Very well-- punctual, professional, helpful all the way

Great. The house is on a slope, so requires climbing about 2 flights of stairs (with 2 turns) to get to front door. And then there is an interior flight of stairs to get to the bedrooms. Among the items moved was a very, very heavy temp-controlled wine cabinet and a piano. We also moved a sleeper sofa. So there were some bulky and heavy items. Everything was done really well.

Their quote came somewhere between $1,200 and $1,400. We went with another company because their price was lower. They seemed very straightforward and business-like. We did not go with them but it was just a matter of price and not anything about them. We would consider getting a quote from them again in the future.

Shamrock was very responsive. Before I met with Jose, they sent me the insurance forms that the condominium association requires for the move. Jose was punctual and professional. The move is scheduled, but hasn't happened yet.

The pack/move went as planned. 3 packers showed up on time (early actually) and got to work. One of them had to leave early to go to another job but that was OK - they were well ahead of schedule and would only charge us for the time that he worked. They packed quickly and carefully. The move itself was a much bigger job. It took 3 movers about 7.5 hours. But it all got done and every thing was unloaded and placed where we asked. We even had them move some things that they had already placed and they did without question. Overall they did a solid job. The person that took my order estimated that the pack would take 4 hours and the move would take 6 or 7. Here estimates turned out to be nearly perfect. They are a bit more expensive than some other companies, but I think they make up for it in quality and punctuality.

From our phone conversation, to the in-person estimate provided by Shamrock, one could easily see that Shamrock prides itself on excellent customer service and honest business practices. We ended up using a consolidated shipping company for our long-distance move, but would have definitely considered using Shamrock had we gone the dedicated shipment route. Very professional company, with competitive prices for their services.

I was impressed by their professionalism, their punctuality, their attempt to provide me with the best deal....and all of my goods reached their destination in perfect form. They ensured that my furniture and other items as well as the apartment infrastructure was free from damage during the move. They were able to accommodate my timeframe for pick up and delivery even though my window for moving was very narrow. I highly recommend this moving company, and I am very careful when choosing movers.

I moved twice in one month after a guy basically stole my rent and deposit in his apartment scam. Tough living in SF. Lesson learned. Anyway, Shamrock delivered my stuff in a timely manner. The labor used to move were professional and on time. They took care going up and down the stairs of an old apartment and careful moving into a new apartment. No damages to report, which is huge. Great service. Hard working. And super efficient. They certainly did not milk the clock. Dealing with Siobhan in the office was great, too. She was very helpful and responsive. She was also understanding of the difficulties and challenges moving in and out of the City. In terms of storage, the only downfall is that it's not accessible storage and there is a minimum labor charge to access. But... they wrapped my leather couch and furniture for storage real well. I feel safe that my stuff will be fine for however long it's in there.

It was a very good experience. They were very conscientious. They did things very quickly and efficiently.

They were 2.5 hours late, the packed everything in our house. Everything even with written fax list. Mismarked boxes, we still can't find things. We were told they'd take 2 days to do it all, not one even the owner came and said it was a mess. 5 men showed up. The house (was only 1500 sq. ft., 4/5 minutes away). They broke this, that they didn't tell us.

Overall, the move was very successful.

The general impression of Shamrock Moving & Storage Inc. was positive. I was very satisfied with them.

The estimator should have come out to the new address because the actual work crew started adding up more charges once they saw the stairs they had to go up. I asked him if he wanted to take a look but he said it wasn't necessary. I was tough getting the piano and certain pcs of furniture up the stairs. I recommend pushing for a more detailed estimate.

I called other moving companies when we very suddenly had to completely pack up our 2200 square foot house and move out of State. Several came out and gave us estimates, but entrusting everything you own to people you don't know is a very unnerving experience. I was still having a hard time deciding on who to hire, but then came upon Shamrock in Angie's List reviews. I called them on a Saturday morning, only 9 days before our actual move date. Yikes! Jose came right out the same day, gave us a very competetive bid (and a realistic one, not one full of unseen costs to be added later!), and his personable and professional demeanor won me over immediately. I knew that he and his (family-owned) company would do a good job... Boy did they! The crew arrived precisely when they were supposed to, did a fantastic job of carefully packing up all of our belongings, filled their truck to the gills, and left us feeling that our material lives (i.e. stuff) were in good hands. Shamrock did a great job with our move! The team showed up on time (early, in fact!), worked quickly, and had us into our new house faster than we expected. I have several family heirlooms and some spendy furniture, and nothing was harmed. Not a scratch! Awesome job, would highly recommend them.

No glitches at all. Everything went perfectly. The movers were wonderful. I was a little disorganized so some of the things they brought I had wanted to throw out, but that wasn't their fault. Be sure to separate garbage from things you want to keep (ha, ha),

I would definitely hire Shamrock again. They were professional, friendly, responsive, and they took care to protect my things and my home. Pre-move: From my research, I knew I wanted in-person, not-to-exceed estimates from at least two movers. The woman I initially spoke with on the phone tried to talk me out of an in-person estimate. Despite this, she was quite personable and thorough. The owner himself did the walkthough several weeks before my move. He was professional and efficient, and he pointed out which items I could leave packed (small filing cabinets, plastic drawers, etc), and explained how they would wrap them in plastic wrap on the day of the move. Move day: The crew showed up on time. After a brief chat with the head guy, he and his two men immediately went to work. The three of them were pack mules! They carried things on their backs and never seemed to run out of energy. They didn't drop or damage anything either, even my heavy stuff. My total cost reflected a 5.5 hour move and included the cost of the parking permit for SF. I paid cash. They take credit cards, but with a fee.

Overall, I was satisfied very satisfied. Highly recommended.

They came to pack everything the day before moving before as plan. Everything was exceptionally packed and went great. The movers were the nicest people and couldn't have asked for a better service!

They were great. They were really professional. They were on time, friendly, and helpful. When they came to unpack things, they were really careful. They put down covering on the floor so that they would not scratch anything. They wrapped everything up, too. They really did a great job. I would use them again if required.

Shamrock movers moved me from San Francisco to Marin. They boxed almost everything up in the time they said they would and delivered and everything unbroken, on time, and didn't charge me extra for the additional guy they had to put on the job to accomplish that. The move cost me what they said it would. I didn't feel nickle and dimed. While I hope not to move again, I would certainly use them if I had too. I wouldn't bother quoting out out to compare prices because I trust them with my stuff and they were very professional.

We have used them before - they take good care, work really hard and deliver on their commitments. Honest. We would definitely use them again. They did underestimate the amount of time to move and worked with us to come with an appropriate price.

Everything went fine with the packing and all. There was some confusion with the numbering of the boxes. I originally thought some boxes were missing, but turns out they were just double numbered on the boxes. Overall it went smoothly, the date the shipment arrived was a few days later but they did contact me in advance and told me it would be delayed. Nothing broke and I thought the estimate was fair. Things ended up working well.

We had no dislikes. I thought they were terrific. We got multiple bids from different providers. They were prompt. The owner himself came in. They packed up all of our stuff, moved us, and unpacked. I changed my mind about where I wanted the sofa, and they had no problem with correcting it. The receptionist was prompt and courteous. I recommended them to my in-laws, and they had a fantastic experience, as well.
