 + -1 moreWe had an excellent experience with REDFIN. Rosemary was there to help when we needed her, and we felt she represented us very professionally. After getting an overall negative impression of the real estate industry (mainly sand in the gears as far as I can tell), working with Rosemary was a breath of fresh air. I hope to never hear another agent patronize us with stories about how only a Neighborhood Expert could give us the service we needed. We knew where we wanted to live, we could find listings on line, and we didn't want an agent who would guarantee to close a sale at any price (to us). And the $20,000 rebate we earned certainly is a nice bonus. Anyone who says the services of a buyers' agent are ''free'' is just delusional; their commission is right out of the buyers' pockets.
Description of Work: REDFIN is a discount real estate brokerage service and provides a 2/3 commission rebate on a home purchase. Rosemary represented us when we bought our home in Sunnyvale. That involved obtaining disclosures, filling out contracts, negotiating with sellers, arranging inspections, etc. Basically, the only thing REDFIN didn't do is to help us find our home, which is easy enough in the bay area since MLS listings are available on line.
