This business is run by someone out of his home. He looks at your place via Google earth and claims to understand what it is like by viewing it online. However, if you don't have a square, run-of-the-mill house, he probably is missing a lot. We have a house with all kinds of windows, inside, where you can't see them, and out. This owner manages from a distance as well, but he is using people who are young and not very professional. They showed up unbelievably late, and I have never seen window washers who worked so slowly. They also did not even clean everything. They claim to be able to do power washing of your house. Be careful with that. They may do damage before they realize that they can't really do it without taking your paint off. Overall, the people I dealt with were very friendly, but they whole outfit is among the most unprofessional I have seen.

Hi [Member Name Removed] I am really sorry to see that you are not satisfied with the work we did for you. We ALWAYS guarantee everything we do, but you never mentioned anything to The supervising Crew leader onsite at your home at the time of the work, nor did you mention anything to me (The administrator) at any time after the work was completed. If there is anything we can do regarding our work that we can return and redo, we are absolutely happy to redo anything that does not meet with your satisfaction. To address some of your concerns: When pressure washing a house, we can only pressure wash as aggressively as the paint will allow. Sometimes, when the paint is old, or the prep work for the paint job is not done correctly, the paint is not able to sustain any pressure washing. If we are washing a house and there is any indication that the paint is going to come off, we stop the pressure washing and inform the customer of the state of the paint job and that we will not be able to proceed with the pressure washing without causing paint to come off. We always defer to not causing damage, even when it means that we cannot continue with the request of a customer to have their home pressure washed. In regards to scheduling, We try to be on time, but once in a while, events happen that cause us to be late for an appointment (often a previous client decides to add in more work while we are midway through an appointment). We try to avoid being late as much as possible, but in the event that we are late, we try to contact the customer to keep them up to date with our new arrival time. The company has a dedicated administrator running the office (not on site) and an onsite team leader that supervises the crew and handles customer interactions. If there are ever concerns, questions or someone is curious about our arrival time, there is always someone available by email, phone or text to answer any questions and coordinate arrival times. The crew ranges in age from late 20's to mid 30's. To some people, 20 and 30-year-olds would seem very young, but to many, it is a reasonable age to have people doing labor-intensive work. I personally worked on windows throughout my 30's, but now, in my 40's, I can't do the physical work required for the job, hence the administration work... The crew's experience ranges from one year to about six years. The business is run from a dedicated office workspace that is the lower business level of a larger multi-level residential building ( I am not sure how that is relevant to your dissatisfaction). We are a small company and having complete customer satisfaction and returning customers is super important to us. Since you are not completely satisfied with the work we did, I hope that you give us the chance to remedy this. If there is any way that you would allow us to redeem ourselves, we would be more than happy to accommodate. We really don't want any of our customers to be dissatisfied in any way and we hope to find a solution that would result in you feeling better about the services we provided. Sincerely, Window Doctor

When they were on site, I changed the scope of work, which they responded to very well. Clearly confirming the scope of the work and allowing me to give feedback while on site. I plan on having them come back in 1 year. I waited too long to have this done!

All in all, the process went well. The two guys who did the work arrived on time, were courteous, and took care that they did not bend out any of the screens. They worked well together. My only thought is that I wished they had pointed out to me that as soon as we had our first rain, the dirt and grime on the front of the house would run down the windows and that they would not look nearly as clean as they had been after the cleaning. I would have been willing to pay more if pressure washing of the front of the house had been offered before the actual window cleaning took place.
Description of Work: Removed screens front and back. Spray cleaned windows, and then cleaned individual windows. Replaced screens.

Hi [member name removed], I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with our services, as we truly aim to achieve an 'A' level of service and always promise to ensure that we achieve this for the task we are hired to perform. We offer two services, window washing by hand to wash all the glass in a house and Pressure washing with a powered machine to wash everything else on a house. The greater portion of our customers have us wash windows without pressure washing, pressure washing is probably only requested about 25% of the time. I am always happy to explain our process to customers and whenever I detect any sense of ambiguity or misunderstanding I always try to inform a customer as much as possible to allow them to make the best decisions as suits their needs. San Francisco residences do get quite dirty as a result of the fog, the rain, the wind and congested traffic, so most of our customers have us return once or twice a year to rewash their Windows as the windows accumulate more grime. Some of our customers choose every year or three or five to have us pressure wash their home, while others have never had their home pressure washed the entire time they have owned the building. It is very normal to have your windows washed and not pressure wash the whole house, because of the factors mentioned earlier, in San Francisco, your windows will again accumulate dirt and at least once a year need to be rewashed. I have never tried to up sell additional services to customers for several reasons and have always left it to the customer to decide if they would prefer to have window washing or also to include pressure washing. That said, If any of my customers ever feel that they have not received good value in the services that we have provided, I am always amenable to discussing what we can do so that they feel completely satisfied with our transaction. If you in any way feel less then great value, then I welcome you to discuss this with me and we can address this the next time you have us back to your home. Sincerely! Window Doctor
