PUMA MOVING

I had a fire safety inspection with the city and I spoke with Guy over email, and phone as well as met with him in person to review what needed to be done (remove junk from common areas and clean those areas). Guy was completely great and responsive on the phone, email and in person. I felt confident he would do a good job and follow through as planned. He drove past the property to look for when the street cleaning would be and determine the best time to do the work. He said they could do it anytime. We arranged that he would pick up keys Monday and do the work prior to my Tuesday inspection. Monday came and he was suddenly MIA. I called, I texted, I emailed, I never heard back. I would incur a fine from the city if this work wasn't completed, so I had to scramble and find someone else on Tuesday morning to get the work done for a Tuesday afternoon inspection. I still haven't heard from them and I have no idea what happened, maybe there was a family emergency?

I can recommend them completely. They were friendly, professional and efficient. We have a lot of stuff that's hard to move - large, heavy and weird shaped antiques that have been in our family for 150 years, and they handled everything with great care. One thing broke - a glass ikea lamp that was already cracked - and they were devastated, coming to us immediately to show us and offer to pay. The original quote they gave us was really underestimated, but they stuck to it and didn't give us the feeling they were cutting corners (we did cover some of the difference because the work was so good, and the price very reasonable).

On the positive side: moving crew showed up on time. Cost was within quoted range. On the negative side: over half of the pieces of furniture they moved received minor scratches, dings, or other damage. Our bed was re-assembled incorrectly in a way that required multiple people to fix. Puma did send two people a week later to fix the bed. Unfortunately, the people they sent smelled so heavily of smoke that it took a day or so to get the odor out of our apartment.

They had good professionalism and were very friendly. They were very fast, very quick. The price was really good. It was very reasonable. I would use them again.
