Ace Plumbing & Rooter

I have used them a number of different times. They are responsive and professional. They get the work done right. They were great. They showed up on time. The cost of their service wasn't outrageous.

Ace Plumbing & Rooter is really good. They are prompt, reliable and really honest. At one point he said that he was going to do something and we knew that it was going to be expensive. He came back and said it turns out that I don't need to do that. He could have told us that he needed to do it and we wouldn't know the difference.

Needed an emergency plumber to come by to unclog a waste pipe shared with my upstairs neighbors. Ace Plumbing had someone at the house within an hour. Given that this building has been remodeled a few times, by some less than stellar plumbers, the plumbing can be a bit tricky. Jim figured out how to get to the clog, and although the work became a bit mucky, it all worked out fine. For an evening visit, the price was very reasonable

The service was good. The quote we got for fixing the problem was high but probably practical. My husband was the one that really dealt with them so I do not have a lot of feedback.

Their services were really good and I liked them very much. They were very good and did an "A-1" job. They did the work that they needed to do. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. He actually put in an extra effort to make sure that the job was done well. It took him a long time and they did a good job.

The most recent job done by Ace Plumbing was snaking out a drain line in the backyard which led to a drywell. The line was successfully cleared of debris. The plumber showed up on time and the charge was reasonable for getting the line cleared. I was able to call Ace Plumbing office and pay the bill over the phone. The entire process of setting up an appointment, getting the problem resolved, and paying for it, was very efficient.

Overall, it was excellent and Omar provided punctual and outstanding service.

They were very good. The job included demolition and actual putting of the lines, having the inspection and then having the concrete back in. It was a 3-day job and the only thing that held them a little longer was because of the rain and they couldn't put the concrete down for about 4 days and the total amount of time that they were here was only 3 days. The service was very good.

We've used them several times now and it's always gone well.

i had called and explained the original plumber had installed my faucet incorrectly and i needed special work. they needed to chip out the plywood holding the counter to make the faucet hole bigger. and then screw in faucet tightly. they gave me an estimate, with contingencies, if they needed to move the food disposal. when he came, he had all the equipment and knew what to do. he had to move the garbage disposal, but did not charge me for it. he explained that there was only one screw left -- that the other had probably fallen out, which is a concern for me. he also shared his theory about the dangers of buying european faucets. who knew that there were so many differences? in any case, he finally solved my problem. i am very relieved.

He said he'd be able to come that same day, and was even 10 minutes early for the appointed time. He was very professional and introduced himself to us. He started working right away and took care of the problem very quickly. He was very good and I'd certainly call them again!

This company showed up on time, were right on budget, and did exactly what they said they would do. They also cleaned up after themselves well.

They are very reliable and very professional. They got some other companies to quote as well and they were pretty much the same, if not more.

They were professional. Their price was a little high for me. The quote amount was $10,000. Their communication was good. They were pretty punctual.

They are very nice but a bit pricey.

My 1930s shower (and 1970s valve) was dripping tens of gallons per day, stressing me out, and I had not been able to find a repair person in whom I felt confident to do the job. When Phillip consulted on it (during an earlier job), I got the impression that he knew his work. When the leak suddenly became critical, I asked Ace to specifically send him to replace the valve. They scheduled him the next morning. He had to work for about 1.5 days, more than a story off the ground, high on a steep stairwell, in order to access the shower valve. He right away knew the type of special ladder he needed for the stairwell. He was able to neatly cut open the plaster and lathe wall, replace the valve as well as the pipe leading from the valve to the shower head, soldier the pipes, and was able to cut the shower tile to fit the new shower knobs without cracking the tile. He also appeared to generally have had alot of experience in this kind of work. He was courteous and thorough in answering my questions. (I usually ask alot of questions because like to understand the plumbing, the problem and the solution). He tested his work, and cleaned up the area very well afterward. (The area is now cleaner than when he started.) I'm quite happy with the work that Phillip did! :)

After installing the shut off valve, Omar made sure I knew how to turn the gas back on if it had shut itself off, and described in detail how delicate the valve is. When looking at the gas line to our dryer, he provided a lot of info and rough quote for fixing our gas line issues in addition to a lot of other helpful information and tips. Overall a very positive experience; I'd call up Ace Plumbing again.

On time, identified issue and quickly resloved. Will use again!

The help I received was way above and beyond anything I expected and I couldn't have been more impressed. This is a wonderful company and I will use them without hesitation for any plumbing problems I may have in the future.

My experience with Ace was excellent. I called based on recommendations from this site and their high rating. The Blades on my disposal had corroded and fell off. I did a bunch of research on what disposal to purchase and price range. I wasn't sure what they would quote since I didn't have alot of confidence in which one to buy. They insisted on not giving me a price until they came to see my sink, size and cabinet etc. I was a bit skeptical that they couldn't give me a general quote over the phone. The last plumber I used Benjamin Franklin (DON'T USE) ripped me off badly. Mike was assigned to my job where he arrived on time and was absolutely awesome. He quoted the job at a reasonable price and assured me the unit (Badger) that was being installed was more than what I need and would be quiet and reliable. He was right. He didn't have the unit with him and had to go get it but assured me that he would be back quickly and that I would be not miss the meeting I had scheduled. He lived up to his word. He replaced the unit, and triple checked his work. I asked him about fixture replacement and Mike took the time to give me an education on what I need if I decide to do that work in the future. He also "at no charge" looked at my upstairs shower head and told me what shower head I should buy to improve the water pressure. He was absolutely awesome and a pleasure to work with and the price was very reasonable. He did a great job cleaning up his work space. I would highly recommend Ace.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal coupon for this project but I already had used them two other times in the past so I knew they were reliable. It was a fairly simple job and they were prepared for whatever it was going to take. I have now had three different plumbers from their company come out and they all have been very good and helpful. Their prices seem to be about what everybody else charges; I don't think they are especially expensive or inexpensive; they seem to be very good and responsive. I have one thing to straighten out with them concerning the invoice for the toilet. The plumber did not write the invoice correctly because I used the Angie's List coupon. The toilet qualifies for a rebate from my city but I am having trouble getting the rebate because the invoice was not written out properly. They are supposed to list the cost of the toilet and the installation as separate items because the city only rebates on the cost of the toilet. I am sure they will straighten this out.

We had some issues with scheduling. For the quote, maybe I wrote the time down incorrectly, or maybe they did... but they showed up a day before I was expecting them and so I wasn't there. I decided to move forward with them anyway and double confirmed the installation time/date because I had to schedule for the same time to have someone from our HOA to meet us to turn off water to the whole building (plus the advanced notice that was required to my neighbors). They didn't show up. We called. We yelled. They came and did an okay job. But it was A LOT more stressful for us that it needed to be because they were there 3 hours later than they were supposed to be... and the representative from the HOA had to sit around twiddling his thumbs and then almost had to leave before Ace showed up. I won't use them again.

Fine. Only thing missing was having no paperwork for getting the rebate. Very prompt, nice person
