A 1 DESIGNS

Did not complete. Had to fire the contractor. The workers were not being paid, thus they did not show up. Shame on us, we overpaid and did not receive a complete job.

Their workers did great work, but their business practices were insufferable! Our project manager frequently lied or went back on his word and was a pathetic communicator. They went ahead and did work that we hadn't approved and then billed us for it and blamed us for problems that we did not create. They installed the cabinets before they told us we could paint the walls and ceilings, so we had to paint around them! Our refrigerator didn't fit because their designer put in the wrong dimensions so we had to go with a different one. Currently, we've tried to get the owner Hector to honor some warranty work, with no success. The guy is a liar and avoids responsibility at all costs. Unless you want a frustrating experience, don't use this contractor. He has many lawsuits against him and we believe he's out of money.

We had shopped around and decided to go with A1 Designs to build our cabinets and to lay the tile in our kitchen and family room. The tile job was great, the cabinets were alright but I had to oversee everything all the time. They tried to pass of cheap material for what I ordered, I caught them, and they corrected it. They had to make lots of corrections as I found mistakes, but they did correct them. They also had a mind to do what they wanted more so then what I wanted, and again I had to set them straight. I was not very happy with this company, but I did choose them as they were the cheapest.

THE WORKMANSHIP AND QUALITY OF THE WORK DONE WAS OUTSTANDING. THE GRANITE TOPS LOOK LIKE GLASS. I WOULD USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN, IF WE DECIDE TO HAVE SOME MADE FOR OUR HOME.
