Gnk Garage Door Opener & Repair

Following an unfortunate altercation between the old garage door and a car, and a botched attempt to fix the damage ourselves (HINT: Don't try this at home!), we called several garage door repairers on Angie's list. Greg was the only person to answer the phone, and in fact none of the others even responded to our voice mail messages. He came round later that day (a Saturday) as he said he would, assessed the damage and gave us a very fair quote which we accepted. Given that we had no garage door, this was a rush job, and Greg had the door and all fittings by Tuesday. He kept in touch with us to let us know when he would be round to fit the door and arrived promptly. The door was fitted and we are very happy with the final product, and with Greg's attentive service. We don't anticipate needing garage door service anytime soon (assuming we don't run into it again), but would definitely call Greg if we did. We strongly recommend Greg for garage door work.

Very well. Garage would not work. Greg showed up within two hours after I called him. Fixed in one hour . Very reasonably price.

One of the springs on our old garage door broke. The Genie opener still worked fine, but springs are dangerous if you are nearby when they break, so a new Tortion assembly needed to replace the outdated system. Greg was prompt and gave me a quote of $350., which was similar to ones I had been given over the phone by other companies (they didn't come to look at the door, though). I said to go ahead, so he left to get the needed parts and his assistant. They returned in less than an hour and did the work in a couple of hours. The door works much smoother and quieter now and the work has a one year warranty. They cleaned up the area perfectly and were very friendly. I will use them from now on!

I found this companies name on Angie's List. I called and Greg came to the house within the hour. He gave me a price for the garage door motor and made an appointment to replace it the next morning. He also put a sliding lock on the door so that it was kept closed during the night. He came on time the following morning. He measured the garage door itself, ordered it and said it would come in in a week. He came out the following week, exactly, and replaced the garage door. The new door is incredibly quiet compared to the old one, fits well and has no gaps or air leaks. He explained how the keypad and remotes worked. He removed all of the debris, cleaned up beautifully and was done in 4 1/2 hours. I was very pleased both with his responsiveness and knowledge.

A wire had popped off the spring to the garage door which caused the door to close more quickly on one side than the other resulting in the door being closed on one side and open on the other. I called GNK at 7:30am and Greg said he could be by at 9:30 and that's when he arrived. 20 minutes later the door was fixed and closing properly. With the age of our track, etc we thought we would be needing to purchase a new set-up.

Excellent experience. Arrived on time, called 10 minutes prior to say he was on his way. Very pleasant, cleaned up before he left.

Greg is a pleasure to deal with. He answers his own phone. Tells you when he can arrive. Arrives when he says he will. Gives a price up-front. Does the work expeditiously and very effectively. He made adjustments in the door's functioning that reduced its sound by 75%. Cleans-up. Charges what he said he would (no surprises). I couldn't have been more pleased. Thank you, Angie's List. Possibly the new springs "persuaded" the 20 year-old opening mechanism that its time had come. So when it failed several weeks later, I again called Greg and for a reasonable price he, again, did a fine job, taking care with the details. I was, again, very pleased.

My garage door opener (about 15-20 years old) was not working and a roller had come out of the track. I called Greg about 3:30 and came out within a matter of a couple hours and was finished by 7:00. He diagnosed the problem, completely rebuilt the door opener, gave me new remote openers and replaced all the metal rollers on the door with nylon. Everything works great and the door has never been so quiet.

Our garage door was very noisy, off track and out of sync. I called and Greg came out on the day that was convenient for me. He showed up on time, listened to me while I explained all the problems. He showed me what he needed to do to resolve the issues. He was done within an hour. He also gave me a 90 warranty on his work.

Greg from Gand K responded to my call at 9:30pm and arranged to come in at 8am the next morning. He was on time, polite, cheerful and thorough. He had to return later in the day with parts to complete the repair, but he was able to assist me in getting the door to function enough to get my car in and out immediately. He ended up having to come much later in the day to do the actually repair than originally indicated, but this was due to a family emergency, and he was still willing to come and complete the repair in the early evening. His work was careful and thorough, and I felt that he could easily have made a bigger job of it and charged me more, but instead chose to be cost effective about the repair. I was very pleased both in terms of the work (my garage door works better than when I bought the house), and the price.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY. MY HEART TREMBLED WHEN THE GARAGE PANEL WAS COMPLETE. THE WORKERS WERE ON TIME AND EFFICIENT. MY GARAGE DOOR WORKED AS IF IT WERE BRAND NEW.
