That guy was great. I intend to use his services again.

He gave me some good advice because I didn’t want to completely re-wire the whole the whole. He fixed something small.

They were great. The quote was very thorough. The quote seemed reasonable. They showed up right away.

Things went terribly with him. He first walked in my house with a box of smoke detectors and tried selling me these. I was trying to work from home but he kept trying to sell them to me anyway. I showed him my new lights I spent a ton of time picking out, he told me they were not going to work and they would not produce enough light. So he told me to just keep my old ones. Then he said he would go buy me new bulbs. So he leaves my house and comes back with bulbs for my old fixtures after I told him I did not want to keep my old fixtures clearly. So he said he would show me that the new would not work out. So he tried to show me that my new ones wouldn't work and he blew up the circuit, my stove was not working and I needed to bake a cake that night. He tried to charge me $400.00. He showed up several hours early to the apopintment as well.

Brookline correctly diagnosed the problem and offered me a couple of options to correct it. Once I settled on an option they made an appointment to do the electrical repairs. They were prompt, polite and did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

A circuit breaker in a relatively new circuit box (installed by someone else) appeared to be broken, in any case, I couldn't successfully re-set it. I called John on Sunday and he was able to come out within 30 minutes. He found the problem right away, which was a slight short within the circuit box itself. He fixed that with no problem. The charge was a bit high but it was completely worth it to me just to have someone fix this on a Sunday. It would have been awkward for me to have to wait a day to have it fixed, not to mention staying home from work to let someone in.

I called John and he wasn't available, and suggested another company to help with our doorbell, for which we wanted a remote ringer as well as the one on the front door. His suggestion sent me to House of Fans who told me that no one manufactured what I was looking for. I called John back a few days later and he came and did the job, having only had to go to the local hardware store get what was required.

Great. Prompt, efficient, cost-effective. Would use Brookline every time.

Overall I am happy with the repair John performed. He was very accessible by phone, and keep me informed.

John came over less than 2 hours after I called him, checked out the plate cover and said he needed to pull it apart to tell how bad it was. he dove into demolishing it and determined a new cover was needed, not a whole new conduit (other contractors wouldn't touch the box, just looked at it to estimate the cost and then said they wanted to pull a permit and to expect a cost between $350-$1500 depending what they found). john got hands on with the problem and we lucked out that it was only the cover. he drilled some drain holes in the box so we wont' have water infiltration again into our breaker box and he went off to the supply store to get the cover (which we had searched hours online and in person in various stores for one before) he was back and had it installed in under an hour. pretty satisfying experience to get this taken care of in one day off work as opposed to the estimates and unknowns we were getting elsewhere....

Set up an appointment with John A Peters, owner of Brookline Electric re no power in our living room. Initially, he advised us that power can be restored by following his instructions over the phone. However, we requested that he come personally which he did. He restored the power line, installed new smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

The service turned out fine. We have used their service for many years. They have always done very good work and have always been responsive. We have always felt the price was reasonable.

It was a very professionally done estimate. The cost was more than I wanted to pay for the service even though the cost was appropriate. I was able to install some wireless switches and kind of got around what I got an estimate for. They were very responsive and professional when giving the estimate. They seemed to really know their trade.

It worked out really well. We really liked working with them.

" Ballasts" on the florescent fixtures were changed and it is now working properly. Mr. Peters [ owner] also checked the smoke alarms inside my home and installed one in my bedroom instead of putting a second one on the other end of the hallway where I originally thought it was needed. He was able to come on the same day I called and worked in a professional manner. I am a client from years back and have always been highly satisfied with the services of Brookline Electric.

Brookeline Electric had successfully replaced the basement electrics, including the circuit box, on a previous occasion, so when the kitchen ceiling fluorescent light fixture in the kitchen burned out, I called them. John A. Peters came out and replaced the fixture with a compact fluorescent fixture in one day, includinlg a trip to the hardware store. John is skilled and experienced, and a quick worker. I am completely satisfied with the repair.

The job took longer than he and I expected but Fred charged me very fairly.

I did not like being charged for bid and then AGAIN when I revised my scope of work. Did not recommend cost savings ideas like other electricians I got bids from.

He was very responsible. He pointed out the problem and some other things that need attention. He was prompt. I felt his prices were reasonable.

Overall, he did a terrific job. He was such a nice guy to talk to! He did the extra jobs for us which was great.

They were just terrific, as always! I’d highly recommend them to others.

John is excellent! He tells you the practicalities of what you need, which I appreciate. I’d definitely recommend Brookline Electric to others.

Their work has always turned out fine. I enjoy working with them because they are able to come out the same day whenever I call them.

They were very nice, knowledgeable, and did a thorough job. However, the estimate was higher than I would have liked.

They have been great! I think their hourly rates are pricey, but they’re worth it. Also, no job is too small for them, which is really nice, and they are prompt.
