 + -1 moreExcellent quality of work, good value. Only caveat... If you have animals secure them carefully, they were totally unconscious about gates and doors.

Description of Work: Chi at West Bay Painting was a pleasure to work with. They were prompt, stuck to the agreed schedule, and the work was of good quality. He also came back to do baseboard molding touch-ups after the hardwood floors were refinished and included that in his price. I would definitely work with him again.

 + 0 moreChi did an awesome job and the finished product is amazing. They took down the popcorn ceiling with amazing speed and left behind a very nice smooth ceiling, just like I wanted. The cost of the project was extremely competitive as well... was well below his competitors. Only issue was about cleanliness. I understand that removing a popcorn ceiling is very, very dusty, but there were some basics that could have been improved upon to reduce overall dust... especially in areas I stressed I wanted very well protected. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for... and despite the mess, I could not be happier with the resulting ceiling. In addition to the popcorn ceiling, Chi removed ugly mirrors surrounding our fireplace... matched the wall texture and painted. Not the highest quality finishing work, but given the scope and cost... he did an amazing job. On a final note, I did not use him specifically as a painter, but I have no doubt in his ability to do the highest quality interior paint work... will likely hire him again to do some painting!
Description of Work: Popcorn ceiling removal. Sand smooth, prime and paint. Remove large wall mirrors surrounding fireplace.

Description of Work: Chi and his crew dry walled a ceiling and painted a room that had bead board walls. I am quite satisfied with the value I received from them. They worked quickly and I thought they did a good job. I wanted a flat drywall finish on the ceiling and this is the most difficult to achieve. Their finish was not perfect but I suspect would have cost me 50% more for that work elsewhere for perfection. The room in my old house had odd moldings that needed to be dealt with and they handled all that. In covering the ceiling, they went the extra step to knock down high spots that a couple of other contractors were not going to do. So Chi was able to use thinner dry wall and still get a perfectly flat surface. They came on time, knocked the work out and cleaned up. The "B" rating for the quality is in relation to what a premium priced contractor would have charged to get an "A" job, but I am picky in the details and also I am not in a position to pay premium prices. In all I would definitely use them again and I received good value. Also the company is easy to deal with, I didn't get a lot of explanation or sales pitch, I told Chi what I needed, we discussed some of the details, he said he could do it, quoted a price, did it and its all good.

 + -1 moreTHIS COMPANY DID A GREAT JOB. THEY WERE A LITTLE SLOW TO FINISH THE JOB, BUT IT TURNED OUT BEAUTIFUL. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND THEY CLEANED UP ALL THE MESS THEY MADE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY.
