+ -1 moreI was referred to Advantage Appliance Repair by a friend. She had been referred to them by a neighbor when her dryer had issues. She really liked the owner Gilbert as he was friendly and knowledgeable. Well, she was right. From the beginning of our telephone contact, Gilbert was professional and friendly. He responded to my voicemail message within a few hours. Since it was not an emergency, we scheduled the appointment for a few days out, specifically today between 4:30-6:30pm. He said he would contact me before his arrival. Well, it was 5:15pm and I was a little nervous he had forgotten about me. So, I sent him a text to see if we were still scheduled. He called to let me know I was his next appointment and to not worry. Anyway, to make a long story short, my friend was right! Gilbert was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. He knew immediately what the problem was and replaced the ice maker within 20 minutes of his arrival. He explained how the leak happened and showed me the damaged part. Gilbert even cleaned the coils under the fridge for me. I will definitely pass along Adavatage's number to friends and family.

Description of Work: Called to request service call. Company agreed to arrive between 3:30 and 5pm. We missed their call at 3:15 and called back moments later only to be told that he went to the next person on his list and would be here by 5:45pm. We called again to follow-up at 6:15 and couldn't reach the representative and as of 7:15pm the technician hasn't called or showed up. We wasted an entire day to get this problem solved and still don't have resolution.

+ -1 moreGilbert responded promptly to my call for help. Our relatively new dishwasher was not draining. He quickly found the problem and fixed it for a very reasonable price. This is the second time he has helped us out. I keep his card magnet on our refrigerator. I like his common sense, practical advice and reasonable prices.

+ -1 moreADVANTAGE RESPONDED TO THE CALL IN A TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE TO COME OUT THE NEXT DAY. THE REPAIR SERVICE CAME ON TIME. NO PARTS NEEDED TO BE ORDERED, THE REPAIRMAN HAD THE CORRECT PARTS AND THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED.
Description of Work: ADVANTAGE WAS CALLED TO REPAIR A CLOTHES WASHER. THE WASHER WOULD NOT CHANGE INTO THE SPIN MODE OR DRAIN.
