Restoration Timber

I wanted to make my own restored wood shelves for the bathroom. I called ahead and asked if they had two matching planks of a certain size. After checking, they called me back and setup a pickup time. I came into the great showroom and picked up the two planks waiting for me. They were kind enough to explain their recommendations for water-resistant treatment when I asked about finishing. In general, they seem to have access to some spectacular and unique pieces of wood in addition to their flooring wood products.

I HIGHLY recommend this company. Mike Wilson is an expert in this field and spent a lot of time on the phone with me, explaining how wood is harvested and why I needed a certain age of lumber. He looked at multiple samples over a 2 month period to match my floors as perfectly as possible. He called his many lumberyards across the nation to match it, and found a lumberyard relatively close to me so that the shipping charge would be minimal. He spent a lot of time with me over the phone and over email, before I spent a dime on lumber with him. His customer service is excellent. And I am a tough customer. In December, I had an installation company pry up my wall to wall carpet. Underneath the carpet was partial flooring - about 60 year old. I found Mike Wilson through the internet. After 3 months of working with him, we finished the floor in late February. I thought his price was excellent - low actually considering the quality of wood and amount of service he gave. I just can't sing his praise loud enough.
