EF GOMEZ CEMENT CONTRACTOR

I got a notice from SF to repair sidewalk in front of my house, along with about 2-3 other houses on my block. My neighbours needed fairly extensive work, and they had initially reached out to EF Gomez to get quotes. I wanted to see if I could talk to them to get an estimate to have them perform work for me as well, since they'd be out on my street anyway. My repair was fairly minor - just 2.5 "sidewalk squares", approximately 30 sq ft. I called EF Gomez, sent them a copy of my repair notice and relevant photographs, and it was an uphill battle to get them to send me a quote for the next 2 weeks. I called every day, every day they'd say that "yes, we'll call you later today" but the call never came. They finally sent me a quote about 2 weeks later, but the quote was for 7 squares instead of the needed 2-3, for a total of $830 I called to get a clarification - maybe they lumped me in together with someone else, but I never got the call back for that either. Irma (office manager/secretary) was very sweet, I enjoyed talking to her every morning for 2-3 weeks, but in the end I pulled the plug on their company. I found my own sidewalk guy, pulled my own permits and finished all the work already - the neighbour's haven't started yet.Perhaps my job was waaay too small, but I would've appreciated being told that up front.

I was pleased with them and they did a great job. The guy in charge really knows what he's doing. When replacing our driveway he made it better. He got the job done in a timely manner. He was good about taking instructions. He was great with the follow up. I would recommend and use him again in the future.
