Aby kept us informed throughout the process, communicated clearly, and did an excellent job. I plan to use her services again for all my reupholstery needs. This job was not inexpensive, but well worth the money. If you have really nice furniture, call Aby. She'll take good care of it.

Aby's did a great job, and I would return there. It's not a fancy shop, but the quality was excellent. And it's nice to see a woman-run business succeed. Communication was excellent back and forth on some details. And she was fast. The price included the upholstery fabric and labor.

Brought in my Eames replica ottoman to have the vinyl replaced. Material and labor estimate was a bit high, but these reviews seemed to warrant the cost. We picked out a matching vinyl and put a deposit down and were told it would be ready the following weekend.
Came back the next weekend and it was ready. But the problems were many. The vinyl used did not match the original. It was more of a matte finish. It was close enough for our use, but I did not like that it that they choose a material that did not match the swatch we picked from. Then I noticed that the original mounting holes in the bottom of the nicely finished wood were not used to re-mount the cushion to the wood frame. As a matter of fact, they moved these screws such that they could now be seen from the side of the ottoman. And... these folks added some small brass nails to the side which could also be seen. Now this ottoman is a modern, clean line, nice wood finish piece, so these things made for VERY unwanted/desired changes!!!
WOW!!! How did this happen and how could you have made a choice like this. After some conversation between the person in charge and the young man who did the work (not in English so i'm not clear how or why), the young person removed the screws, put the mounting screws back to the original spot and put some wood filler into the new holes he had made..
Anyway, I'm super unhappy and wanted others to learn from my experience.
