It didn't start well from the beginning. The written scope of work the owner (Santos) emailed me did not match what we discussed by telephone. When I followed up, she acted offended and like I was an idiot to question anything. I asked her to update the written scope of work to match our discussion and she said it wasn't necessary, that everything will be done perfectly, and that I just needed to email back that "I agree." This should have been my red flag, but I kept going. After they finished "cleaning", I wanted to go in and look at the work while they were still there, but they practically forbade me from going into my own property because "things were still drying." She said we didn't need to worry because they "vacuumed the **** out of the place." Literally. I did not see their work until they were gone. Large amounts of dirt, hair and dust were left behind. Spiderwebs still remained in the corners by the baseboards. It was obvious that the pocket doors were not even opened and wiped down. When I called the owner and sent her pictures, she said that they would only come out to finish the work if I paid them more money. She did not acknowledge the photos at all and just repeated that they cleaned everything, which clearly was not true. She said her workers were there for 1 hour 45 minutes, which was also not true; they were there for barely 1 hour 30 minutes. Owner was rude, arrogant and just plain awful. I was literally afraid that if I said anything more to her, that she would come by my home to threaten me -- this is how she comes across -- so I just blocked her on my phone so I don't have the hear from her any more. Angie's List should absolutely not have them on their "pro" website. It reflects poorly on the company to be associated with a person who is so unethical and rude. If you are a potential client considering hiring them and you are reading this, please do not make the same mistake I did. I NEVER write reviews, so it's saying a lot that I was prompted to take this step.
