I highly recommend them. They did a great job for me. It was excellent. I used them for 25 years already. They were timely. The pricing was good. They were very knowledgeable. If there's a problem they come back and fix it right away.

Peter was great to talk with. I will have to wait until the next real rain comes to know for sure.

City tagged sidewalk. Repairs were done at the same time as adjacent property so that helped keep the cost down.

As you will see from ALL the reviews, Peter is great. He is highly professional and goes out of his way to be helpful in all respects. The workers were reasonably skilled and took care to both do a good job and clean up during and afterward. We knew there was some rot damage to the siding which was included in the quote. Once the roof was off, the damage was much more extensive 3-4x the original estimate. They worked with me on the repairs and charged a discounted rate for the extra work. Once it was underway, we found additional minor issues which they included at no extra charge. The materials and waterproofing approach they took was very high quality -- better than what was quoted by other companies. There was extra work here because of the way my roof is designed -- but Peter did not add charges to get it right. Once the work was complete, I was not happy with the finish on some of the carpentry and painting. This was due to my misunderstanding their intended approach. Yet, they came back out the next day and made it perfect at no charge -- approx 6 more hours work. All in all a great value and a great experience. Would certainly hire them again.

I decided to use Associated Builders because of the reviews here on Angies's list. The workers and office staff were polite and mostly helpful. The work they seemed to be quality work. It is still holding up with many feet and cars going over it every day. However , there were issues in the area of making contact. When I first called them it took a second call week later to get someone to call me back. Problems with contact continued to crop up as the project moved on , BUT some of those were because we had to schedule Assoc Builders work around a tree pruner. That company had contact issues as well. So getting the 2 companies on scene at the right times was a bit difficult . Overall , all went well and I will probably call them in the future

Peter came out promptly to provide me with an estimate for my roof, which I thought needed to be replaced. After inspecting it, he told me that it still has a few years of life left and explained to me why that was. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions. Even though I don't need the roof to be replaced right away, I still asked for a quote, which he said would be sent to me. It never was even after I contacted them about it. I would like to give this provider an A due to Peter's courtesy, but when a vendor doesn't even bother to follow up with a quote, that does not bode well for the kind of service I would receive from them if I hired them for a job. They have done themselves a huge disservice by not sending me a bid. Not only will I not use them to re-roof when the time comes --- I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else either.

Peter went to my neighbor's house to get the roof. The neighbor was fine with this. He looked at the sheet metal and just pulled it up and put it in place. It took all of 5 or 10 minutes. To my surprise he didn't charge for the job, he said it was really nothing. I was very impressed with his honesty and professionalism. It was a wonderful experience. I know if I need anything done to my roof, or light wells, I will call Associated Builders!

Was impressed with professionalism, knowledge and quote. However, never did any work as they failed twice to followup with a written quote and other requested information. In fairness, this was the busy season for them and me and I did not follow up after the *second* time either. If they had followed up, they would have gotten the job.

I received a notice from the city that I need to replace my sidwalk. I called Associated Builders for an estimate. They scheduled an appointment for the next day, but nobody showed up. I called again and an estimator came out the next day. I receieved the estimate about 4 days later. After I received the estimate, I got new information from the city and asked over email for a revised estimate. I did not hear back. I called the company and spoke to the estimator. He said I would receive the revised estimate in the next day or so. It never came. After multiple calls and multiple emails, they did not ever provide a final estimate. I eventually used a different company with a more competitive price than Associated Builders' original estimate.

They are the best roofers you can ever have. I have used them for years. They are excellent. I hope a lot of people use them. They never charge a lot and they also do roof maintenance. I am planning to call them soon to check my roof. Their work is excellent and their prices are fair. They are neat and do their job well. They clean up themselves. You could not ask for better roofers. I have had them for years. I recommend them to others. If there is anything they see when they come once in five years, they rectify it. I am just lucky to have them. I have used them since the late 70?s. My friends have used them too.

I called up AB to get a quote for replacing my roof. They were very responsive from begining to end during the proposal phase. Work quality appeared to be excellent. Timely. Fast but not too fast. Good attention to detail. Like most important projects, it is important to have the crew see you care about the quality of their work. The crew lead, Peter McDowell was outstanding. Update three years later: Quality of product has shown decline: - top coat needed recoating after extensive alligatoring, then started to alligatoring again. This was also true for my neighbor's ABEI Dibiten roof. - welds have come undone in some areas - even though I had a new under-deck installed, deck was not made level, creating low points. Low points create pools of water and sediment, which causes top coat to crack. - blown insulation was installed too close to ceiling lights, causing lights to overheat and fail. Nice guys, great effort and intention. End product "B" at best.

We got white-dotted by the city. We decided to replace more than just the white-dotted slabs and also include our driveway. After getting estimates from 3 companies, we went for Associated Builders who had the best price for the overall job. They came as planned and started the work. They finished as planned, on time. The final bill was the amount on the estimate (+permits of course) I gave a B on quality just because they splashed our walls with concrete and did not clean it up, so I have to re-paint it. But our sidewalk looks great :-) It was uneventful, really.

We asked Associated Builders to give us an estimate to redo our roof. They previously did concrete work on our sidewalk and did a very a good job. The person came to our house (we organized to be able to meet him during the week), looked at the roof, seemed very knowledgeable. He told us he would send us the estimate within a few days. The estimate never came. We called Associated Builders a few times, and were promised an estimate soon, which never came. It's been 50 days now and still no estimate... It was a big waste of time, and very disappointing from a company that did such a good job on our sidewalk.

They are wonderful. They do little extras for you free of charge. They are exceptional.
