+ -1 moreThey were great! The team was on time, full of energy, and courteous. They carefully wrapped my antiques and hand-painted pieces, and took extra care to make my kids feel comfortable, too. Once we got to the new home, they worked hard to unload the items in an order manageable for me, and even rearranged some things so I could really see how my home would "feel" when furniture was in different places. They even rearranged my daughter's whole bedroom for her. Great team!

+ -1 moreGreat from start to finish. Attentive, honest, careful, provided solutions for me. Would absolutely use their service again and recommend to anyone who wants to work with honest people and feel good about who they hire. Nice guys, great pricing, thoughtful service.
Description of Work: I hired Celtic to move my belongings from a Junior 1 bedroom condo with storage into a 2 bedroom apartment. Setting up the appointment with Celtic was easy and their follow up to confirm was exactly as they explained in the initial call. I let them know a day before the move that I wasn't able to get everything packed and would need their assistance with the remainder. It was not a problem, they came with extra boxes and loaded it up. They were very careful with my things, didn't damage any part of the condo, etc. The move into the new place took longer than expected (not their fault) due to the setup at the new building. Celtic solved it creatively by having one man downstairs loading the items into the elevator and the other man up on the 4th floor to receive and bring down the two very long hallways. They really were very efficient and very nice/helpful. Jimmy and Wally offloaded the sofa first and brought it up to the new place so I'd have a place to sit (I was 8.5 months pregnant during the move). I'm really, really happy I chose to go with Celtic Moving, it was a great service experience and made the move easier to get through.

Their prices were fair; I think it was $100 an hour. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Description of Work: Licensed and Insured, Affordable Moving Co.! Their bid to move our belongings from a 4-bedroom, 2200 square foot rental to exactly the same house down the street was $995 for 6 hours. The total bill was around $850, and it was done is 4 hours! (Please note - I am a very good packer, and it was truly down the street.) We had received a similar bid from another moving company that was unable to commit to us. Celtic Moving provided me with a bid and a commitment on the same day. Celtic took apart two cribs and assembled them again. Everything was placed in a thoughtful manner in every room. Nothing was broken. And the crew was so fast and professional. We have two twin toddlers, and we were able to settle into our new house the very afternoon of our move, and it would not have been possible without Celtic Moving & Storage Co. FOUR STARS!!!!

Some stuff we packed, some we didn't but they were able to work with us and even encouraged us to get it all done. I actually just wanted them for the heavy complicated stuff but with their help and another hour everything got moved.

+ -1 moreWe moved our three bedroom house (+garage and backyard). They were on time, professional, knowledgable, and all-around GREAT guys. They took care of all our belongings as if they were thier own, they shrink wrapped furniture to make sure it stayed safe, they showed up at our house EXACTLY on time, they work with efficency, helped us pack up some last minute things, and even gave love to our dogs! I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a smooth, easy move. Our last movers experience was horrible (broken furniture, holes in walls, a mover with a gash in his head, etc...). It was a such a pleasure to work with professionals. I seriously cannot recommend them enough. PS - I know the price seems high, but in the end it was definately worth it. We paid $600 last time and it was an awful experience. The extra $400 was well worth it! Not to be cliche - but you get what you pay for!

+ -1 moreThe two guys who did my move were excellent. They did what I asked, like putting boxes into the room marked on the box, and checked with me any time they weren't sure. They were courteous and hard working, and careful with my furniture. They cost a little more but are definitely worth it--I recommend them to everyone.
Description of Work: They moved me from Hillsborough to San Bruno. I had the equivalent of a one-bedroom apartment and the entire move took 4-1/2 hours.

+ -1 moreThey came and packed everything one day and did the moving the next day. There was no wasting time, there were three men both days and they were extremely efficient but careful, no damage to walls or floors or furniture with the exception of a large scratch on the dining room table, which they arranged and paid for the repair. There were no dishes, glasses or pictures or anything else that was fragile that had any damage to them. Everything was moved without incident and they did the packing of everything.
Description of Work: They came and packed everything and moved it from one location in San Francisco to another location, including upstairs and into the basement. The men were very efficient, worked very quickly, were professional and did what they promised.

+ -1 moreWe hired Celtic Moving to help us move from San Francisco to Mountain View. We planned the move for the end of the month. We called two weeks in advance and got the last available appointment. They confirmed the appointment a few days before the move date. We were well organized; all our stuff was boxed (maybe 30--40 boxes) and our furniture (bed, sofa) disassembled where necessary. Celtic Moving arrived on time. There were two people. The entire job took 3.5 hours including the 45 minute drive to Mountain View. The movers were very courteous and took great care loading and unloading our belongings. They worked very hard for us.
Description of Work: Moved furniture and belongings from a 1-bed apartment in San Francisco to Mountain View.

Description of Work: I called two other movers who could not do this job, then called CELTIC movers and they came the next day and did the whole flat and took the furniture out. Moved two sofas from down stairs to my up stairs flat.

+ -1 moreTHIS COMPANY WAS CONSIDERATE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID UNDERESTIMATE THE AMOUNT OF THE LOAD, AND HAD TO GET ANOTHER TRUCK. THIS MADE THE AMOUNT WE HAD TO PAY GO UP 22%. WE WERE NOT THRILLED. NOTHING WAS BROKEN OR DAMAGED. CREW WAS A DELIGHT TO WORK WITH.
