Description of Work: They moved furniture from my home to my ex-girlfriend's home across town.

Description of Work: Moved out of a 1BR apt in SF into a 3BR house in East Bay. They were very punctual and careful with all of our stuff. They had even brought a slightly large truck, which worked out for us since we had alot of stuff. Would definitely recommend and have already sent some customers their way.

Description of Work: I've used Jay's Small Moves twice in my time living in San Francisco and they're friendly, efficient, safe and always do fantastic work. I can't recommend them enough.

Description of Work: They came early and finish fast. They had to remove one item which was a queen side sofa bed. it was very heavy. They then took it to another location and got it in the small front door.

Description of Work: More expensive than quoted because it was raining and the move took longer. Also, no home visit/meeting done prior to quote so representative underestimated time and effort needed to complete the move.

Description of Work: They moved us. They were great! They worked very hard: they came in at the very bottom of the estimated time for the move. | |Since we had just painted both our old condo & our new one, we were very concerned to avoid damage to the paint job. Given how fast they moved, they were very careful both in moving us out & moving us in. There were only a few minor scuff marks - which are impossible to avoid when moving heavy furniture.

Description of Work: The office was easy to deal with, the guys who did the moving were cheerful and did a good job. Overall it was a bit pricy compared to less well known/reviewed movers I've used before, I went for reliability. The move itself was quick and done well and on time. My one issue was the packing -- I paid to have them pack up, which was done the day before the move. I also asked for full value insurance, which is very expensive. I don't know whether the two are related or not, but the packing was done with what seemed like an absurd amount of paper -- three large sheets for everything. That makes sense for wine glasses, but he also triple wrapped many things that didn't really need to be wrapped at all, like a plastic pepper shaker or metal utensils. After unpacking I had mountains of the stuff, filled ten large trash bags. Good news is, nothing was broken, but I feel like we killed a tree to avoid an insurance claim. The logic of the packed boxes also seemed a bit random at times and the labeling was minimal. Bottom line, if you can pack yourself, it might be the better way to go.

Description of Work: Jay's Moves were the only people who I talked to that were willing to move a small amount of items at a reasonable price. It was Christmas time and I didn't have enough seating for my family and needed to move a large couch from storage. While they did not come exactly when they said, they communicated a window and came within the time stated. The movers were both efficient and careful. I was impressed and will use them again. I even added a few things at the last minute and they didn't charge me for them. I live up a stairway and they needed to move things through a glass door. They did this all with care.

The items moved are of great value to me - I will use this company and crew again when I move from storage into my new home in the near future. Description of Work: Unloaded our one-way U-Haul to second floor condo. Gave specific arrival time ( instead of several hour window). Unable to keep it but communicated regular updates. Sent two very efficient physically capable young men as substitutes to delayed scheduled regulars. Cut the minimum number of hours and fuel charge in compensation for delay. Not your stereotypical movers. Motivated, positive, and personable to boot. Would highly recommend them.
