job and would be slightly late. They did show up about half an hour late. I repeated for them what Mr. Apolinar and I had agreed the job would be, and they got right to work. Mr. Apolinar himself showed up just after that, as the trimming was beginning, and verified that they had understood all the instructions. (I think he intended to be present from the beginning, but arrived later than the workers.) The trimming took about an hour and a half. There were several men working on it. They cleaned up all the trimmings neatly when they were done. I verified that they had also cleaned up the neighbor's property.

Aly's responded quickly to my call and were able to fit us in while they were in the area on another job. They were on time and finished quickly. They even ground down an extra stump they found at no additional charge. All the cleanup was done and they were gone in record time. I would definitely use them again.

We called them for an estimate to trim 2 large (75 foot) Montery Pine trees in our yard, remove a smaller tree, and remove some invasive vines/roots in our yard. They came out that afternoon to give us an estimate. They were very knowledgeable, had good references, and fully insured. So we hired them. The crew of 5 people came back the next day and spent the better part of 8 hours doing all this work. They did an excellent job and treated the trees with real care. At the end of the day, they completely clean up and price was exactly as agreed upon. I recommend them and would hire them again.

It always goes well. The pine always looks naked, but the wind doesn't tear it down either and it fills in beautifully. Doing the yard means doing the whole yard. Unless you specify it, your flower beds are scraped if there are weeds in them.

The work was excellent. Arrived on time, completed the work as agreed. Would use them again.

They were very efficient, and the money that they asked for was very appropriate. They didn't go out of bounds anywhere. They had a lot of crew here that worked very well. He is an arborist and has extra education which I really liked. I would recommend them to anyone.

Called and spoke to Aly monday Sept. 29, 2008. Made a 2pm appointment with him for a walk-through and bid on Tree trimming for our 1 acre HOA complex for monday Oct. 6th. I had 2 other companies scheduled for appointments on that day. Aly never showed up or called to cancel or followed-up on his no-show. The other 2 companies showed up exactly when scheduled and we will be doing business with one of them. I know flaking on appointments is not that big of a deal, but for a top-rated firm people should know they are not always such.

Company is organized and responsive. I was unable to be home when they did the estimate, but they left the estimate, plus a package with their tax certificate, BBB accreditation, liability insurance etc. They estimated on the tree I had asked to be trimmed ($775), plus several other trees which they thought I might want to have done. Ultimately price was a factor for me, and I chose another contractor who is based in this neighborhood, and who had done some work for a friend, and who gave me a lower estimate.

I called several companies, this was the only one to return my call. Our yard was in terrible shape due to tenant neglect, and I was in a hurry to have it fixed up. They were on time, fast, efficient, and thorough. A whole crew showed up and were finished in a few hours. They mistakenly removed one plant. He apologized and discounted a replacement price from the bill.

Promptly quoted price and got to work the next day. Quick, clean .. very professional.

It started with Angie's List! This is the way to go! Everything was done with precision, excellence and attention to detail. Cleanup was thorough and they were willing to do things beyond what I had asked originally. They put a tarp over the pool to protect it, they took out an extra bush at the end of a long hard day and they redid by request a trimming to get it just right. They tamped down the soil after removing trunks, etc. I could not have asked for more. This is hands down the best crew!! I plan to have them out every year for trimming.

It definitely went fine. They had the job done in very little time. I like how they were easy to do business with. They included all documentation on there licensing with the written estimate they gave us. They stayed right to the estimate.

Aly's was very responsive in providing a bid - they came the next day and did the work two days later. They did a very good job of cleaning up my yard and I will have them come back ans put in landscaping and maintain the yard.
