I had been shafted by an electrician, so was really careful after that. Got a great electrician from Angie's list, but hadn't found anyone to do my floors yet at the time I met Drew. He was a casual friend I had met about 25 years ago. I was a little hesitant, but decided to give him a try when I thought harder about the work I had seen him do 25 years before. I looked at his 'book', and decided to go with it. He was prompt, courteous, fun, did a great job on my floors, and I don't think anyone could have done a better job. I'd hire him again in a minute. In fact I'm thinking of redoing my kitchen, and will hire him again when the time comes.

I hired a handyman who insured me he could do everything that I asked, including laying the floors. After two weeks, I fired him because he wasn't doing a lot of the things I needed done, but still expected to be paid for his time. Drew came in and assessed the remaining work to be done. He gave me a time frame for completion, and explained everything that he did. He checked with me before he started anything new, and insisted I prioritize what he did. He was full of information on things that had been done before he got here, and shared information on things that were done incorrectly, but that I had not noticed. He then fixed the mistakes. He was comfortable to be around, and cleaned up after himself. As I was eager to do the things that I could by myself, he was great at pointing out things I could do and giving advice on how they could be done. I felt there was constant open communication between us. He would be my first call for anything I needed doing, because if he couldn't do it himself, he knows someone who could. This started out as a really bad, expensive exercise, and Drew turned it into something very positive.
