Fred is great. He's super friendly and eager to help do what's best for the work that needs doing. The street facing windows on my home had peeled down to exposed wood and the ironwork was peeled and patchy looking. Also before purchasing my home, the home inspector noted that lightwells left sides of my home exposed and at least one of those areas was very in need of scraping and painting to protect the wood. I called Fred and two other painters. Fred was super responsive and very helpful. He gave me his professional thoughts on what work was truly necessarily as well as how I should rate the urgency of the need for each component of the work on a scale of 1 to 5. He also itemized pricing for each portion of the work and different options (touch ups versus full repaint for areas that really only needed touch ups). This was way beyond the information that I received from any other company. And let me say Fred is not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Protecting my home is very important to me, and Fred and his team take pride in doing a good job. The front of my home looks fantastic. I haven't gotten out a ladder and checked out the sides of my place, but after working with a crew that shows up on time, works clean and goes the extra mile (they brought in my trash/recycling bins and painted a tiny light well I wouldn't have painted), I trust their work. That's worth paying a little more, and I can easily see myself working with him again.
