The service was very good. Did the job professionally, on time and the price was right. I will hire and recommend him. He was responsive and clean up after himself.

It wasn't easy but Jose's persistence paid off. Old faucet was rusted in place and did not want to get replaced. And the old stop valves started leaking when he tried to turn them off, so Jose went beyond the call of duty to make a trip to the hardware store to get replacement parts. All this well in to the evening but he stayed until the job was done. Thank you, JL Handyman.

Jose exceeded expectations. He had himself and another person on the job. He not only completed the job, within budget and schedule, he checked with me along the way in details and options. When the light fixture I ordered came without a part, he came back within days to install it finishing the last piece of the job. He also fixed a wall pipe that had been poorly installed on a previous job. He has great overall knowledge, kept all his appointments, was timely and very polite and delightful personality. Very hard working person.

From the beginning we had good feelings about Jose. He called mere minutes after we posted the job. He was extremely punctual every time he came. Installing an attic ladder isn't an every day job but he knew the ins and outs of the project. He finished in less time than he projected and did an A+ job. He hauled the old ladder away and did thorough clean-up. We have already recommended him to friends and will definitely hire him again.

We made arrangements to meet at my place but, when the day and time for him to show up, he never showed.

Jose did a great job. He was very fast and reasonably priced. He even came back to do some touch up work he noticed needed to be done on the walk through at no charge. I will be using him again in the future.

it went great. while he was here, he saw the delivered headboard in the hallway, and installed it right then!

it went great. although there was extra furniture in the room that will eventually be moved out (jose to the rescue), he and his helper did an excellent job. when he realized the adjustable frame was too heavy to move by himself, he quickly went back and brought a helper, so that we could get it done all in the same day. he will be my permanent handyman on an on-call basis, as long as he'll have me!

The work went great!!! Jose came prepared with all the tools to get the job done, he also went to get better bolts than what was provided by the door manufacturer. The sliding barn door was hung beautifully.

Jose and his assistant Joaquin were early for the job. After I showed them what to do in the apartment we were moving out of, they immediately and quickly dismantled and removed the desk and bookcase, moved the pieces into the hallway, and repaired the wall. Before I knew it, Jose and Joaquin had dismantled the couch and chair, and moved them out, too. They then began to help my husband and daughter carry all of the heavy boxes and remaining furniture down to the moving truck. They saved our backs and many hours by pitching in. Jose and Joaquin helped move all of my daughter's items into her new apartment and reassembled/installed the furniture with professionalism, efficiency, and great attitudes.

Overall Jose usually does very good work, is an extremely good guy, and he usually quotes fair prices for the Bay Area. Furthermore, in my experience the last couple years, most of the time Jose says he will do something, he does it, which can frequently not be the case w/ other handymen and contractors. The flakiness factor w/ Jose is generally low, whereas w/ others in SF, it can be pretty high. Therefore, as long as his pricing continues to be reasonable, I would use Jose again in the future and definitely recommend him. A pleasure to work with overall.

He had challenges during construction due to hill terrain, but solved them and delivered a well built duck and bench with esthetic appeal. In addition, he was meticulous about laying down tarps to keep our floors clean when he went up 2 and 1/2 floors, with material for construction on the way up and with the residue of construction and the smaller old deck, without a bench. This was a great idea since it was muddy after the rain.

Exceed expectations Based on past experience, we were wary of hiring a contractor. Jose was unlike any contractor we have hired before. He is completely honest, professional, friendly, prompt, reliable, reasonable and does not cut corners. Perhaps best of all, when it comes to his work, he is a perfectionist. As he said many times to us, “ I don’t feel good if it is not done right.” We were so impressed with his work we ran out of projects for him to do. Highly recommended!

Jose Luis worked in my house in San Francisco CA , between 2009- 2016 , he fixed most our my house and the worked he performed was very professional and reasonable price . I was very happy with the finished work. I highly recommend this person for any kind of work in your house, and also he is very humble and honest person you can work with.

Jose did a great job on everything he did, even did some extra little jobs here and there to help me out, hanging shelves and mirrors etc. He was very accommodating and performed all the work in a timely manner and exceeded expectations, the price for all the work he did was very reasonable. We were very pleased with all the work he did and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him.

Jose has done lots of projects for us including interior and exterior painting, sheetrock repair, light plumbing repairs and even earthquake proofed our garage by adding some sheer walls and foundation bolts. We bought a major fixer upper and Jose has been our go-to guy for all our handyman needs for several years now. He’s always happy, punctual and very communicative. We love working with Jose!

JoseLuis did an amazing job on our windows. He took the time to make everything fit and work as it should. The time and care to repair any inconsistencies and not just place the window and move on was a great plus. He was careful with his surroundings, making sure furniture and floors were covered where he work as to avoid getting things dirty or damaged. Over all he did a great job, price was reasonable. I would highly recommend him and will use him again for other projects.
