Sears Appliance Repair

The floor looks really nice. They did a great job. I had put my name in to get a quote and the salesman came to my house and gave me a quote. The guys that did the job were really good. They cut down the door for me and they did the baseboards and everything. They did a great job and cleaned up everyday afterwards. I have a two storey house, but they worked on the entire first storey. I think the price was a little bit high. I would use them again in the future if need be.

The delivery was included free and the charge for installation & parts was $150. However, after they arrived I was charged an additional $225 dollars for additional parts and labor, this ammounted to 2 small peices and about 5 minutes of additional time. I asked the installer about the charge as I felt it to be fraudulent. He informed me that it was a set price determined by Sears. I just want to inform other that are considering Sears for installation that addition, outrageous charges will be added. I wish I had purchased the dishwasher through Sears and then had someone else install it.

The workers were outstanding. The interaction with the company was not good. They promised me things that did not happen. I was kind of left supervising the project all by myself. I did not have any complications with the workers. I would not recommend the company. The quality of service is very good.

The shower leaked under my house, the gutters kept falling off my house. The shingles they installed on the roof were the 5th layer, and this is illegal. After many, many, many, many calls to their customer service desk and no response, I finally gave up because Sears doesn't honor the guarantee that they give to you upon signing the contracts. I was a fool to continue to do business with them after the shower incident.

One gentleman did the whole thing and it was very fast. They completed it within a week and they were very careful about keeping the dust from the rest of the house. They covered it with plastic and did a very good job and it is holding up well. We were pleased with the work they did. They were fast and efficient.

They did a so-so job, quite average. The cleaning was not up to my expectations. I felt some areas were not cleaned thorough enough. The dirt actually seemed to accumulate more after the cleaning. The estimate provided in person was double that given by phone. I felt this was a bait and switch tactic. I also felt they were lacking in communication and didn’t really offer a personalized service. I would not consider working with them again.

Very good deal. The salesmen were all knowledgeable. When there were any problems I called them and they quickly took care of it. I asked them questions and they knew the answers.

I have been using them for the last three years. They usually call me to remind me when I need my carpets cleaned. They are professional and they do a good job.

The guy that came was very efficient, polite and did a great job.

I recently went thru the kitchen remodel from H***. Their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee? is a JOKE at best and criminal dis-advertisement at worse. While I did receive a ?generous? settlement of 3.5% off my contract of $23,000+, it is hardly enough for the nightmare that was my life for 2+ months for their ?7-15 business days? job. The good news is that I have already prevented 3 people from using Sears for their remodeling needs - 2 kitchen remodels and 1 siding job! I work with a company that represents 40,000+ homeowners in Southern California as well as being a member of a National Organization that presents 10,000?s+ homeowners nationwide. And, it will be my personal mission in life to make sure that I tell EVERY single person I come in contact with, be it while I am walking my dog, at the supermarket, on-line, at meetings, seminars, classes, etc. to NOT use Sears unless they want to deal with attitudes, be over-charged, mislead, lied to, and generally jerked around at every turn during their remodel. I spoke with EVERYONE in the Valencia California office and this too was a bad JOKE!! If I was not dealing with ATTITUDES, I was being apologized to (gee, if I had a dollar for every time I heard ?I am sorry?, my kitchen would be paid off by now many times over!) for yet another screw up!! I chose Sears for my kitchen remodel because of the ?name? and because I was assured that my job would only take ?7-10 business days? - had I known then what I know now, I would have been better off using a ?no name? company from the Penny Saver and probably saved thousands and been just as satisfied! I may or may not have had some of the same issues, but at least their level of service would not have been ?disguised? by a supposed trusted ?name?. Jim Bruder from the "Blue Ribbon" part of Sears contacted me after many emails and lead me to believe that a better financial settlement would be forthcoming - he totally agreed that what I went thru was unacceptable for a company such as Sears. I provided Mr. Bruder with a detailed history of EVERYTHING that occured during my "nightmare" as I now refer to the whole Sears experience. He assured me that he would "personally" investigate and get back to me with a "resolution". Well, after several weeks I received a badly worded letter that was yet again WRONG in the detailing of my "nightmare" with a "nothing else we can do" closing. When I emailed Mr Bruder that they had yet again gotten it all WRONG, his response was to offer me a $500 gift card. I told Mr Bruder not to bother as I would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, shop at Sears again and would only burn the card in effigy! I just cannot believe that a company like Sears can get away with charging me over $20,000+ for a job that should have been 1/2 of that and then to simply give the proverbial "shoulder shrug" when I demanded a comparable resolution for what I went thru!! I have copies of all communications with Sears and whatever else you may need. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help me to not only get a resolution but to show Sears that they CANNOT treat people this way!!

They were fast and efficient and they cleaned up after they were done.

They raised the price $50 from the phone estimate by adding the return for each furnace to the vent count. They removed all vent grates and went into sales mode: "We can't warranty this unless you have each vent sealed to the wall with no gap between duct and drywall". They wanted $20 per vent for that so I told them I'd do the taping myself. So they cleaned each vent and I followed along behind taping each one, much slower than they cleaned. They did the dryer vent last. They didn't do it from both sides - only inside, as they didn't want to squeeze under our porch where the dryer outlet is. They finished and left without telling me, as I was still upstairs taping vents and replacing vent covers. I was unhappy because they didn't get my dryer hooked securely back to the wall, and also crushed the aluminum flexible tube used to do so. They also didn't vacuum well; there was drywall and dust under each vent. They did come back to reconnect the dryer when I complained.

The Sears representatives were on time and were very courteous. They did a pretty good job--my only complaint is that all of the items were left quite wet. They took over a day to dry.

They service techs were on time, quick and it came out beautifully.

Sears subcontracted a company to replace the heating and air conditioning system. The system was 17 years old, so I thought it was time to replace it. I had to call them back several times. I had gotten several prices before and theirs was the best price. I used to have a Lennox system. The new system is a Carrier System. The living space in my house is only 1000 square feet. The other 500 square feet are the garage and yard.

We were very disappointed with the horrible chemical smell that would not go away. We aired out the house day and night for two weeks but the smell was still bad if we closed the windows for any length of time. When we complained Sears said they would rinse the carpet. The technician who came to just rinse out the carpet was rude, obnoxious and totally unprofessional. He tried to blame the smell on the Sears duct cleaning but the smell was definitely from the work on the carpet. We told him the agreement was to just rinse out the carpet because we couldn't take the smell. We waited outside while the work was done. As the technician was leaving he said he also put a protectant on the rug. We couldn't believe it! We didn't want anything added, just rinsed to get rid of the smell. Well, it smelled again. We had to have someone come back and rinse the carpet AGAIN. It was all infuriating, not to mention wasted time and inconvenience. We will never use Sears again.

The office person informed me that there would be extra charge for the extra large family room. That was nice to know in advance. The technician were a little bit late but they called in advance. One surprise was that they charge 2 rooms for the ''L'' shaped hallway. They did make sure I was happy with their service and asked if there were anything else they could do. Although they dripped water onto the hardwood floor, their customer service attitude made up for it.

They were prompt, courteous, and did an outstanding job. A different two-man team came a few days later to re-clean areas where soil had wicked up as the cleaned carpets were drying; no extra charge. We are delighted with the results. Good work. Nice workers.

I was quoted a price over the phone, which was honored. When the crew came out I was given the sell job to have pet odors in the carpet taken care of, at first for $20 (sounded good to me so I said yes). Then 10 minutes later it was "Oh that was just for putting it on afterward and only one area", so to do both areas and both before and after all of a sudden became $90 just before the job was started. I hate this way of doing business (not professional in my book). I declined at that stage.

ALL I HAVE TO DO IS HAUL THEM IN AND THEY DO THE REST. I HAVE HAD THEM CLEAN MY CHAIRS AT LEAST TWICE A YEAR. I HAVE A LOT OF GRANDKIDS AND THEY NEED TO BE CLEANED REALLY OFTEN.

I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH SUCH A WELL MANNERED STAFF. I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE THE NICEST PEOPLE AND I HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS TO THEY COMPANY.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE WAY THAT THEY CONDUCTED THEIR WORK. I DID NOT EVEN HAVE TO TAKE IN MY FURNITURE, THEY CAME TO MY HOUSE AND CLEANED IT THERE.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID. I THINK THAT THE PRICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE. I WAS COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE.

THE WORK THAT THEY DID WAS PRETTY GOOD CONSIDERING HOW OLD AND DINGY MY CARPETS WERE. THEY DID EVERYTHING THAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND WERE DONE EARLIER THAN EXPECTED.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE SERVICE. THE PRICE WAS GOOD FOR THE QUALITY OF WORK I RECEIVED FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND GOT DONE IN A TIMELY FASHION.
