There is an additional charge for delivering into the house, otherwise they will delivery it in the drive way.

They did a reasonable job with that. The one thing about it is they wait until they can put enough things together to make a whole load so it you are in a hurry it’s not the right service. If you have a few pieces of furniture to move across the country then they are pretty good to go all the way. It took them about two weeks. Price depends on if they do the packing. There are all sorts of options, if they do the packing, if they move stuff into the house there’s an extra charge for that and to go up a flight of stairs. They moved small loads within two weeks and they delivered when they said they would. The workers spoke English, at least one of them did.

They did a great job in packing. The picking up people were on time and they called me. They were nice so they were great. They were a little bit more than I was estimated they didn’t know until later because it bills on weight so I understand. The company is Ship Smart but what I think they do is they get local delivery people. So it took longer than it was supposed to be. I wasn’t in a rush so it worked out. It was picked up from a storage unit and it was being delivered to a storage unit. The company in Tucson did call me. When it was delivered, the guy was great, he was very nice. They said it is going to be packaged with palate. When it was delivered the palate was all the way up the side. Was it package safely, absolutely. There was no way I could do that myself. The delivery man, he was so nice, he put it back on his truck and took it back and then had to contact Ship Smart on what was going to happen. It was going to be delivered another day which they did. I had to hire and bring in family members and young guys to do this. I believe the president or the manager from Ship Smart called me and I didn’t ask for this, he gave me a $200 discount because of my trouble. He was very upset that his people didn’t explain how it was going to be delivered. I paid my relative and he is a young guy and trust me they had to work really hard to get his thing taken apart. Was it protected, yes. We had to use hammers and really big screw drivers.

They were great. They were fantastic. I was so impressed. They were big strong guys. They were very protective. Everything came out perfect. They came within the time window. I was so pleased with them. I would recommend them to anyone. They were good heart, big strong men. It was such a pleasant experience.

Smoothly in every respect. Both pick-up and drop-off were punctual and professionally handled.

This was my first experience with a shipping and moving company and it was a really great experience. The people I talked to were easy kind, polite and always willing to help. Their materials were easy to read and they welcomed any questions. The movers arrived on time and took note of all of the areas on each piece that would require special attention since the pieces are over 150 years old. They wrapped each of the pieces and took great care in loading each piece into the truck. The pieces were taken to a warehouse where each pieces was packed for shipping and when they arrived at my house I was so impressed and relieved to see how much care was taken to make sure that the pieces were safe and undamaged when they arrived. Overall, I would recommend this company over and over again.

So smooth. From initial phone call to final delivery, they were professional, courteous and really knew what they were doing. They had all the right equipment for wrapping the furniture, transporting it to the truck, boxing at the warehouse, and delivering it to my son.

When I needed a few items shipped cross-country, ShipSmart was recommended to me by the moving company my family has used for generations. It was so easy working with the folks at ShipSmart. Hannah kept me informed at each step and the items arrived as expected. Since these were family heirlooms, I was very concerned about getting them to me without damage. I highly recommend ShipSmart and would not hesitate to use them again! They provided professional service at a rate less than any other small-move company.

They provided an wonderful service at half the cost of other movers. They did exactly as they said they would, plus, they REWRAPPED and packaged my grandmother's china set (12 place settings) with not a singe piece broken or scratched. I had broken the handle off of one of the tea cups. They wrapped that cup and handle with just as much precision and care as all the other pieces. It may sound silly, but I got the feeling somebody on the wrapping end REALLY CARED!! I've moved across the country multiple times. This is by far the best china wrapping I've ever seen. Just as promised, the 4 boxes and one cedar chest arrived on the pallet, to be left at curbside. We were home to collect it, so we were able to place it right into the garage. (The cedar chest was also wrapped professionally with padding and shrink wrap.) After reading some comments about the orders taking up to 5 weeks to arrive, I didn't expect my things to arrive when promised. But they did! Amazing job. Way to go Smart Ship!

I was extremely pleased. They picked up as scheduled and contacted me when delivery was ready. They delayed the delivery a week at my request, as I was out of town and not available on the scheduled date. The goods were extremely well packed and protected. Nothing was broken or even scratched. I could not have done as well if I had been moving with a U-Haul trailer. The price was competitive with other quotes I had recieved, but those were not from companies that specialized in this type of delivery. For shipment of small amounts of important or fragile items I don't think you can find a better company. The representative (Robert) I worked with was always responsive and considerate of my requirements. I highly recommend them.

Our brother sold his condo in Arlington, VA in June of 2013. Due to his medical condition and being single, his three siblings had to handle the sale and logistics of the move, all from out of state. He was nice enough to offer family members any items they wanted and the remaining items were donated to the Am Vets. We had three shipments for family members going to three separate addresses. Two weeks before we had to vacate the condo, the moving company we had originally engaged backed out of the deal. We needed a moving company quickly and contacted Mayflower. They told us the total weight was below their minimum and would be cost prohibitive. They recommended Ship Smart in Altos, CA. a company that handles smaller moves. We sure are glad that they did. In less than ten days we were able to obtain contracts and estimates and pack up the shipments. There were constant communications during this short time and Ship Smart was always quick to respond and resolve any issue. They were even able to handle flawlessly an address change less than 2 days before the move. Ship Smart contracted with Blake Movers out of Rockville, MD to handle the actual packing and ABF Transports for the shipping. The three gents from Blake did an outstanding job of packing the items and put them on pallets right in the truck. They were extremely customer oriented and friendly and worked hard and efficiently. We also needed to have a multitude of items carried down three flights of stairs to put out for the Am Vets. It took them over two hours and they did it with no problems. They were also very diligent about all the paperwork to ensure the shipments were correct. All three shipments arrived within the planned time window. ABF called three days before the actual delivery date so all arrangements could be made. All shipments were in great shape and the ABF drivers were very professional. We made a few changes in two of the shipments, but the actual costs were very close to the estimates. There were no hidden costs. We were all very anxious about the move, especially since we were out of state and had only one weekend when we could all be there. Carly Covey and Libby Gamble at Ship Smart took care of all our worries with their professional, customer focused attitude. So, if you have small loads to move anywhere in the USA, we highly recommend Ship Smart. Not only is the company extremely customer oriented, but they partner with highly reputable local companies and national shippers to ensure total satisfaction. Everything was fine until the shipment arrived from West Coast to East Coast. (MD) The receiving warehouse in Baltimore went out of business after the shipment was sent so it was delivered to someplace like New Jersey! Took them an extra 10 days to get the shipment BACK from New Jersey to Bowie, MD. I don't believe this was Ship Smart's fault.

It took a little longer for the items to get shipped, but things were handled well. My son was contacted as promised, his items delivered when indicated, & all items were in good condition.

They were very responsive and quick to answer questions in a professional manner.

Ship Smart packed it beautifuly. It arrived in perfect shape and I was happy with their service. They did what they said they would do. It took 3 to 4 weeks which surprised me.

Everything was fine. The work was more expensive than it was bid because my belongings weighed more than they had anticipated. Only one item was damaged upon delivery.

I was at a loss as to how to get these items from my father's home in Florida to me in Indianapolis. The shipment was too big for USPS, UPS, or FedEX, but too small for a moving company. Ship Smart calls itself "Your small shipment solution." They were perfect! My contact was originally Timothy Keiser in Florida, but I believe the project was organized by a larger national office. Everyone was professional and very helpful. The company representatives that I spoke with on the phone were thorough in their explanations. The actual shippers that they contract with in different cities have to meet high standards. The items that I needed to get to Indy from Florida were all hand crafted by my deceased father, so they were very precious to me. They arrived in perfect condition. I really had no idea how to get these items to me, I am so grateful that someone put me on to Ship Smart. It was a perfect solution to the difficult problem of a long distance, but small shipment.
