Crew showed up on time and completed the job within the time estimate given with the bid. Crew encountered unforeseen problem;crawl space opening not large enough to bring furnace into position. They corrected the problem although it cost them several hours delay. They did not attempt to charge us for correcting the problem. A couple of days later I discovered an electrical problem with an old fan off-on switch left over from the previous furnace. AAA returned that day and corrected the problem at no charge. Employees showed up each day in company uniforms and clean, marked company trucks. They cleaned up the work space every day before leaving.
Description of Work: Tear out of old furnace located in crawl space and all ductwork in two story home. Installation of new furnace and air conditioner and replacement of ductwork with larger, insulated ducts.

The workmen were very courteous and professional. They arrived first thing in the morning, cleaned the furnace, and sealed up some floor boards, which caused a draft under the furnace. Then, the workers put down a cloth to catch any dust and insulation, and then proceeded to remove existing duct work. They vacuumed the rug after the work was completed.
Description of Work: Upon investigating a noise in my attic, I discovered that the existing duct work, had come out of the manifold. I contacted AAA, to provide an estimate on repairing/replacing the duct work, as well as cleaning the furnace. They suggested replacing the ducts, to which I agreed. I also, negotiated to have the furnace cleaning included in the work order, at no extra cost. They cleaned the furnace, and replaced all the duct work.

First appointment was a no-show. I waited 4 hours. It wouldn't have been so bad if the office staff had just said the technician got behind, but they implied it was my mistake. I disagree. I waited 5 hours for the second appointment. Technician apologized, seemed knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and honest. He did not try to sell me anything.

When I called to schedule an appt, they said tech was gone for the day and took my number. Someone called the next day, asked what I wanted and when I told them what I needed, they asked ME why the person I talked to the day before didn't just schedule the appt. They had just filled up for that day (fir), so I had to pay an extra $20 for them to come out on a Saturday. Tech was supposed be arrive between 8am-1pm. They called around 1:30 pm, said they'd be 20 minutes late, then arrived after 3pm. When the tech finally did arrive - really nice guy, seemed very thorough, and was able to fix the problem. The tech had someone with him - maybe a trainee? - that seemed to slow things down a bit. Which of course, we ended up paying for since it seemed the job took a bit longer while he explained things. Overall, not the best experience, but certainly not the worst.
Description of Work: Troubleshooting problem with heating & A/C. Ended up being a bad thermostat. They replaced the thermostat, tested everything and all is working great.

The guys arrived late, no punctuality. Gave me a quote on replacing the duct which was very pricey.
Description of Work: Two people came and inspected the vents/ducts. Found the ducts were rusty and recommended me to change all the ducts. One of the guys went underneath basement to take a look. Finally, Air-duct cleaning was not done because he felt the ducts should replaced first.

It was not so difficult to schedule an appointment. Two technicians came to my house on time. This was my first time to clean the duct, so I do not know much about cleaning the duct. They were friendly and explained what they are doing. However, after they left, I had a slight doubt about the quality of their work. The reason is that when I turned on the furnace a few days later, I saw the black dusts around all the registers. Maybe the ducts were not completely cleaned?

The service technician, Joseph, is a pleasant friendly man. He explained each step as he was performing the service. I had never had this service performed, so don't have a comparison data point, but I felt the service was excellent and I'm glad I had it done.
Description of Work: Furnance and air duct cleaning. The service technician brought in a long hose which was attached to the truck, was kind of a large scale vacuum. He cleaned the ducts and furnance and checked the thermostat.

The two guys that came to do the work were pleasant and courteous. They were however very late, but they did call me to let me know. They were also considerate of my things and cleaned up after themselves. I don't know how much the work was, b/c my landlord paid for it. But I would hire them if I needed that work done.

Ron the technician was polite and professional. Cleaned the furnace and filter, and verified everything was in good shape. He noticed a leaky duct tape connection was causing warm air to blow into the garage, so he re-sealed it. He was in and out in under 30 minutes. My only complaint is that they give a 4-hour window for when someone will arrive, which seems like a long time.

Crew showed up on time and ready to work. They were friendly and professional. Whole job took less than a day. They answered my questions and cleaned up afterwards. They hauled off the old furnace and the garbage. They were backed up on work when I first called, so they were one of the last contractors to come out and offer an estimate. They were also recommended by my real estate agent.
Description of Work: Replaced 23 year old furnace with new Trane furnace, replaced plenum. Installed new A/C unit and pad outside. Completed all electrical hookups and connected everything to existing duct-work. Cleaned all the ducts. Replaced thermostat. Explained system. Pulled city permits.

The representative (Robert) was punctual and very friendly. He found the leak in my air conditioner. However, it took him a few days to call back with an estimate of the cost to repair. Further, he said it would cost about $3000 to repair the air conditioner by either replacing the condenser coil or replacing the entire condenser. When I had a representative from another company come out to take a look at the condenser, he fixed it for about $500. So the representative from AAA furnace had recommended a much more expensive solution than was necessary. Furthermore AAA furnace was not very good about returning phone calls. It took the scheduling department over two weeks to call me back to schedule a condenser replacement. By then, we had the problem fixed already by the other company for a lot less money.

The repair men (two) were on time, they went right to work and didn't stop for two hours. They were careful of things in my home and left everything as they found it. They did not try to sell me any more services while they were here - they did what was ordered and did it in the amount of time estimated. A good experience.
Description of Work: Furnace cleaning, installed a filter grill and brought two filters (one to use and one for next year). Cleaned the dryer vent and all of the ducts, cleaned the water heater and removed and cleaned the blower wheel on the heater. There was a lot of lint build up in the atic from the dryer vent and they also cleaned all of it out.

I called on Thursday and explained the problem to the person on the phone. I was told that because of the local heat wave, no one could come until Saturday, sometime between 8 am and 2 pm. The repairman arrived at about 1. When I explained the problem, he said he was sorry but he did not have the equipment with him to connect the drain. I was disappointed that I waited 48 hours for someone who was not informed about the nature of the problem, since I had explained to the dispatcher what was needed. He said there would be no charge for that visit and that someone would call on Monday. No one called.
Description of Work: We wanted to have the drain for our A/C hooked up. We discovered that when the unit was installed, the drain had never been connected and was leaking water under the unit which was damaging the wood and collecting under the house. Unable to contact the original installers, so I called AAA.

The repairman found that a fuse was blown. He replaced the fuse and advised me on how to replace them myself in the future and what to do to avoid blowing such fuses. Also discussed thermostat, then he moved the air vent to not blow on the thermostat, distorting the room temperature reading. Very professional and prompt.

I was pleased with the outcome of this check-up and the service technician. He was polite and courteous and seemed to know what he was doing. I felt very relieved that both the heating and A/C passed. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: We are selling our house and asked them to check the safety of the heating and air conditioning system. A health and safety inspector had noted a humming sound at the furnace but the AAA representative assured us that the hum from the transformer was natural and nothing to be concerned about. He also checked out the air conditioning system. Both checked out to be performing well. His check up took about a half hour or less.

I had an estimate of $1175 given by an estimater. This estimate was within $40 of a second estimate obtained. Techs were to be at job by 8:00 on Monday. I got a call at 7:30 saying that 2 techs called in sick. They would have to reschedule job or possibly could get a guy there later that day. The phone calls were polite. A second call mid day said a guy would be able to come in early afternoon. Two guys came and started the job. They were not able to finish the 1 day job, due to the covering not being able to be used in the situation. I was told that they would have the sheet metal guy reconfigure the covers and they would come back soon and would call. I got a call the next day at around 7:00 saying they would be there around 12:00. Then a second call said 2:00. They got there around 3:20. The job was completed by a second set of guys. The quality of workmanship of cover job was sub par, as the guy had limited sheet metal experience. R-22 was added. A third tech checked the job.
Description of Work: Existing refrigerant lines were moved from roof to side of house. Existing lines were left in place per customer. This job entailed installing new, longer lines and galvanized cover from compressor in back yard to furnace in garage. This was needed due to a new roof being installed. This job entailed removing refrigerant from lines, installing new lines and covering lines with galvanized cover and adding some additional R-22 refrigerant.

I went with them because of their experience and because they have their own metal shop and their own installation folks, not subcontractors. Some of their ductwork needed for my house had to be custom fabricated, and they did a good job making it up. Their technicians showed up on time each day and were uniformed and in a company van. They did an excellent job and were very pleasant. Price was not the cheapest bid, but was competitive and I feel it was fair, given the quality of the work. I am very happy with the final result and would hire them again.
Description of Work: Removed old furnace and installed a new Trane XV80 furnace and XL14i air conditioner. Replaced attic ducting, which was damaged and leaked. Increased size of cold air returns to improve circulation. Since I did not previously have air, they also installed refrigerant lines and electrical service to the compressor, along with condensation drainage pipe.

I was very happy with the service provided by AAA and would not hesitate to use them again. The crew arrived on time and quickly got to work. The duct cleaning was well coordinated with the installation as the cleaning crew arrived at the optimal time to proceed without delay. The crew was friendly and, in most instances, went out of their way to do a quality job. They worked well together as a team. There was a minor glitch when the original configuration did not fit the available space, but this was quickly reworked and resolved. The job was quoted to take 2 days but was finished in less than 1 day with a large crew and no perceived compromise in quality. The clean up was pretty good, but not perfect. The system is exceeding expectations for functionality, noise, and comfort.
Description of Work: Removed old furnace and replaced with new Trane furnace. Added Trane Air Conditioner (Coil, Lines, 220V AC, Condensate Drain, Outdoor Compressor). Added Aprilaire passive filter. Replaced thermostat with programmable White Rogers heat/air/dual stage control. Replaced return ducting with larger 16'' and insulated return. Cleaned supply ducts.
