He was able to meet my schedule demands by coming early in the morning. He did a very good job and I was happy with the service. He showed up on time. The electronic thermostat that he installed has been saving me money on my bill every month.

They called me with a reminder before the day. On site they found that I had a very minor issue (tripped breaker) and did not charge anything for the call. They also told me that I did not need a PM on the equipment which I was prepared to pay for. I will definitely call them again, for regular maintenance and repairs.

Quick and easy install, two guys 6 hours work. Clean installation, fixed a problem with the drain pipe from previous installation. Very quiet unit, worth the $700 extra.

I am very happy with the work performed by A & H. Dale & his crew was very professional & the prices were reasonable. They completed the job on time & cleaned up after themselves every day. I definitely recommend A & H.

It is nice to see that there are still companies out there, that care about the customer. We were very cold and we needed to get our heating unit on, but couldn't do so. We called A & H and they made a special trip out to our house immediately, to get it working again. It turns out it was an on/off switch, that we didn't know about and as soon as they turned it on, everything was back to normal. We are very happy with both the professionalism, as well as friendly response of the man who came.

They left us with an estimate and followed up with a telephone call, a few days later, to see if we will be using there services. We decided not to go with them, because so far they had given us the highest estimate of everyone else that came out to our house.

Arrived within the two hour window given at the time the appointment was made. The repairman was friendly and professional. He explained what he was doing each step of the way. The problem was diagnosed and repaired in timely manner. At my request he even gave me suggestions concerning the securing of the furnace filter, a problem since the furnace was installed when the unit was originally built. I was very satisfied with the work and will use them again should the need arise.

There were two people doing the work. It took them only one day. They did call me 2 weeks later to make sure it was running good. I thought that was nice. I was very happy with the unit they gave me and the price involved.

Recommended replacing my smaller ducts for 6 inch ducts. Installed a new furnace and A/C unit. Hauled away the old furnace and arranged the city inspection. Told me it would last four days and they were right. No surprises with installation or inspection. What pleased me most was the city inspector who admitted, "I can tell that this is good work." I would use them again without reservation.

Received five bids for the job. A&H bid was not the lowest, about $500 above the lowest. The owner, Dale Phelps, estimated the job and provided a couple of very helpful suggestions on how to improve the heat and cooling flow in the house which were an addition of an air return and replacement of a grill on an existing air return. Addi tonally, he was the only contractor that suggested providing an outside air supply to the furnace to avoid the wood dust in the garage since I'm a woodworker. I think is code but no other contractor suggested it. We added a air filter to the job when we signed the contract, thus increasing final price. The work was done in the estimated time and on schedule. The installers were great, very neat, and careful about our property. We took advantage of A&H offer not to pay until the job passes inspection. The installation passed inspection first time - I got the impression that the inspector was impressed with the quality of the work.

I really appreciated Dale's no-nonsense approach during the bid process. He didn't try to upsell me something I didn't need, like the guy who tried to charge me $2,000 more to put a furnace in the attic "because from the garage I wouldn't get good air flow." Yeah right. Dale was very informative in his analysis of my needs. The guys that installed the furnace and air conditioners were great! Very, very professional and quite skilled in creating solutions for routing pipes and placement of the units themselves, which was sometimes tricky due to my home design. These guys are very hard working and extremely efficient. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a no-nonsense, highly professional installation of heating and AC. The job passed inspection the first time. No surprise to me as the workmanship and adherence to code was outstanding.

The work went very well. He answered the request for a quote promptly. The air filtering system that we had originally ordered would not physically fit, so the higher-end filtering system was added in its place at no additional cost. The work was quoted to be completed in 2 days, but required 2 additional hours on a third day. The work was performed well, so this was not a problem. Dave quoted for the job and also performed some of the work, along with supervising periodically during the performance of the work.

Went very well. Our late-afternoon call to the message service was returned the next morning, and the estimate was that same day. He located the parts, and returned the very next day, and Fixed it all quickly and on estimate. He was very courteous, and did a fine job of answering my questions and showing me the problem areas. I would definitely call them again.

The estimate process and installation went exceptionally well from start to finish. Dale Phelps provided very helpful advice on the system required for our two-story home and supplied all of the information necessary to make an informed decision. His bid was the lowest of three but it also defined the job most completely. The promised schedule was met and the main job was completed in one long day in bad weather. The installation was done in an exceptionally competent and professional way by two courteous technicians who answered all of my questions and satisfied all of my requests. They carefully protected the floors over which equipment had to be moved and they performed a very carefully thought out and neat installation inside, under and outside the house. Cleanup was complete and thorough. On a second day, a wireless thermostat and all of the additional electrical breakers were installed. The system worked without difficulty. I would be pleased to recommend A&H to anyone.

We called three people off the list. Dale was one of them. He came out and gave us an estimate within a couple of days and it was very convenient. He provided a written estimate on the spot which was also great because we knew the cost right away and didn't have to drag things out. He was the only contractor who included obtaining a permit in his bid and his bid was the least expensive. He gave us a brochure on the unit as well. We scheduled the job and his staff was there on time. The city did not sign off on the permit right away and wanted a few more things done. Dale's staff came back right away, made the repairs and the city signed off on the permit.

This was my first time using a contractor from Angie's List. Reinhart arrived on time, was professional and courteous. He found and fixed the problem promptly and overall it was a good experience.

The first visit did not find the issue, and the contractor did something unrelated, and then he said "fixed". Then the furnace stopped working totally after half a day. On the 2nd visit, he replaced a board, typical replace & try way to fix -- root case was not found, so don't know if it has really been fixed or not, thought it works now. During the coldest days in bay area, the furnace stopped working after the contractor's visit, that is a bad experience. Besides, I'm still worrying more about the quality of the repair, will it stop working suddenly?

From start to finish I am very pleased with how this went. I felt like Dale was interested in giving us the system that was the best fit for our needs and lifestyle. Instead of attempting to up-sell us at every turn he patiently explained to us why the system that he was recommending was the best combination of price and performance for our needs. When it came time to perform the work the crew showed up on time, did quality work, finished ahead of schedule and made sure that everything had been cleaned up before they left. They took the time to explain how to use all of the components that had been installed and made sure that we knew how to take advantage of all of the capabilities of our new system. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone that has a need for HVAC and wants to deal with a company that they feel like they can trust.

The technician did a good job at a reasonable price. Arrived during the agreed-upon time slot, was courteous.

The repair went very well. He knew what he was doing. He went right at it. Cleared a cob web from a vacuum line in the heater, and was done within an hour.

This company has a very honest approach, compared to two other companies I contacted. Given the same information, model number and serial number, they determined the heat exchanger was under warranty, my only cost would be labor. The original quote was for four hours. In the end they were prompt, arrived on time. Performed the work. Did it all with only two hours of labor. In the end, it did not cost $3000+ for a new furnace like the first company contacted. It did not cost the $800+ for parts and labor like the second company I contacted. All told, $160 labor.

Discovered that much of the heating ducting in my attic was not connected. Therefore I was heating the attic instead of the house. A&H came out and gave me two options; replace it all for $3500 or fix it on a time and material basis. Obviously selected option two. Manuel and Eddie showed up as scheduled, were extremely neat and courteous and fast. Would recommend them.

Their price was pretty good, and Dale suggested I not upgrade to more efficient units (not cost effective in this climate). One of the installers was pretty grumpy but proficient (He eventually warmed). The work quality appears pretty good. Like most things, I'll know better in a year. It turned out to be my responsibility to get city permit inspection. The first inspection raised a couple of issues which Dale quickly fixed. Then I got city approval.

Workmen were on time, courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. Additional requests for minor changes were taken care of without additional charges. A&H came to us highly recommended and we would highly recommend them.

He was prompt, professional, and honest. The work done was excellent quality.
