Baron was great to work with. He was very persistent in getting the job done, and doing it well. I had a lot of pipes (galvanized steel) that took MAJOR effort in getting off and Baron was able to do the job without damaging anything unnecessarily. Unfortunately, one of the pipes had a hair line crack through its thread which created a very minor leak which didn't develop until after Baron had finished. Baron was responsive about coming back to the house to get the job finished the right way without charging anything else for the extra visits and materials. Two months have passed, and the new water heater is working like a charm.

Extremely well -- Baron showed up on time and ready to work. All he does is water heaters and he knows his stuff.

Baron replaced the old water heater. He also found that the gas pipe was too thin (even for the smaller old heater) and the water shutter leaked which he both replaced at no additional charge. He cleaned up and took time to explain what he did. He also pointed out how to claim the PG&E rebate.

Believe all the positive comments about Baron. Our water heater started steaming one day and I began my search for someone to replace it. I typically use yelp but I signed up with angies list to ensure that I chose the right person. Initially I called Baron and he took time and asked me the right questions and he even told me what to ask the other plumbers. I chose him because of his confidence, price, and his many positive reviews. Baron showed up on time and got right to work. Extermely professional and was very nice to my family until I arrived home from work. Baron replaced everything with new parts. I walk by the water heater which is located in my washer and dryer room and think to myself, "I made the right decision." You will not regret choosing Baron.

The experience was excellent - just like I read on the other Angie reviews of Baron. When PG&E came to replace the gas service, the service man noticed water leaking from the water heater. A little research on the web showed that the price of the water heater is one thing, then there is this range of installation costs that I couldn't get a handle on, but it clearly adds quite a bit to the cost. So, I checked Angies List for folks who had good ratings. Baron was at the top of the list and was close by. I liked the "all-included serivce" that he advertised on his website. I called on Saturday, and he came on Sunday and checked it out. He explained the serives, costs, options, changes in law affecting water heater design, etc. He then came back the same day and completed the recplacement in about 1 1/2 hours - pretty fast. This work included adding gas and water valves, seismic strapping, venting, etc. It could not have gone better and I would recommend him to anyone. He was honest, prompt, charged what the estimate was, and completed the work quickly.

Baron is professional, prompt and I highly recommend his service. I called Monday morning as my water heater had started to leak. During the call, Baron educated me on tankless heaters and while I the phone, I checked out his website which had his prices listed. He didn't try to sell me on one model over the other, which I appreciated (I probably went overboard, choosing top of the line 50 gallon). They were out the following afternoon. I appreciated how he actually set a time for the appointment (instead of a four hour window). He called that day indicating that they were a little ahead of schedule and would it be OK if they arrived an hour earlier. Installation went well. Baron also installed (at no additional charge) a tray at the bottom of the heater, so that if the heater leaks again, it will flow out through the garage instead of potentially leaking through the wall. I highly recommend his service.

They did the work at a fair price, but could have completed the job with the gas pipe a little better. The approximate cost only includes the labor and parts not the water heater.

Very pleased from the get go. Contacted him to have him come out as I was told of a leak by home inspector. He mentioned he didn't have availability until a couple days later so if it was bad, might have to contact someone else. Took a look and it wasn't so bad so scheduled to have Baron out after a little phone tag on both our parts. He came out, assessed and returned a few days later to accommodate my schedule to replace the water heater. All around very responsive and punctual. Would recommend. Price was as quoted and then I had the discount from the coupon was well.

Excalibur is a one-man operation, and Baron seems to really enjoy and take great pride in his work. He arrived at the agreed-upon time, installed the water heater, and charged us the price quoted. It was the easiest thing in the world for us, even though it was Sunday of a holiday weekend. He even signed the water heater!

I discovered our water heater was leaking at 7:30 on a Wed. night. I called Excaliber and spoke with Barron who is the owner. He was extremely helpful. He had us measure our heater and the space it was in so he could find the right size heater. He also did not try to sell us a heater we could not afford. He listed the 3 most inexpensive heater and let us know the differences. He was able to come out the next day and replaced the heater in just an hour! He also showed me what had failed on our last heater and wrote me a note on the new heater to call him in 6 years and he would come out and check to make sure we were not having the same problem again. And the best part, the price was $125.00 less than the estimate!! I would use them again and refer them to all my friends.

Barron arrived on time (a bit on the early side, actually) and was in and out in a flash having done an excellent job. I highly recommend him as I believe he is fair and extremely competent in his work.

I started out asking Baron about tankless water heaters and he gave me all the pros and cons of tank vs. tankless. He came out and gave me an estimate for both options. The tankless solution was going to be at least $3000 to insure the installation was done up to code. We both agreed that for our needs this was excessive and the tank heater he would put in for far less would be fine. He did not try to up sell me or convince me to something I didn't need...even though I asked for it! Baron was great to work with, efficient, professional, obviously top in his field and I would highly recommend him if you need a new water heater. He did a great job. He was timely in getting the job done. He was very responsive and professional. I felt the price was fair and cheaper than any other I checked on.

We had a great experience with this company. We initially called another company that was recommended on Angie's List (only one report). The company sent a repairman who quoted us $1200.00 for a new heater. Believing this to be outrageous, we gave Excalibur a try. Baron quoted us $825 minus $50 for finding him on another website. He responded the same day and installed the heater. He was courteous, professional, and friendly. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat.

Wonderful, I called late Friday before a holiday weekend and Baron was able to come out the following afternoon, right on time as well,and fix the problem within 10 minutes! Fast, professional and completely reliable!

Baron was incredibly helpful. We had him over a month ago to look at the water heater. He spent time on line and with the water heater representatives to figure out what the issue was, ordered us the necessary part (which was still under warranty) and came back to install it (he would have come back sooner but it wasn't convenient for me. He worked with my schedule). In addition, when I explained to him our dryer ventilation issue, he researched that as well, figured out a solution and fixed that at the same time. He was incredibly helpful and nice. I highly recommend his services.

From the first phone call, when he gave me advice about replacement, to the completion of the project, Baron was exceedingly professional, helpful and competent. I had complete confidence in his know-how, to the extent that I recommended him to my daughter and son-in-law. He traveled to Pt. Hill at no additional charge to replace their water heater. They, too, are very satisfied with his work. I would highly recommend him.

One of the two water in heaters in our two unit building went out. As I knew they were both old, I thought it was done for. Byron came out (on a Sunday!!!!!) and determined that the pilot light had just gone out and that water heater would probably last another 5 years. He refused to charge me for relighting the heater. He told me that the other one looks like it'll go soon, but I don't have to replace it right away. What I really appreciate, aside from the one-day turnaround, the weekend visit, not charging me for relighting the heater is he could have convinced me to replace the second heater now, but didn't. When that heater goes, you can bet that I'll call Byron. A locally owned, one-man shop has far better service than the chains.

Baron was great. He came when he said he would which was the day before Thanksgiving. He was very professional and knowledgeable and completed the job within several hours. He gave us a $50 discount (from $800) for using Angie's List.
