John Sweeney - BHG Mason McDuffie

This review is long overdue. I can't say enough in praise of John and his efforts on my behalf. I was a first time buyer, and at age 60, this was a bit daunting. Before enlisting John, I worked with two other agents and was entirely frustrated. I had communication issues with one and the second agent was habitually late. Agent #2 truly fit the profile of slick real estate guy who is after the big bucks. And then I asked John to help me find a place. Wow--what a great experience it was to have his smarts and his care guiding me through a very difficult process. He was absolutely stalwart. I was looking in a hot market, and the bidding wars and low inventory made the process so demoralizing. John thinks outside of the box, and was able to show me appropriate neighborhoods and properties I never had on my radar. Most importantly, he figured out a way to keep me in my building, where I have lived the past 9 years. He helped me buy the building and then saw me through each of the phases of completing the purchase. He also recommended the best lawyer and contractor, respectively, John Gutierrez and Jim Wall; and connected me to a great many essential and stellar subsidiary services. John seems to know only nice, competent professionals, and I think it's because he is such a thoughtful and attentive agent. He allowed me to play out all my drama in completing the purchase--calmly seeing me through my fears, frustration and even bursts of anger. Making a purchase of this size, and I bought an older building too, was not easy; except that John made it easy with his supportive and sensible suggestions and his patience. For anyone who is a first time buyer, John is the ideal agent. His temperament and his insight into the market will see you gracefully through a very intense experience. He generally works with sellers, and when and if I sell this place in the next few years, I know who I am calling to represent me: John Sweeney! One can't beat his combination of savvy and attentiveness.
