A1 Parola Window & Blind Cleaning

Larry Parola and his crew cleaned 35 windows, 2 glass doors, 7 skylights, and all screens, runners and frames in my house, cottage, and office. They came early and left within hours. To keep everything clean, they wear paper over their shoes, so that dirt does not track in the house. I have used this service before, after a couple of other services I had used in the past raised prices quite a bit. Since Parola was advertised in Consumer Checkbook, I tried them out and have been very happy with them. The first time I used them was in 2014. They gave me the $480 price at that time and stated that they would not raise it again until 2017. So I will definitely use them again the next two years---and probably longer than that.

Larry, the owner, came with his crew of three guys. They were right on time and immediately got to work. I could easily talk with all of them to show them specific things and ask or answer questions. Our house is two stories and we have a fifteen-foot high window in the living room which they had no problem handling. They were pleasant, efficient and did an excellent job. I will definitely use them again.

I thought A-1 Parola's price was reasonable, but the actual work done did not meet my expectations. They cleaned 2 skylights in the house by opening the skylights and going onto the roof of the house. When they cleaned the skylight screens they did not put any cloth or rag on the floor under the screen, so all the dirt and dust fell on the floor. They also bent the kitchen sliding glass door frame so that the screen wouldn't open or close smoothly. They were also supposed to clean the garden window but they did not remove and clean the screens for the two small windows on the sides of the garden window. Overall I did not think all the windows were completely done. It looked like they did a sloppy job so they quickly finish the job.

They called and asked if they could come somewhat earlier than scheduled which was very professional and we accepted their change (easier for us). They arrived and immediately went to work. There was the proprietor (Larry) and two other men. They all spoke English and were easy to deal with. They had multiple size ladders separated by inside and outside use so as not to track dirt inside. They either wore booties or removed shoes when inside the house. They helped replace objects that had to be moved for them to get to some of the windows inside. They forgot to do two of the skylights and were extremely apologetic when I pointed that out to Larry before paying him. They cleaned them. Our windows haven't looked so good in years. Note that they take cash or check only. An excellent firm and I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Given referral by friend and verified by Angie's List. First telephone contact with customer service employe was outstanding. Gutter imformation received from supervisor was very helpful. Workers had obviously been well trained and worked efficiently.

Very happy with the service we got. Professional. Only minor problem was that it took awhile to schedule his crew. They must be quite busy.

They cleaned inside, outside and the greenhouse windows and the mirrors inside the house. They were very dependable and we have used them several times.

We called Parola last week and he arranged to come an do our windows the following Monday. It was a delight to meet him. The work was performed with skill and efficiency, so all of our windows look great now. We had some concerns about one of the high windows, so we called him and he came within an hour or so to check it. It was confirmed that we were seeing scratches on the window, not streaks. We were impressed by Parola's insistence on coming back to check the window himself.

I didn't use A-1 Parola but I would try him in the future. I called but he was finishing up on a job. He told me he'd call me back within a half hour and he did. He said he could come out the next day to give me a bid on cleaning my windows at my home. I told him I wouldn't be there but he said if it was ok with me he would just come and walk around the property and leave the bid on my porch. He followed through with all of this. I had contacted a few people from Angies list and one had come out the same day that I really liked and liked his price which is why I ended up not using Parola. However, Parola was very professional and his price was very close to my first estimate. I would recommend them based on their professionalism and responsiveness.

He is a great guy. They also do gutter cleaning; so they come in the fall and clean the gutters. They come twice a year to clean the windows. I like him because he is responsive and comes when he says he is going to come. He does provide good service for a reasonable price and I'm quite pleased with him.
