Sunset Glass Inc

I purchased a condo and needed an adjustment to my patio doors. I called Milgard and they gave me the name of three service providers, one of which was Sunset. I called them in mid-December and they said they were very busy but they took my name and number and said they'd call in mid-January to schedule. I spoke to Laurie. I called in late January after not hearing from anyone and they apologized, said they'd highlight my name, said it must have slipped through the cracks, and that Wayne would call me back. Now it's mid-February. I haven't heard anything. If I had known this was going to be my experience, I would have found a service provider with greater honesty about calendar and availability. As it is, I pretty much wasted two months.

No one ever showed up or called to cancel. The only reason this is a D rating instead of a straight F is because it didn't cost me anything except the time waiting for them.

They replaced all the windows in my house with double tongue window 6-8 months ago. I spent about $370 on the last job. They very good, responsive and helped out when I needed a piece of Plexiglas over the skylight area and they threw that in just to be nice. They found something that would work perfectly and cut it and brought it and did not charge for that. They did excellent work, very professional and wasn?t just the minimum they did. I would recommend them highly.

They took the window, and told us they would have the replacement for us in a week. A week later we call, they said it would be another week... and again the same a week later. Every week we called for a month, each time they told us it would be done in a week. Ultimately it took about five weeks to have our window. Thank goodness the apartment was vacant for renovation or I would have had some very unhappy tenants with no window for a month. The quality of the work was fine -- once we finally got it. But I would never bring work to them again. Maybe if I had told them I potentially have sixty windows to redo they might have given me better service. But that shouldn't be necessary to get what was promised.

I called in the morning on 4/22/09 to set up an appointment for someone to check the cracked glass. The response on the phone was very professional and friendly. They sent someone out that afternoon. The person was prepared to replace the window right then until it was determined I would need tempered glass because the window went to the floor. This had to be ordered. Order was put in and they came back a week later to finish the job. Both persons who came to my house were professional and finished the job quickly and left no mess behind.

They are very strict with the code and are very efficient. They offer just about everything there is to offer in their industry. They are very complete. They are contemporary as well as offer other things such as safety glass for store fronts and board up commercial buildings. They are very punctual and make sure they have a window to put in before they put a hole in your house.

Everything went well at first. They came out to take measurements and quickly gave me a written estimate with a copy of their liability insurance and references. They even included a self-addressed stamped envelope! The guy who took the measurements was very thorough and precise and their price was very competitive but not the cheapest. I ended up delaying my project by a bit and then when I tried to follow-up with them I never got a call back. I left messages and even spoke to Wayne who said he would call me back but never did. I ended up going with another company.

Polite, good work done on time. careful and knowledgeable.

They were extremely skilled and professional. It took two men to remove the heavy, large windows and fix them. It took 6-8 hours and a couple of days in a row.

Very friendly; showed up on time for the measurements. But, they never called back with the estimate. After 3 weeks, I called and got some pricing from the office manager. The bid only included one manufacturer even though we discussed that I wanted to see comparable estimates from one other manufacturer. However, I said it sounded reasonable and asked her to have the owner call me to discuss the proposal. He never called back. I called 3 more times, was transferred to voice mail, and he never called back. I decided not to do business with this company.
