HEALTHY CHOICE CARPET CLEANERS

This went amazingly well. They were efficient and the carpets looked amazing afterwards. I could not believe how clean they were able to get the carpets.

The results were excellent. When I discovered what my 2 year old had done, I called (Sat afternoon) and they told me to seal off the area. They came on Monday morning and got all the stains out. More importantly, a couple of weeks later my dog vomited all over the recently cleaned hallway carpet. I called and they (much to my amazement) did the job for free. Normally it is a $180 minimum fee to come out but because I had just used them, the owner felt bad and would not charge me despite me writing him a check. Now that is what I call customer service!! There are other cheaper services out there but I'm not sure they would have been as good (or environmentally friendly) as I have infants that crawl all over the carpets and didn't want to take any chances.

They tried to charge me $300 for 45 minutes work. That's about $450/hour. I had a great cleaner come by afterwards and do the job for $140 all inclusive, he didn't have any make believe fake charges. Maybe others will have a more positive, less expensive experience. But if you live in apartment in San Francisco, know that you can get the job done well from a professional provider for less than half the cost, and 99% less headache.

They were good. We did a lot of carpet cleaning in the house. He was punctual. There was one very tough spot to remove and he returned and followed up on that and fixed that for me. I don't think he charged me for that either, to come back and get out something that was just hard to get out. I liked their equipment and he had protectors for the stairway and the walls, to protect the hoses and he provides those protective booties.

Great! Healthy Choice gave an accurate estimate beforehand, showed up early, and did a great job with our rugs! John sweated the details -- making sure to clean up spilled water, putting plastic sheets under the furniture, and giving us booties in case we needed to walk on the carpet. The result was lovely, and cleared out a bunch of stains!

The personnel was very nice. They were friendly, informative and professional. They were finished in 20 to 30 minutes.

Steam cleaning is the most effective cleaning and I wouldn't use any other method. John cleaned carefully and spent 3 hours doing so. Two bottom stair treads were very dirty and he returned at my request to re-clean them for me. I've used Healthy Choice before and they have always done a good job.

I can't remember punctuality so didn't rate. I think everything else was pretty good

Removed daily wear stains from wool carpet and brought helped them look very refreshed. Very pleased with their service.

This is the third time we've used Healthy Choice and we have always been happy with them. It was very easy to make an appointment with them -- even one for a Saturday as this was. The cleaner called ahead about an hour before the scheduled time to say he was ready to come over any time, so I guess you could say he was more than punctual. Everything went very well except that one of the hoses knocked off part of a door casing. We didn't even notice until after he'd left and then (it was pretty small) we just glued it back on ourselves. The flat rug areas seemed inexpensive, but the stairs were $5 per step. Must be the labor.

Issues specific to apartment: Located in high rise building where the elevator only goes to 2nd to last floor Our unit is on the last floor and is a walk up. It took two men to carry up the portable unit. $100 fee required for portable unit. Service Technician, Duane was not informed of the "walk up" and had to call for assistance in carrying up the extremely heavy portable unit. Owner, John quickly came to assist. They helped me rotate the 11x11 cream colored area rug. Initially, I wasn't satisfied with the cleaning; I could still see a little gray color. John offered to clean again and unitized a stronger cleaning product which worked beautifully. All rugs came out well and I am completely satisfied with their work. I would definitely hire them again.

Outstanding!!! From booking the appointment and getting information to execution on the day of service, I could not have been happier. Super professional from start to finish! As promised, they arrived on time, they managed to park out front on busy Dolores Street (I've had other previous providers show up and say they "couldn't" do it...parking...2nd floor Victorian...etc). They got set up, professionally marked the sidewalk to insure the hose and cables were in no one's way, and they systematically worked their way through our home with care and precision. They did an OUTSTANDING job w/ my upholstered furniture as well. There were ZERO surprise charges or "special requirements" that I've read about with other companies. We have a dog and a cat, and were treated to an absolutely perfect service experience with efficiency, professionalism, safe/green products -- and all at a fair price. What more could I ask for? Oh yes, a handful of disposable 'booties' (recyclable, naturally!) to place at the doorways for any other guests or service providers who might be stopping by that day while the carpets were wet and drying!! So thoughtful. It's the little things -- especially when the big things are already perfect! Many thanks -- look forward to booking them again and annually for sure!! A++++

Went well ~ technician called ahead as he was able to arrive early and finished on time. Results are very good, I would use the service again.

Everything went as smoothly as I had hoped. I didn't encounter any problems with them.

Overall was pleased with the job. I was told that they would use the "big" truck which supposedly does a better job cleaning, but they made a last minute switch because they needed that equipment for another job. We had some old grounded in BBQ sauce stains that I was never able to get out, they managed to get that out. However there were some other areas with just "normal" dirt were not as cleaned as thoroughly.

Making a mid-afternoon appointment was easy. On the day of the appointment, we got a call in the early afternoon that the technician was running late. Fortunately that was OK since we were home all afternoon anyway. He did arrive just a few minutes after the original appointment window, so it wasn't a problem. He worked efficiently, and gave us a nice discount to make up for his tardiness! However, a few days later we noticed a dark area on one rug that wouldn't vacuum out. We called the company, they sent the cleaner back out the next day. He apologized and re-cleaned the troublesome area. Now it looks fine. We're happy even though there were these little issues, because the company dealt with them professionally and promptly.

The office coordinator called an hour before the appointment to tell me his technician was in my area and was ahead of schedule, so if I wanted to get going sooner I could. I let him up and he proceeded to help me move furniture (because my friend had bailed on me at the last minute). So nice! He was super sweet to help me move the bed out of the bedroom. It's certainly not included in the price that the technician move furniture, so I was absolutely impressed. When all was ready he quietly moved in his equipment and went to work on our stairs and two rooms with white carpet. He told me upfront that some of the stains were probably not going to lift, which was fine. We have white carpet and there are some areas that are just kind of hammered from high traffic use. I really just want to tear the carpet out, but for now I'm going to commit to cleaning it more often. The process was odor free, and the carpets were just damp after he was finished. He told me to stay off them for the rest of the day. They looked great- much cleaner overall and even the high-traffic areas were improved. I would definitely use this company again and feel the price was fair. I only regret not tipping my technician. I used a credit card and didn't know if I should tip or not. In any case, I think with any service industry, tipping is a good idea, so, again, I regret not tipping because this guy went out of his way to help me move my furniture. Next time...

The technician arrived in the afternoon at or near the appointed hour. The house was larger than he expected and he had to work later than he had planned but did not seem bothered by that fact. He surveyed the premises and gave me a written estimate based on the square footage, number of stains requiring manual intervention, and the number of stairs. It was a bit more expensive than Stanley or other big outfits, because of the organic ingredients perhaps. But that was why we chose them since our 11 month old is a true rug-rat. The rooms were dry the next day after 14 hours. He left us a stack of booties too! I recommend this service highly to anyone who prefers to use environmentally friendly and kid/pet friendly chemicals.

The experience was fine. They did a good job and they were very friendly. It appeared to work and the carpet is now clean. They were nice and they did it on time. I didn't compare prices. They called because they were going to be a little late. They were absolutely professional and I would use them again.
