+ -1 moreThey're sweet people but their service is very slow. It's a good price for a service that's actually hard to come by to craft windows. The calling back is terrible. The phone calling back and forth was really lacking. They're small and locally-owned which I liked. They have good craftsmanship. We have the ancient windows and they were able to make it an exact match. It seems to work fine. They showed up on time.
Description of Work: Cara Glass & Sash Co. created a window, fabricated it and installed it for us.

+ -1 moreI gave them the go ahead on Monday, August 6th after getting the last of the other estimates. On Monday August 20th I had an early call saying they were ready and could beginning installing that day. The worked Monday and Tuesday and completed the job. Mid-process I also asked to have a small back window replaced as it was also falling apart and they added and delivered this at the same time. They did a very good job and the service was just excellent.
Description of Work: This is a two flat building with a big bay window in the center and 2 additional casement-type windows on either side. Dry rot was discovered in various windows at the start of getting the house painted. The paint contractor did not want to continue until windows were repaired or replaced. The scaffolding had already been up for a couple of weeks and creates a security issue as it would not be difficult to climb and break into the flats. I was interested in getting double-pane windows and wanted to replace all 10 windows. I got many estimates (all in the $10,000 range) but none except Paul could produce them in a reasonable time frame. These other companies all wanted 2 months to create them plus additional time to install. Paul said he could do it in 2 weeks and his price was quite reasonable. I had gotten their reference from one of the painters who had done business with them before.

+ -1 moreTHE INSTALLER CLEANED UP THE WOOD CHIPS AROUND THE WINDOW SEALS, AND EVEN VACUUM THE AREA AROUND THE FLOOR. THOUGHT IT WAS REALLY NICE OF THEM TO POLISH ALL THE WINDOWS, WHICH MADE THEM LOOK SMOOTH, REFINED, AND GLOSSY.
