Geek Squad - Best Buy

Store help in Marina, Calif was alright. The delivery however was a nightmare and the problem is still unresolved. Missing Item that I purchased.

I thought the pricing was reasonable. The young woman who helped me was very knowledgeable and gave me her time. I didn't feel rushed. I didn't feel pressured to go for one item over another. She was just very helpful. I can't think of anything that went wrong on this shopping center.

Geek Squad really does good work. They are super knowledgeable and have a great attitude. They are also available pretty fast. I would continue using them in the future.

I would not recommend them for appliance repair. They came out a couple of times for the repair.

The Geek Squad wanted $49 to install a store purchased video card, which takes about 3-5 minutes. I installed the card myself while at the counter. With computer case open, I asked the tech to air blow the interior of the computer. He refused absent $30.00. I told the tech I did not want a full cleaning, e.g., vacuuming, just a short burst of air. The cost remained at $30.00. I then asked the tech do give me a burst of air as a matter of customer courtesy reminding him I had just spent about $150.00. Again the customer courtesy would cost $30.00 for a few seconds of work.

They came to the house. We had about 10 problems, they solved them all. Very professional and efficient. We felt very confident with their repairs. They even pointed out some problems that we had which we didn't even think were problems! Very reasonable! The laptop he made wireless (which we didn't think could go wireless); we have a new Trio - which we wanted to transfer information, he set it up to connect to laptop for transferring info. We had a printer that we couldn't get connected, and he got it to work. My husband's MP3 player wasn't able to get music on it, he gave us a cable and showed us how to use it. He was here for less than 2 hours. Very satisfying to get all those electronics fixed!

Nightmare. Use anyone else. Geek squad will quote you one price, then show up and add on for everything they can think of. Total waste of our time and money and they were unable to fix the problem.

Called them to set-up an in-home network last week. Was able to schedule the appointment for the next day. Jordon the tech came out and set-up the network. Network was working when he left. I had to purchase a wireless access point from him at a good price. Network was not working that night. Called again and scheduled another appointment for the next day. I came home early from work to meet tech. They no showed. I called & they said the tech was sick that day. Rescheduled for two days later (after getting huffy). Jeff came out on time and told me the first tech installed a wireless router as an access point. I had to return the router to Best Buy. He installed the access point (which he had) and it worked. That night I had no connection. The next day I updated the wired router's firmware and called Linksys. They helped me finish configuring the network properly. It now works. I figure I paid Geek Squad to teach me the basics of networking. Thanks Geek Squad! I got a free t-shirt too!

I THOUGHT THEY WERE AN EXCELLENT COMPANY. I HAD A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH MY COMPUTER & GEEK SQUAD WAS ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. NOW MY COMPUTER WORKS LIKE NEW.
