Maria did not quote a price in advance as it varies house by house. At the end of 3 hours, she told me I owed her $300! This is WAY beyond the reasonable and customary fee for housecleaning, especially a small, one-bedroom house! In fact, it is more than 3 times what I have paid before. While Maria did a very good job downstairs, she barely touched the upstairs, missing both alcoves, two tables, etc. A few days later, the upstairs floor felt like we were walking on popcorn. When I got her to come back to discuss this with her, she agreed to clean the house once for free, but when she came to do that on December 9, she broke the agreement: she cleaned ONLY the upstairs and then left. She obviously planned this in advance - the man who helps her had their equipment outside before she told me she was not going to clean the downstairs and made her exit.
