Description of Work: They did a good job and have a wide variety of products, the only downside is negotiating price is like buying a car. This is our second home doing floors with them and I learned after the first experience that they don't give you their lowest price, you have to push.

Description of Work: The vinyl installer was about an hour later then promised, but the carpet layers were right on time. The work by both the vinyl installer and the carpet installers is fantastic. A job well done.

Description of Work: After making initial phone call, I had an in-home visit. I was shown samples of carpets and laminated flooring. The sales person was extremely knowledgeable and patiently explained the various samples, padding, and manufacturing of the materials we considered, as well as the prices in which was included a very reasonable fee for moving our furniture. Empire Today was excellent with communicating with me, and materials and everyone was on time. The young men, who were courteous and professional , installed the flooring and wall coving, a beautifully done separation strip to the kitchen; also the access to get under our home was wonderfully blended to appear unnoticeable. Our flooring is absolutely beautiful, and I will call Empire for all my future flooring needs. I highly recommend Empire Today for their professionalism, great prices, and beautiful carpets and flooring.

+ -1 moreHal was very pleasant and easy going, not high pressure. He had samples of carpet and also plenty of blind samples. The blinds we selected were 2" wood blinds for one picture window and two large windows, one in the front bedroom and the other for the side of the living room. Empire was also having a sale on blinds but again, none of the sale styles were appealing. They seem to represent a larger group of sale items but actually only one or two styles are actually on sale and they're usually the unattractive ones. The total bid, for purchase and installation, was $1900. I explained to Hal that we could find an identical blind from another company for $500 plus installation. He was shocked at the price difference and said that Empire could possibly take something off the installation but it would never come close to matching the other company's pricing. He was good natured about losing the sale and understood why we did not go with Empire for blinds.
Description of Work: Called Empire Today on a Friday for a Saturday appointment to provide estimates for new carpet in the study (see separate report by this member) and wood blinds for three windows in my house. Our estimator, Hal, was not prompt but called to explain that he was running late. He was not informed by the Empire scheduler that I was interested in getting an estimate for wood blinds, only carpet.

+ 0 moreInstallers were on time, very polite, and did an excellent job. Other companies don't move furniture or do little repairs. This one did everything and the carpet looks great.
