Sears Appliance Repair

It was actually a pretty good job. I thought it was a little on the expensive side but other than that, they did a great job. My main likes were they showed up on time, they did the job fairly quickly and professionally, and whatever questions I had, they pretty much answered. The quality is actually very good. I can't really complain. They were very responsive. They did call up ahead of time to make sure that somebody was there. They were on time.

They put the trim around the molding and it looks a bit awkward next to molding. They glued the trim around fire place and it popped out when the weather changed. They came to fix it but there are are still areas that need repaired. They didn't explain beforehand when discussing putting the trim on next to molding. The floor is wavy by the window which I believe is due to weather. The only thing I can think of is that there are maybe not enough nails. Another contractor said that it was not good. They were difficult to get a hold of for a few days. Nobody responded when boss was on vacation. It was pain to to get things scheduled.

I called them up and the guy came the next day. They knew what they were doing and did it. I would tell others that they are good and to go with them.

Service went very well, they did a good job as far as I can tell.

I have been dealing with them since 60’s. They have been good. Everyone is professional.

They did not come right away and my food spoiled. They paid me $135 since my food spoiled. They are always professional.

Sears will refer you to this guy, he helped us on his own time, he is a worker up there that sells appliances, and he will put together this bundle package for you but he is a Reno fellow and he is just excellent. He got us all the right stuff and of course, Sears subcontracted out some of the work but they had this package where one could get things customized. We were very happy with them. They gave us a rebate; we got $750 cash back and a rebate card, so it was very nice. They did an excellent job for us. He helped us find the best of the best Bosch five or seven series appliances, because we wanted something beyond the average. They came in and assessed what we needed. They could have put in whole new cabinets and everything else but we had somewhat they identified as very good. They were very honest and I appreciated them not having us replace that. They had good alternatives that looked great but they told us ours was solid oak and so they did a good job identifying it. They put in a whole-full kitchen. We have a U-shape kitchen, long kitchen with double sink, one smaller stainless steel with the larger one. We bought a top of the line garbage disposal and a very nice delta plumbing. We just picked those out ourselves and asked them to install it. They prepped up the backsplash for tile work to be done. They subcontracted it of the work. The fellow that came was very professional. We spent a lot of money but it wasn't bad value, it was an excellent thing.

I have a Sears card for home improvement. I wouldn't refer them, because they are too expensive. Now that I look back, I wish I would have gone another route. The pricing is ridiculous.

It was very good. They were professional. They were on time and they did a good job as I think anybody could.

It was not a good experience. The sub contractor they used was not very good. They didn't know what they were doing so we had to have the job redone so that ended up being three times the amount of time.

So, we decided to go with them. He was very professional, knowledgeable, seems to know right away what we needed, was not trying to sell us anything above and beyond. When this guy came out, it was a less stressful, did not try to force us and did not tell us to buy bunch of extra stuff.

Two gentlemen showed up early in the arranged time window and spent nearly three hours completing the work. They were as quick as possible and while it was obvious one of the two was new to the game I would say both performed in an adequately professional manner. Extra care was taken with soiled spots. My couch has a soft fabric with some folds in the material and some distortion occurred. Nothing really bad but I'm working to restore a few of the original pleats. A post clean spray of enzyme was made to eliminate pet odors. This is the morning following and materials are almost dry. The rugs are much softer than before and the stains and smells appear to be completely gone (note that I have cats). The cost seemed high but when you factor in man hours, cleaning chemicals, equipment and the fact the the job appears well done I would recommend the Sears crew.

They provided excellent service and the price was equitable. It turned out to be a great experience.

Don't walk - RUN AWAY FROM SEARS HOME IMPROVEMENTS! The shower/tub enclosure had to be installed THREE TIMES! They blew out my galvanized plumbing, ruined my bathroom counter and mirror and ruined one of my kitchen cabinets attempting to saw behind the third enclosure. The pipes now leak and bang. Workers didn't show up on time, workers and managers schedule appointments that they didn't keep, managers auhorize work and then didn't reimburse me for work I paid for to repair some of their damages. I wrote a written complaint to their headquarters and now they make promises to repair damages. The last inspector they sent charged me for doing nothing before he would leave my home. Nine long months with lots of promises and no action. Lots of nice "Yes" workers, managers and corporate managers who don't do anything they say that they will do. I thought I could rely on Sears' good reputation and quality service. I WAS WRONG. SEARS HOME IMPROVEMENT HAS BEEN AND STILL IS AN OVERWHELMING NIGHTMARE FOR ME! :(

My experience with Sears Home Improvement was not all positive. I used them in the fall and we just got the final inspection done a week ago. The workers were very good. They were on time, they would call and let me know if they were running late. They were pretty quick. They finished in less than three weeks. Where the negative comes in was that I had a lot of problems with the electrician from there. He was not professional at all and that's why it took so long to get the final inspection done. The work they did in my kitchen I am very happy with, the countertops, floor and cabinets are beautiful. We had some issues early on, and some arguments about the electrical. That was their subcontractor.

Dont waste your time. I cannot image a more incompetent org. Their customer service is beyond poor. We ended up cancelling the order altogether because the delivery truck never showed up on the day they scheduled... The driver went to the wrong house and never called us back... We were then told by 3 separate CS folks that it was on its way, that they would call, that it would be rescheduled, that they would call first thing in the morning to set up a time... None of that happened. When I finally got a supervisor on the line, she told me it had been rescheduled for 2 days later! and that there was nothing she could do to change the date... Dont waste your time or your money buying anything from them... local stores will match the price and actually do what they promise. Sears is long since dead.

This is a scam so all Angie's Listers beware! We called Sears to clean our heating ducts and they quoted $171.00 (they had a special advertised for $130 for up to 8 ducts + we were to pay an additional $30 for our ninth duct + there was an $11 gas surcharge). We scheduled our appointment and the tech arrived 15 minutes past the tail end of our 3 hour appointment window. Upon inspecting the ducts, the tech informed us we have asbestos in our ducts so he could not do the job but he should inspect and clean (read vacuum) the furnace as long as he was here. He then spent 30 minutes vacuuming the furnace and presented a bill for $705.00. When I called Sears to complain I was told that the air duct cleaning service requires the tech to inspect the furnace first because they will not clean the air ducts only if the furnace needs cleaning as well. Makes sense. HOWEVER, because our ducts could not be cleaned due to asbestos it makes no sense to clean the furnace when the ducts are still dirty. Furthermore, if it is standard practice that the furnace be cleaned in conjunction with the ducts, that information needs to be shared with the customer at the time the service call is scheduled and a quote for this service needs to be given. This is bait and switch at its worst.

He claimed that the vents I had were too old to be cleaned with their equipment and to prove it he brought a small piece of duct tape down from the attic and claimed this was why they were too old. He also brought a a lot of dirt and dust down from the attic and got dirt on my freshly painted wall. I told him I wasn't interested and he charged me a $45 service call. I seriously felt like I was being scammed and then getting charged for what amounted to a sales call?!? I will not ever use sears again.

Originally the plans moved forward as promised. The work was to be started in July and finished in September. As of August, I only hear from Sears when I call them. It is now the middle of November and I still don't have a start date. I called the National Customer Care Group a month ago and they promised they would make the job a priority and I haven't hear back from anyone.

It was on a Sunday late afternoon and we where ready for our 4 hour road trip. We started driving and the car felt not right. We stopped and discovered a flat tire and of course we did not have a spare with us We called around, nobody was open. My last call was to sears. The people where about ready and started finishing up. On the phone I pleaded to help us and to my big surprise they comforted us saying they would wait for us and not to feel bad because they would get us on the round. Upon arrival they kept there promise. They where fast and efficient, new tire reasonable price and the people where very polite and pleasant to deal with. They helped us after closing hours. I will never forget what they have done us. Thank you!

I called for an appointment for my washing machine on Sept 1, 2013. First available appointment was Sept 20, 2013. I explained the issues and they sent a tech that could only perform annual maintenance. Finally I got an appointed for a "repairman" for Oct 3, 2013. I am not a happy camper/customer.

The salesman was very polite and professional but he wasted my time. I told him up front what my price range was and he took about two hours to come up with an estimate twice the amount I quoted him. Obviously we did not do business. Dont waste your time and call Sears, you can get the work done much cheaper.

Customer service was not good

Heavy stains in carpet from tenants they took their time and got all of them out. It looks nice I would recommend them in the future the price was fair for the amount of work
