Description of Work: moved household possessions from Shoreline WA to Ogden UT |Actual price charged was much higher than price quoted |items were delivered two weeks later than originally quoted

Description of Work: picked up antique furniture to ship cross country. |workers were excellent and helpful. |shipment hasn't arrived yet so we don't know about things at the other end.

Description of Work: Move one bedroom with (approx.)30 boxes from Houston, Texas to Baltimore, MD.

Description of Work: Shipsmart moved my parents belongings from MI to WA over the summer. The first shipper that was supposed to pack their things showed up with absolutely no boxes or packing material and my friend who was there to tell them what to take had to do all the packing, with towels or blankets or whatever the poor thing could find. There weren't many items that needed packing thankfully but I was rather horrified to find out that she had to dig up boxes and pack things when she was just there to supervise and vacuum when they were done. | |The delivery took about as long as I expected and I didn't really have a problem with that but upon arrival we got a nasty surprise to see many of my parents pieces of furniture were damaged pretty badly. The headboard for their bed which they've had for 50 years was in pieces and one piece was completely missing which rendered it useless. My dad's leather wingback recliner had a huge indentation in the wooden leg which must've been caused by a piece of machinery, it was that deep. |Many pieces were just scuffed-up. It was distressing. | |I had opted out of insurance (of course) so I wasn't thinking anything could be done for the damage done. The folks at Shipsmart were very professional about the problem and offered me $500.00 to compensate for the damage. I was happy with this as my parent's things were not expensive pieces and, because of their dementia, neither noticed the damage or the missing headboard. I was left with a good impression is f the company overall because of the kindness of the staff that followed-up with me and made things right. |

Description of Work: The whole process started in mid July 2014 and finally received my shipment in late September. |Customer service was very lacking and return phone call to inquire about my shipment took forever to be returned and half the time they had no idea what I shipped or where in the U.S. it was, It initially sent from Virginia to coastal Georgia. I will never use or recommend them ever again.

Description of Work: Moved furniture & boxes from SC to Houston. All items arrived in original shape. Driver was meticulous in unloading & unpacking, as well as very aware if avoiding branches hanging from neighborhood trees. Did an outstanding job!
