+ 0 moreThe contractor, Andy Doyle arrived on time to give me a free estimate. I felt very confident that he was qualified to address my problem. He and his employees were very professional and paid high attention to detail. The work area was covered and kept clean at all times. I would have have no problem recommending Doyle plastering to my friend. If I ever need more work do I would certainly call him. His prices were reasonable.
Description of Work: Repaired stucco on my property.

Description of Work: While I never actually used the services of Doyle Plastering, it was because Mt. Doyle himself felt it wasn't necessary. I had Any Dolye come to my home in Oakland (he works out of SF) at the behest of a painter who felt I needed to plaster over a particularly quirky painting situation before he would paint. I had paint in my tub/shower ceiling that was flaking and peeling because someone had used latex paint over oil. The painter felt that a skim coat of plaster would lock the blistered paint in and he could paint over it and reassure me that the flaking would never happen again. Andy came out, took a look at my situation and gave me an honest, straight up answer which was, "I don't think you need to plaster this". He said he would ask around and see if any of his colleagues had other ideas. True to his word, Andy called me back a few days later and reiterated the same thing; I didn't need to plaster the ceiling. I very much appreciated his honest opinion and was impressed that he didn't just take my money which he could have. I had a good feeling that Andy is a man of his word and when I do need other plaster work (and I will) I will definitely use Andy Doyle.

+ 0 moreI hired a General Contractor to install 4 windows and move a doorway .Ciarron the contractor recomended Doyle Plastering to repair the damaged stucco,I met with Andy and two other stucco contractors as well , Andy was the only one that had a license and insurance so I hired him to do the work . Andy arrived the first day on time with his helper , they covered the windows and door with plastic and also covered the ground wth drop cloths.They then attached the paper and wire to the wall around the windows and door and caulked the joint where the old and new stucco would meet. While waiting for inspector the next day Andy water tested the area been repaired , this impressed the inspector who arrived while he was doing it ,he said this was the first time he saw a contractor doing this ,but said it was a good idea, After getting the lath signed off Andy applied a coat of sand and cement, after allowing it to dry and cure for a couple of days they applied the second coat and texture .they picked up all garbage and material all they left was a good job

+ -1 moreANDY EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO AND WHY. HE WAS VERY PUNCTUAL AND ALWAYS ANSWERED MY PHONE CALLS. HE COVERED THE WORK AREA EVERY MORNING AND CLEANED UP EVERY EVENING. AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE FINISHED HE RE COATED THE WHOLE WALL WITH A OF STUCCO LIGHT COAT. THE WALL LOOKS LIKE NEW.
Description of Work: I WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH LEAKS, SO I CALLED DOYLE PLASTERING. HE OPENED UP SOME CRACKS IN MY STUCCO WALL AND REPAIRED THE DAMAGED PAPER AND WIRE. HE RE STUCCOED THE OPENINGS AND WATER TESTED THE WALL AFTERWORDS TO MAKE SURE IT WAS WATER TIGHT.
