Aly's Tree Trimming Pruning & Yard Clean-Up

Aly came out and gave the estimate. He was punctual. Gave a reasonable price. The next day a team of four showed up about 3pm as planned. They had 3 large trucks , one had about a 50 foot cherry picker and one had a huge chipper to dispose of the tree limbs. The crew made quick work of the 3 trees with benefit of the great equipment. They knew just what to do. Aly's son took care of the gutters on the roof in no time. They stayed past 7pm to make sure the grounds were spotless.

There was some confusion about the date of the initial estimate. It was set for a Thursday, but he showed up on Tuesday when I wasn't there. I described to him what I wanted done over the phone, and he left a detailed bid that explicitly listed what I asked for. I got other bids, but Aly's was the lowest. I was a little hesitant since we hadn't met to look at the trees and discuss the job face-to-face, but I hired them anyway. When I returned home the day of the work, I saw they had done exactly what I asked. Moreover, they cleaned up perfectly -- you couldn't tell they had been there. It was a great overall experience. I recommend them and will use them again.

They did an excellent job. Their grinder broke during the job, and then needed to come back the next day to finish grinding the stumps. Do you know how to tell when a job like this is done right? You can't tell there were trees there. I'm very pleased with the work. There were two other things which stood out for me. 1) Aly came prepared for the quote - when we were finished he provided/went over paperwork which showed his license, insurance, and arborist course completion for his workers; 2) they broke a small solar light in our front yard, and actually came and told us – took $30 off the bill, even though the light was like $10 bucks. It’s not the $30 off, but rather the character to admit they broke the light. I’ve seen the contrary to that from so folks.

Aly's prices were competitive with other bids we received. Throughout whole process, Aly was very professional. In fact, he was able to come on a Sunday to get all the work done so all the debris could be hauled away on Monday (the day our garbage/recycling comes). My wife and I were amazed at the quality of work -- after they left, everything was clean and Aly even offered to come over after Monday (after our garbage/recycling trucks come) in case there was any leftover side street debris. Aly was great about checking in on the scope of the work (both over the phone as well as when he came on site) as well as suggesting and providing advice on what to do or not to do. For example, we had a raggedy apple tree in the backyard that we originally wanted to remove (which would have meant more money in his pocket). But Aly said that the tree was worth keeping and just needed a bit pruning. While doing all the work, Aly and his crew were good at checking on things just to be clear about what we wanted. Last but not least, Aly and his crew did extra pruning on stuff that was not in the original scope of work. They pruned our rose bushes, moved our lawn and trimmed some side bushes -- all for no additional charge! Since this was our first time hiring someone to do this kind of work, we were skeptically cautious about what to expect. Aly surpassed our expectations and we would definitely hire him again in the future for any related work.

Whole process took only part of a morning and the yard was left clean and neat. When one of the support stakes relaxed they happily returned and restaked the tree so it was very sturdily supported. After all that they sent me a nice note thanking me for my business. I intend to do business only with them for future outdoor work. Really excellent.

We set up an appointment for today between 3pm and 4pm. No one showed up and no one called.

It went great. They were scheduled to arrive at 9 AM and got here at about 9:15. They were done and gone just a little before 2 PM, and the front yard, sidewalks, and street were all clean and you could not tell the tree had ever been there (except for the circle of shredded wood that filled in where the trunk had been. This is the third time we've used Aly's over the past few years. First time was for trimming three trees; the second was for an emergency clean up after a very large limb broke off a tree during a storm, and then this tree removal. We will absolutely call them again if we need any more of this type of work done, and have recommended them to several friends.

We had a very large unsafe ash tree removed (fully, even the roots) and dug out two medium sized fruit trees, the 1500 sqft yard tilled with compost, and about 40 rose, ivy, and hedge plants removed. Then they pruned up a very overgrown large lilac and our peach tree. They sourced a 12 foot tall Jacaranda and Mayten tree for us (which took a few weeks to find) and installed one in place of the removed ash tree and in another spot in the front yard. They also found a decently mature 4-graft apple too, and installed that in place of the removed fruit trees. Everything went smoothly, and they brought a 5-man team who worked most of the day. The 50 foot tree was felled into the street blocking both lanes, but was completely clear of the street in 10 minutes. They chipped all the branches they could (10 large piles worth) and cut the stump for firewood (about a full cord). The Lilac tree looks fantastic and airy, with not a twig of dead wood left, and the peach is much more tidy and will be far easier to harvest this year. The hedge plants were 30 years old boxwoods, and took some serious hacking to remove - these guys really put their day's work in. The Jacaranda and mayten trees are beautiful and healthy. They installed deep watering pipes for the one tree so it makes it easier to get water down to the bottom roots (and saves on water). All said, they did a really great job! I'll be inviting them back to do more, certainly.

Everything went very smoothly. Aly's crew came out and cut down a large liquid amber tree as well as a few smaller trees in my backyard. They ground up various stumps on the property and spent most of the day trimming a large Cedar tree in my front yard that hadn't been trimmed in over 25 years. I have received a lot of complements on the trimmed cedar tree and was happy with the tree removal and stump grinding. Aly's quote was very competitive. I would use him again based on the quality of his work.

They had a fair price. I would give them an overall grade of an A.

They were very professional and I didn't hire them because it was $1200 and I couldn't afford it and didn't need it to be pristine like he claimed it would be after cleanup.

Had them come in to clear out some shrubbery that were menacing our power lines. It went great. These guys were quick and hardworking. Our backyard is a bit of a jungle so we'll be callings these guys up again in the near future.

The three workers arrived on time as scheduled. They were efficient, polite, and immediately got to work. Both the tree and the stump were removed in 2 hours. Cleanup was decently done. I did have some sweeping to do after they left, but to give them credit, the debri that was left was over the patio funiture that I had stacked out of the way to the side of the patio. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

My husband and I were very, very impressed with the response, friendly, courteous servise from Aly's and his work crew. Aly's provided us with a written procise estimate of procedues and work expectations of his landscaping services. His crew was very friendly, courteous, and hard working. The job started late morning and was finished early afternoon with everything being cleaned up and hauled away. They are not the cheapest and they are not the most expensive, very fair. I would recommend Aly's Landscaping to everyone.

Four workers arrived on time. Excellent results on the tree trimming and yard cleaning.

A tree service companythat I had previously used cold called me and offered to take the broken limb down if I did more trimming at a pretty high price. I had seen Aly's doing some work on a neighbor's property. I checked them out on Angie's List first, then called them. Aly came out the next day and gave me two estimates. One just to remove the broken limb and a second to do some other trimming that will be required fairly soon. I elected to just do the broken limb removal. They came the next day and did the job.

I'm very, very impressed with the quality of service I received from Aly & his crew. Aly himself came by to give me the estimate, and it was very detailed and broken down into how much for each piece of the work I potentially wanted done. When I told him I could manage the cost of the tree service but not the yard cleanup, he didn't try to push me on that at all. Aly is also very knowledgeable about the various trees and what needed to be done to/with them; I especially appreciated this re: my unruly front-yard lemon tree. His crew, headed by "Robert," arrived right on time and got to work. We had a LOT of tree work needing to be done, and they were very careful, and professional. Because our neighborhood can't be serviced by the city re: curbside pickup of yard/tree trimmings (due to a narrow street and too many cars always parked at the curb), Aly sent the larger truck with the chipper behind it. All tree/plant waste was chipped up to be taken to a recycler, so it won't just go into the landfill somewhere. My elderly neighbor, who lives on a small fixed income, talked to one of the guys about taking two branches off her huge pine tree, and even though the crew was ending their long day here, he gladly got his equipment out again and charge her just $30 for the service (which I added to my bill because she's a fantastic neighbor & friend!). And best of all--the crew even did some front-yard cleanup of a flower bed and lawn edging that wasn't even part of my contract. I was really impressed that they would go over and above what I'd paid for in giving such kind, professional service! I will definitely call Aly again--only we won't wait four years to do so!

The came and gave an estimate just a couple days after we phoned them. The estimate seemed fair, so we decided to go ahead with the job. They came just a few days later to do the work. They arrived promptly, worked very hard, and cleaned up perfectly after they were finished. Everything was done exactly as they had promised. We've told them that we will be calling them again in the spring to do further work.

They arrived on time. They were reasonably priced. They charged me 1100.00 and 125.00 to haul away to dump tree. They left everything clean and orderly. I am very pleased!

Aly came to my house to give me an estimate. He was right on time. I showed him what I wanted done. He gave me an estimate right on the spot. His rates are reasonable. Two days late, a crew of 10+ people came. The job was done in 4 hours. They clean up after themselves. There was very minimal collateral damage. I was pleased with the result and with their professionism. Highly recommended.

They were great because they cleaned up after themselves and they were on time. They were very friendly and my tree looks great.

They dropped of a very detailed estimate, were open to changes, arrived promptly, and were finished and cleaned up before I knew it. As a bonus, they were really nice and polite

Aly came by to look at the job and left a detailed estimate (priced by tree/work needed), and also left copies of his license and insurance (liability and worker's comp). His quote was slightly higher than the other companies from whom I got estimates, but he was the only one of the three who could also treat the scale as the others didn't deal with the chemicals. Also, with the coupon, it ended up being a very minor amount over the others. They did the work in about 4 hours and cleaned up everything when they left. Unfortunately, I wasn't home when they left and I wasn't happy with the way they cut the small tree (it was slanted with one side higher than the other). When Aly called the next business day to check, I let him know that I wanted the tree shaped evenly and he had someone come out the next day and fix it. We're now 100% happy with the work they did. The only area for improvement from my standpoint would be better communication about when exactly they were going to do the work (I didn't get a specific time - just that they'd come by sometime on Friday). I also had to follow up once I sent in the signed contract as a few days had passed and no one had called to schedule the job. Those were minor issues for me considering the work was done well. I will use them again.

Aly's arrived around 9 am Tuesday morning. By the end of the day they had almost all of the trees down. Before leaving everything was cleaned up and out of the driveway. Everything was completed by Friday, including an additional 80 year old Pine from my mother's yard. (Right next to our house). I could not be more pleased with the the quality of the work. Everyone who was here was friendly, helpful - if I needed to get my car out equipment was moved. I would have absolutely no hesitation in using Aly's again.

It was awesome, Aly came out on Monday to look at a huge tree in our backyard. He made a few recommendations, I took the option of a complete removal. They had time the very next day to remove the tree. I left in the morning with a huge tree in the backyard and came back with no trace of it.
