Description of Work: Questionable business practices. I made it clear up front that I wanted to have a clean contract with change orders being needed to cover only items that the contractor could not have known about upfront,as is typical with remodeling projects. Instead, shortly after thinking we were in agreement and signing the "contract" the change orders started coming. We even received a change order to increase the price of floor installation even though I made sure that the floor coverage was very specific as to what rooms were to be covered was written in to the contract the contractor signed but refused to honor. Even the cabinets that were always part of the kitchen project warranted a change order. The contractor's response was either "I don't remember that being part of the work" or "Yeah, I remember we talked about it, but I didn't put it in the contract". The list goes on and I have pictures and other documentation for reference for other issues that were always a source of contention. In the end, we had to negotiate the final payment and severe our ties. I would have rated this contractor an "F" but his subs do good work.
