It went extremely well, except for a minor misunderstanding with the inspection date by PGE. I had to call them myself to set up the appointment; something I thought Val was going to take care of. At any rate, his work was exceptional and I'm thinking of giving him a call for some current electrical needs that I have. His attention to aesthetically pleasing and neat workmanship is his strength, along with an outstanding electrical fund of knowledge.

I actually came into contact with this company through Service Magic. As soon as I put in a request for electrician he called immediately and set up an appointment to come within the hour. Everything was great. He showed up and listened to the work I needed completed. He told me he was capable of doing the job and stated that he'd email the quote to me by Saturday, which was 4 days away. The estimate never came. He never called me back for a followup to see if I did get the estimate or not. I checked my spam to see if it went there. NOTHING. I figured if he didn't want my business and did not call him back to see where the estimate was. I think if he didn't want the job, he should have just stated that he couldn't take the job instead of telling me he'd send a quote and never send it.

I'm sure that Val is a great electrician. My experience is based on trying to arrange an appointment and receive a bid from him. The first time we scheduled an appointment? Val didn't show up and I had to call him at the last minute of our scheduled time. When I did, he said, and quot;Oh, I thought it was between __ and __and quot;....... well, I was going to give up at that point, because that is not a great sign. Well, we rescheduled. Val came and went. To his credit, he was kind and explanatory in his visit, and picked out issues others had already described to me. He promised a quote within three days. Nearly one week later, I emailed him. Where was the quote? I wondered. NO REPLY. Over 10 days later, I called again. He promised a bid and quot;in a few hours.and quot; Well, many hours later, still no bid. I guess either Val is popular enough that he doesn't feel he has to follow up with everyone, or maybe he is just lacking in his organization. From his point of view, I understand. On my end, it's not so great when you rearrange your schedule trying to make time for him to come over, or contact a highly rated electrician and expect a professional follow through. It would have been WAY better for him to say, and quot;Hey, I can't do it,and quot; or, and quot;Sorry, I'm too busy,and quot; rather than being flaky and unreliable. I wish you the best of luck if you choose to contact him. He did eventually end up getting back to me. I have faith that he is the great electrician other people say he is. He just has room for improvement like the rest of us.

Val did an excellent job. His crew arrived on time and the work was performed within the time frame proposed. As it was a multi-day job, they cleaned up at the end of the day and you couldn't even tell they were there. The power had to turned off for the service upgrade, but by the time we got home in the evening, everything was functioning properly. I would use Val and his team again.

Both times they were prompt and did a really good job. I like that they will do a small job for a homeowner and I have just been very comfortable with them.

Their response was good. They were detailed, friendly and helpful. They seemed extremely knowledgeable.

He came as promised. Started and finished the project. His team were very neat and professional. The team cleaned after themselves. It was a very good experience.

Most recently, Val installed a ceiling light in the kitchen of an in-law apartment. However he has done many jobs for me in the past and I am always very happy with his work. He always does a great job, is very neat, considerate, on-time and the price is right. What else could you ask for. I trust Val with electric work on my home as well. He really knows his stuff!
