All in all, the problem was resolved as quickly and professionally as possible. The plumber sought a second opinion on where would be the best and least invasive place to drill. Once that was determined, repairs were made in approximately 2-3 hours.

It went great! They showed up roughly 2 hours after we placed a call on a Saturday. Pretty good for such short notice. (It was only 2 hours because they had a prior appointment to which they had to attend). They immediately diagnosed the clogged trap (to be fair it was pretty obvious), and immediately switched it out for a new one. They also saw the disposal unit had been only loosely connected to the trap, which virtually guaranteed a bad leak once the clog occurred. In short, fast friendly service. Will definitely call again for any future plumbing needs.

They were very professional and honest. They showed up promptly when they said they would be here. They did not try to pressure me into anything and they gave me different options that I could choose. The price was very fair and I would use them again. I had a great experience with Ace Plumbing & Rooter and I have already recommended them to my friends.

They came and inspected the drains and gave me an estimate. They replaced some pipe and cleared the drains. They were professional, efficient and prompt. I would recommend this company.

I looked at Angie's List at 10am and was given an appointment between 11 and noon. He showed up at 11:45 and was gone by 12:45. He quickly assessed the problem and let me know that the p-trap pipe would probably break due to corrosion when we removed it. He did all his work and took his garbage with him.

Sean arrived at the time promised. Checked the washtub drain, and said the problem was minor and would not require extensive work of any kind. He said he would clear this minor problem with no charge, not even a trip charge for coming to the home! He fixed the drain and it works fine now.

The plumber, Fidel, arrived on time. He was very courteous, friendly, and professional. He spent over an hour diagnosing and fixing the problem AND waiting through an entire washing cycle to make sure the dishwasher was fixed. Once again, Ace Plumbing has exceeded my expectations with their level of service. I will call them for all of my plumbing needs. I give them the highest recommendation.

Clogs clogs clogs! My roommate and I both have long hair and it seems like our sink and shower are forever getting clogged. This time, however, I decided to fore-go the toxic chemicals and instead buy "the snake" - an auger devise designed for DIY-ers. WARNING - The Snake itself can get caught in the pipes, creating an even more dire situation than a simple clog - this is what happened to me! Fortunately, I called ACE Plumbing and Rooter and though they offered to send someone out that night (I called around 6pm) I scheduled for the next day instead. Sean Patrick Alvey (as his biz card specifies) arrived on time and quickly assessed the situation and gave me a minimum estimate of $89 - warning that if he had to start taking apart the piping it would go up into the $200 range - very fair prices, in my estimation. He was able to access the pipe from a secret valve in the tub and ultimately remove the useless Snake and the clog :) Thanks ACE!

They were really good, they were prompt, very much lower than rates I have paid to other plumbers. The tech was a little sloppy and loud. He could be a bit more professional but he is a very hard worker.

They totally dropped the ball. This wasn't a nightmare project by any means; simple bathroom fixture replacement job.

Mike arrived on time. Got right to work on the affected area. Had to borrow some of my tools, ladder, large screw driver to dislodge clog, and pressure bladder to clean pipe. Very informative and cooperative. Got job done quickly. Would use them again.

I phoned company and Rich came out the same day. He had to go buy a replacement valve and install it.

The two guys that did the work were confident and happy in their work. They were very committed to doing the best they could. I was very pleased.

Technician showed up in uniform. He said that he'd check on the situation and let me know what he needed to do. I went to talk to a neighbor and before I knew it, he said that "it was too easy". He only charged me for the service call.

I was very happy with the service from the company, they were communicative when required, turned up on time and were able to get us a working drain within 24 hours. Possibly we could have got a better price by shopping around but time is more important than price in a situation like this. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Checked with 4 plumbing services regarding new water heater. Got the run around with a couple since there was a 2x2 plywood floor in the water heater shed that needed to be replaced. For an extra $50, they brought in a piece of plywood, cut it and dropped it into the floor. They had tried to up-sell me on a tankless water heater. Was reasonable price but as I did an evaluation - I just decided I didn't want one at the time.

Company showed up at the set time, work was none very well with no mess. The bathroom was left clean and all materials were removed. I was even given a discount for using Angie's List.

Wayne and Toby had actually come to my house a couple of months prior, to give me an estimate on a number of items, including the toilet and faucet that they ultimately replaced. During the estimate, they solved two problems that another plumber had quoted a high price to fix. That alone made me want to hire Ace Plumbing for the real work that needed to be done. Once I decided to replace the toilet and sink faucet, I called and made an appointment for the work to be done the next day. Toby and Wayne arrived precisely at the appointment time and were very friendly and efficient. As a first time customer, I received the 10% discount offered in the company's Ad. I would definitely hire them again for any other plumbing needs.

The installation was mostly fine. The sink was installed as requested and it has been operating well since it was installed. The plumber was a bit messy with the goop they put on to lubricate the pipe threads, so the shut-off valves are not as nice and shiny as they could be. Because of the size of the sink and the position of the drain pipe in the wall, the drain pipe looks very funny (a few bizarre angles to it). My biggest complaint was the personality of the plumber. I think he was trying to be friendly, but it came across as unprofessional, and, at times, aggressive. He made several comments complaining about the old fixtures in our house, and my fianc e said she would not feel comfortable if she were home alone with the guy. Their bookkeeping is not so good. I had to call them a month or two after service to remind them they hadn't billed me. They were very appreciative.

Our experience w/ plumbers have never been good but this last time was much better. First, Ace was available to come within a couple of hours of us calling. When we called they gave us a 2 hour window and arrived within it. It took the serviceman literally 5 minutes to fix the problem. He told us that we could get the same tool he uses at Home Depot which was helpful. We had another drain issue so we asked him if they charge by the job or by the hour. They charge by the job so he recommended that we buy a specific drain cleaner first from Home Depot and if it didn't work, we could call him back (for another charge). We appreciated that he was trying to help us save money first and not selling more services.

They did an excellent job. They came as scheduled and stayed late into the evening to try to complete their job as soon as possible.

It went very well. The water heater filters were cleaned; this was explained to us so that we can do the maintenance ourselves. The hoses to the washing machine were switched as the washer was getting warm water when it should not. The hoses were not very easy to get to. The kitchen sink faucet was adjusted (rotated 90 degrees) so that less water splashed up on the backsplash.

I scheduled a return visit in four days, on Friday around 3 PM. The part arrived Friday morning, just in time. I waited until about 4:30 and they had not shown up. I called and was told there had been a scheduling mix-up, but that they WOULD come out when they were available, which turned out to be a few hours later. They spent a few hours struggling with the replacement part and finally said it must be defective, as they could not get it to fit. The gasket was transferred from the new stem to the old one, and this seemed to fix the problem. Overall they were courteous and pleasant. However, the leak began again the next day. :( Ultimately I had to call a Jacuzzi repair service to do the job.

We had a recurring smell that seemed to emanate from under the house. Sean came and looked at the sewer pipe and suggested that there was a build-up of "gunk" around the pipe that was causing this smell. He came back later the same day and hydro-jetted the pipe and then (for free) checked the pipe with a video camera. Sean was absolutely wonderful; he was extremely knowledgeable, realistic in his assessment, polite, punctual and a pleasure to deal with. The smell has now gone, which is huge relief and Sean even called a couple of days later to check how everything was. I can't recommend him highly enough. I will absolutely hire ACE (and hopefully Sean) for all my plumbing jobs.
