Didn't go well, instead of sawing through the concrete, he used a jackhammer, and he hit the waterline. His plumber came and repaired one connection, but when he turned the water back on into the building, no water came out of the pipes in the two rental units. I had to have other repair people come and lay new pipes from the water meter at the curb into the building so that water was flowing in to the units. Not a good experience. I have not received a bill yet; however, my costs for new plumbing, putting my tenants in a hotel, etc. were well over the quoted cost of $1,200 for the concrete work.
Description of Work: Concrete sidewalk squares were removed so that a tree stump and roots could be dug out. New concrete sidewalk was then installed.

Mr. Jingles was referred to me by a carpenter friend, and it was the best experience I've had in managing this four-unit apartment building. He was the only one out of 6 calls for estimates who responded. He came by the same day he called to look at the job and emailed me an estimate that night. He was flexible about scheduling, and was able to help us out within 9 days of the estimate quote. He was charming with a terrific sense of humor, and had instant rapor with everyone. He handled our neighboring "sidewalk supervisors" with his usual charm and good cheer. He worked quickly and efficiently, and the jackhammering was minimal. He takes pride in his workmanship, and did a terrific job. No fuss, no muss, and as his biz card quoted "No excuses." I am completely satisfied with his results. We have very little on-street parking available here, but he was able to use our driveway. That night I parked my own car in the space in front of the new work (it was right directly at curbside) which helped him tremendously the next day. He could and did use the parking space for his work and his tools.
Description of Work: Broke up 9 squares of damaged sidewalk concrete and removed all debris. Mixed new concrete on-site in his portable mixer and re-paved 7 of the 9 squares removed. (2 squares left open for future tree re-planting.) Removed all underground tree roots that had breached the previous damaged sidewalk paving. Left smooth, beautiful new surface and blocked off entire work area for safety of pedestrians and passersby until concrete dried. Acquired all necessary permits from the county dept. and included this in final price.
