Description of Work: Ben Peters of Peters Design did a great job as our General Contractor for a small office remodel in our home. He was professional, responsive, cost-effective, and most importantly put together a great team (electrical, carpentry, floor install, painter, and referral to a custom cabinet maker (matheny factory). All of the sub-contractors were easy to work with and effective at their roles. We would definitely hire Ben and/or any of his team members again for future work. The team did basic demo (took out a shower, modified a wall), created a custom space for a new wine fridge, put in new ceiling can lights, installed a new laminate floor, and repainted the room. Ben also helped us work with matheny factory to design and order customer book shelves and a desk for the same room (still to be installed).

 + -1 moreWe needed to do this in three phases and Ben was willing to work with us. Ben would communicate what he was going to do every couple of days so I was prepared (ensuring the area was ready and how long it would be unavailable). Every night he would clean up and leave our place orderly. He always reviewed the progress and updated us on any issues or changes or things that would require a decision (with recommendations).
Description of Work: We contracted with Ben Peters, co-owner of Peters Design-Build, to replace three sliding doors and install architectural mill work throughout our home. The new patio sliders he put in were wood-clad Anderson units, including a stain-grade 10' door to the family room that my husband finished beautifully following Ben's installation. The living room & foyer were improved by the addition of an elegant crown molding, and the old door casings and baseboard were upgraded to an attractive, traditional style too. Our guests continue to comment on how terrific the house looks with these improvements. It really "pop"s a standard ranch to a classy home. Ben is courteous, professional, reliable, and has a great eye for design. In addition to top quality workmanship he is responsible, detailed, timely, honest, and clean (no mess). His work includes window & door installations, cabinetry and mill work. We also had a chance to tour home remodel & addition Ben built in Oakland (hills), which included full kitchen & bath renovations & roof deck. It was spectacular. My husband & I will continue to contract his services and refer him.
