3 Day Blinds San Francisco Bay Area

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this company. I do not recommend it. 1. When you Google skylight blinds, they come up. However, they don't always offer skylight blinds. 2. I scheduled a home consult and was told they would do all the measurements that day. However, they didn't have a ladder and so they had to reschedule another appt to remeasure. 3. I ordered blackout blinds; however, when the order came in, and the blinds were installed, they were not blackout blinds. Therefore, I will have to reorder and reinstall. It has been a total waste of time and they are also insanely expensive.

They did such a great job!

Great! I love my new roller shades (got the solar ones so my poor furniture could be protected.) The lady who helped me (and I'm embarrassed I can't remember her name) was SO helpful in helping me choose from so many choices, measuring and making sure I got what I wanted.

The person that came to take the order was very nice. The blinds are very nice but the service was terrible. I would not use them again. When he came and installed them, he installed three big windows and that went very well and he was very nice. He was very nice, efficient and he did a good job. The thing I was upset about was they were due two weeks before and I was waiting, I had the day all ready and he didn't come and they didn't call and tell me he wasn't going to come. Once he got here he was very nice and he did a good job. I have a little bit more to do than sit around all day waiting for somebody that isn't going to come. They should have called me.

Very smooth. the blinds are of very good quality. The service from beginning to end was prompt, courteous, and professional.

The consultant that was sent out us apparently one who is not trusted to do her own measurements due to too many mistakes .. so they insisted on a "2nd measure." The 2nd measure was for shutters that it turned out wouldn't fit well and weren't recommended. Switched to blinds .. 3rd measure resulted in mistakes and needed to be redone .. 4th measure and I am still getting text messages w questions that make me certain the consultant has not ordered the blinds and I'm worried about things like cords on blinds that will be 10' up and don't seem to have been accounted for in the design. I don't know what I am going to do about this as it's already over budget, the company will do nothing, and no blinds except paper temporaries.

Very well. The saleswoman was very experienced and professional. Even made a second trip to make sure all me measurements were correct. The installer was punctual and very efficient. We really like our new blinds.

Great. Corinne Mar, the design consultant, came out to our house and was extremely helpful to us in making the right choice for our blinds. The blinds arrived on time and were installed quickly. We are very pleased with her service and the quality of the blinds.

I am waiting for the blinds to arrive. I will likely update this review after they are installed. What bugs me the most is that I chose "3 Day Blinds" because of its name. Honestly. I should have done some background checking before I made the appointment with the consultant, but that's water under the bridge. I will be paying $1300 for two windows (though there will be a total of 4 shades manufactured). I knew that custom shades (including measuring & installation) would not be "cheap," but even including a promotional (buy one, get one [of lesser or equal value] at half price), the total seemed more than I was hoping to pay. What truly disturbs me is that they call themselves "3 Day Blinds." I learned -- at the END of the consultation, AFTER the measurements were done, AFTER the style and fabrics were chosen, that the products would be delivered to the installer A MONTH FROM the date of the visit. I was absolutely shocked. I thought, "well. . . these ARE custom made, and I guess I am paying this amount because they are American products." Making matters worse, when I asked the consultant where these shades were being produced, she replied: "Ensenada, Mexico." As of a few years ago, I'm pretty sure that the company had a plant in the U.S. So, I'm paying top dollar and WAITING A MONTH for shades that aren't even made in America. Since the visit with the delightful consultant, I have looked online, found a company (am I allowed to mention names?: Select Blinds), which manufactures one's custom blinds or shades in "one or two business days," and then ships them for FREE! The cost was less than half what I paid for "3 Day" blinds, and they have rave reviews from customers. Sure, I would have to measure and install myself -- but even if I hired an installer, the price would be substantially less than what I paid -- AND I WOULD HAVE THEM ON MY WINDOWS BY NOW! I've noticed many "A" ratings on Angie's List for 3 Day Blinds. Several are from "unknown" users. I truly question their validity.

I loved their work. There was a big problem with one of the blinds, but they really, really took care of it. They really took good care of it. In fact, one of the problems involved an installer who didn't know what he was doing and I was serious. They took such good care of it. I ended up getting a blind for free. They had to redo it. But, it made me really impressed with them because that was half way through my doing every window in the house and I had to get that one done because it matched another window in that room. My plan was to go somewhere else after that. But they took care of that problem so well. It wasn't just that I got the blind for free, I just liked the way they ended up handling it. I was very very pleased.

They were very professional. The people were alright, but the quality of the item has gone down. I had the service years ago and it was good, that's why I called them back. The people were nice and service was on time. Everything went smoothly and the service people were nice. They did everything in a timely manner. My only complaint was the material. The price was good compared to other places. I think what happened was I had to choose a better grades, so part of it was my fault. I probably chose something that was lower in price, but I know better now -- you get what you pay for.

Sheri Arata was the one. She was like having a top designer in your house, you don't always expect that.

You know has far the installation and everything you know its been great the only thing that I don't like about it, it's twice already in one of the big blinds have broken you know the ,whenever you try to brace it and then you close it and I told them it just it maybe the fabric used on it's not strong enough support it anyway its twice, the first time [inaudible] and this time they said it was going to be for free but I have spent very good money because I have got a lot of windows in my house it's a lot its about six thousand, seven thousand dollars I have spend on blinds and they are suppose to come in, I am hoping soon because my wife called one of the lady and they talked, one of they ladies called asking when she could come, she should either this week or next week.

We had to go back and forth with them a few times, there were some billing issues, and timing of service issues, but it was okay. The quality is pretty good.

It went well. They showed up when they were supposed to and some of our clients didn't show up when they were supposed to but 3 Day Blinds did. It was a little difficult getting ahold of them. The punctuality was very good.

Initial consultation was very easy; sales person had a good design sense and was very careful with the measurements, double checked everything, and explained everything to me. After a few weeks the curtains finally were delivered to the installer but were the wrong size. They had to be re-ordered and took another few weeks to arrive. The installer was able to come out on a Saturday and do the installation of the blinds; this went fine. Only problem is that one of the blinds retraction mechanism is setup opposite to all of the others, and the blinds have a tendency to catch on the window lip. Nothing too horrific. When the installer returned to install the curtains, the curtain rod was way too short, he didn't have the correct hardware, and was missing some curtain rings. Now we're stuck waiting another week or so or all of this to arrive, meanwhile we have curtains stacked on the floor our master bedroom. I called the people at 3day blinds and must say I was shocked at their hostility. This situation is horrible and we've waited far too long to have everything installed. I will never use 3day blinds again and recommend staying away from them. We had used Costco a few years ago at our previous house and had a completely flawless experience.

They were very prompt. They did a good job. I think I got what I asked for.

I sued 3 Day Blinds but the company is non-responsive. They refuse to return mail or phone calls. They did call back once and a woman kept laughing and then hung up (she had an area code of the Orange County Corporation so is an employee of the company). I wrote a letter of complaint about this and provided the phone number, but 3-Day blind di not respons to that wither. The 3 Day Blinds contractors provided inferior installation, inferior home assessment and advice, and an inferior product. As of today, 23, 2012, they refuse to respond. Most frustrating is that despite my winning lawsuit they kept me on their mailing list and just sent me a voucher for up to $600 saying that "I'd like to thank you for being a valued client of 3 Day Blinds and extend an exclusive offer to you." The flyer states "Superior Client Experience" and a "Brand you can trust." But from the way the company has refused to respond to me and the poor installation and initial consultation I saw nothing but inferior service. So just please beware.

We brought out 3 different places to do estimates and 3 Day Blinds was the best! They did an excellent job. We had odd shaped windows and they gave us suggestions on what to do. They were able to suggest colors that worked well for the room.

The guy that heads up the local one came out and measured and sent the order to Los Angeles. Los Angeles shipped the blinds to us and then they had an installer, who was also excellent, come out and install them. They did everything they committed to. The quality of the installation and the blinds is outstanding. We were very happy wit them. We would absolutely use them again.
