Ace Plumbing & Rooter

Joshua was the technician that did most of the work and he did a great job. He arrived to my home on time. He was very professional. He cleaned up everything and left my carpet looking pristine. I would have to say that I was so impressed with this company that they will take care of my plumbing needs for life.

Very well. Assigned a same day appointment. Sean arrived at appointed time, checked the plumbing fixture, went to buy the new parts, and quickly replaced the malfunctioning part. I was very impressed with his speed and expertise.

We've had a diminishing flow of water over time. Recently it nearly stopped altogether. Another handyman claimed to have fixed it but the problem got worse. When I showed this repairman the problem he immediately removed & cleaned the filter. While I felt pretty dumb for needing assistance on what turned out to be a very very minor problem, the repairman was extremely gracious and charged me nothing.

Initial call was Wednesday morning, Sean gave estimate Thursday morning, and completed work Friday morning. He arrived within time window he gave, did a good job, and cleaned up afterward. He was courteous and friendly the entire time, and I appreciate that he took the time to explain to me exactly what had to be done. Given all the additional small things he took care of (replacing rubber hose, stuck shower head, checking a second drain), and that he included the new faucet in the price ( $60), the price for the job was excellent. Though I hope not to have any major plumbing needs in the near future, would definitely call Ace Plumbing again.

The technician was great, on time, explained everything, did not go to the most expensive scenario and told me that if he had to come back, they would deduct the overall cost from the initial one.

Sean came to the house to check the line. Came back later with camera to do visual inspection of the line. Determined the ceramic pipe needed to be replaced. Fully explained the work that would be done and gave us a timetable for completion. Suggested the sidewalk replacement work since he would have the workmen there anyway. As soon as I approved the work, he was on the phone scheduling the city inspections. The crew came on the scheduled day and completed the job. The following day they showed up to remove the plywood covering the new cement. Sean said if we had any problems please call. Their work looked great. We have a very steep driveway and when we tried to put the car away the bottom scraped on the cement. We called on Sunday of Labor Day weekend and Jonathan answered the phone and said he would have a crew out on Tuesday to fix the problem. Tuesday the crew came and cut out two squares and laid new concrete. The whole experience went extremely well.

Toby cleaned my shower drain for free, after simply using a plunger! I would certainly recommend this company to other members.

Sean came on Sat 8/18 to do an estimate. He estimated $450, with a 10% Angie's List discount. We scheduled for 4pm-5pm on Fri 8/24. On Fri. at 5pm the office called to let us know he couldn't make the appointment. We rescheduled for Sat from 4pm - 5pm Sat at 4:45pm we called the office to verify that he was showing up. We were not on the schedule and they were unable to reach him, so they sent Joe. Joe showed up at 5:15pm and terminated the gas line. He did not have the equipment for the dryer vent, so we scheduled for someone to show up on Sun from 11am - 12pm Sunday at 12pm, we called to find out status. Jonathon said that he and Joe would be over soon. At 2pm, they arrived and completed the job. I paid the $450, but felt like we were hassled by this whole installation. I complained to Johnathan and he discounted another $50.00. The quality of their work was good, though expensive. I like them personally, Joe and Jon are great, I just might use Ace again.

Sean was great from the get go. I had a leak in my shower which three other plumbers said that the whole unit would have to be replaced and gave me estimates of thousands of dollar. One plumber refused to come out and even look at it, saying he doesn't work on fiberglass shower leaks (it turned out that it wasn't a leak in the fiberglass surround, but this plumber didn't even bother to come out and evaluate it). Sean showed up and I explained the problem. The leak doesn't show up immediately, and Sean waited until the leak actually showed up. He then said all he had to do is fix some piece in the pipe that had deteriorated. Sure enough, he came back, replaced the piece that had deteriorated, and it's working great now with no leak. He also fixed my toilet which had become plugged up. All of this cost $139. He is the greatest and so is Ace for having a wonderful employee like Sean. I can't recommend him or ACE highly enough. He has lots of integrity and does good work.

The initial call to Ace Plumbing and Rooter was good. The woman who answered the phone worked with me to find a good time and seemed connected and did not have that "I couldn't care less" attitude sometimes you get on the phone. Sean came within the one hour window. When I explained the problem with the toilets he right away felt that it was not the sewer drain as I thought it might be. He explained everything to me and what the odds were as well as what the worst case scenarios were such as the sink pipe going into the wall might crack when snaked and need to be replaced. Sean quoted prices to me and the final cost was what he said it would be maybe even a little better. He resolved the water drainage problems and left an hour later. He gave me very good advice and options on fixing the two shower/ tub problems.

I found the leak late Friday night, called and got an appt. for Saturday at 9 am. Sean was prompt, polite and explained the problem and how to fix it quickly. A part had to be ordered since my shower did not fit the standard sizing. The shower pipes were capped off so that we had water in the rest of the house. He promised he would get the shower fixed on Mon, and when an earlier job ran late, he said he was still coming. A second crew showed up to help when they finished their job to help out. They spent 3 hours getting everything done, including clean-up. All the workmen were polite, cheerful (after a 12-hour day!!) and very professional. I got a thorough explanation and a 1-year guarantee. ACE Plumbing will get all my future business and a glowing recommendation to anyone. Thanks Sean!!

Toby showed up with his assistant and was very professional. He took time to explain the problem and proposed solution. They came earlier than scheduled after calling, and fixed everything in one visit. From calling the company to staring work was less than three days. In addition, they warranty all work performed for leaks.

They did this job very professionally. The price was great and everything. They were also pretty nice people to deal with. I have no complaints with them at all and I tend to be very satisfied with the work that was done.

There were no problems. They got the job done and we have not had any more leaks. Good plumbers are hard to come by these days and I was satisfied with the work they did.

Joe and Chris arrived with the new toilet and told me Sean had been delayed at previous job. They dismantled and took old fixture out, careful not to get any water on rug. They found a piece missing from unopened carton for the new toilet, called Sean to pick up the missing piece and installed the toilet to the point they could. Both men were polite and worked well. They told me Sean would finish the install and he arrived within the hour, finished up and then worked on the gas line. This required the line to be located in a closet for easy access of the turnoff key. Changed the leaking kitchen valves. Sean was extreamly patient and polite and I felt confident he knew his job well.

Toby arrived with in the one hour window that was set as the scheduled appointment. He was very polite and professional. He discussed the problem with me and checked the tub drain. Went to his truck to get the proper tools to do the job, returned and had the drain unclogged and working within a very short period of time. Also cleaned up the work area. This is the second time that I have called this company and I would call them again. Everyone I have dealt with has been very polite, helpful and able to do the job.

I just received an estimate from Ace, but went with someone else to do the work. Ace then came to the site to harass both me and the other company, I hired. Very unprofessional.

Ace Plumbing did a good job. The serviceman analyzed the problem and immediately fixed the problem. I found them to be very efficient and quick in doing the job. It only took him an hour to get it done.

The ACE plumbers were punctual, clean and very nice. I'd recommend ACE to anyone.

This company did not perform work for me. I just received an estimate and made a choice not to use them based on that.

Sean Alvey & his associate showed up on time. Cleared shower/bath tub drain in full bath, checked drainage in the wash basin, & checked drainage in the half bath wash basin as well. Checked shower head when asked about shower pressure & cleared some blockage there. Polite & professional service demeanor, answered all questions, offered suggestions on maintenance & prevention of clogs. Offered to come back another time to replace a faucet set for the same price. Would use them again.

The price was a little expensive for this project. I did think they did a good job. There were 2 people doing the work. Justin, one of the workers, was very friendly and kept me informed during the project. They were very nice to my entire family. I would use them again, but I would call around for pricing first.

I have the highest of praise for Mario and the other ACE plumbers who came to my rescue. I was prepared to spend thousands of dollars to dig out and replace a 110 year old cast iron drainage pipe, which another plumber had told me needed replacing. ACE did a video evaluation (for less than 50% of the price the other plumber had quoted me), banged on the pipes and concluded that they were in good working condition but needed a "hydro clean". They were able to schedule and perform the cleaning on the very same day of their video evaluation of the pipes.

Plumber came to look at the problem and thought he would have to go through the wall to find out what the problem was. There was a leak coming from the upstairs shower and bathroom into the dinning room. He said he'd be back the next day to open the wall. When he came the next day, he said he'd thought about our problem all night and thought it might be another problem of a clogged drain. When he looked, that is exactly what it was. We were happy he took the time to think about it and then do the work. Great customer service.

Best part of the experience was that I called at 8 at night and was given the choice of fixing right away or waiting until the morning (for a cheaper price). When I said the morning was fine, they allowed me to choose a 1 hour time slot. The repairman explained why it kept occurring and I was able to do a workaround by supporting the pipe (cheap) rather than moving the drainpipe ($600+ job and it may not solve the problem). I asked him to just put the system back together - which cost me the standard service charge. He also gave me some estimates on some other work that I was thinking of having done (new water heater, etc.). Very high quality work, but I get the sense you do pay for it. They are not going to be the cheapest on the block, but you get what you pay for.
