Made and appointment for an estimate. Tyron arrived and was very professional and was extremely knowledgable regarding solutions to my hot water delivery problem. I told him I needed the work done before Xmas, which was 2 weeks out and was informed that wouldn't be a problem and I would receive an estimate the following morning. No estimate arrived and I waited 3 days before calling the company asking about the estimate. Very nice office people said they would look into my estimate and get back to me. Unfortunately it took many more days and another call before I received the estimate. via email.The estimate was poorly written, had minimal detail and did not reflect the scope of work I discussed with Tyron. I called the office wanting more detail and was informed that the estimate was not typical of their estimates and they would get back to me with any update. Again I waited days before contacting them again expressing my frustration with their lack of communication, poorly written quote and about to missmy deadline for service before XMas. The office again was very nice and expressed concern and apologized for the delay and promised me a manager and owner would get back to me. Many days passed and still no response! I should have arranged for estimates from other companies but I like Tyron so much I was willing to have Ace Plumbing do the work. However I would never agree to an estimate that lacked detail and from a company with such poor follow through.

We had a section of clogged pipe and had Ace come out and do a camera inspection. We were pleasantly surprised to find aside from a small section of pipe, the ancient pipe had been in fairly good condition under the house. The guy who did the camera work made several estimates for us--ranging from an inexpensive flushing to an all out replacement of the entire system and had a very candid discussion of the various options and what would be best given our situation.

The cost of the toilet and including labor and everything was less than $1000 so it was really good.They are very good and reliable so I would recommend them. They were on time, clean and clean up nice. At times they were both very capable and honest. If we need plumbing help we would go back to them definitely.

I had a slow drain in the bathtub. Another plumber tried to "snake" the pipe but could not clear it. He said I would have to replace the pipes--which also ment tearing out the bathroom walls. (The bathroom s on the 3rd floor). I could visualize a very high bill. That plumber never got back with an estimate. I did not call him agan because I thought he lacked knowledge and experience. Joe was the plumber from Ace. He had a problem with his :snake" on the first trip--but, he said he was pretty sure he could solve the problem when he got a replacement part. On his second trip, Joe worked with the "snake" just a few minutes and said the problem was solved. It now works perfectly. I am a happy customer. I am pleased to give both Ace Plumbing and Joe an Outstanding Performance rating. Starting with the receptionist that took my order, and Anggie's List recommendations, I felt confident that Ace was customer oriented and that I could deal with them with confidence.

We were getting water into the bath tub and into the basement. Somebody had tried to snake it out, and it did not work. So, we called them and they were going to do a visual thing. When the guy came out, he said that we did not need the video thing. That he could do it without it. He did. He got it going. He was very responsive and did a good job. Everything was positive and nothing negative. If we had to go over the $99 price, it was not that by very much.

The service was great. When they took out the old toilet, the waste pipe needed some work done to it. They were was able to get that fixed quickly and affordable as well. They were great and we use their service a lot.

The plumber called prior to the time of our appointment to offer an EARLIER (yay!) time. He arrived on time (the earlier time!) and did all the work efficiently and effectively. He had a professional demeanor throughout. Plumbing repairs in an old house are always a voyage of discovery! The plumber worked well with the homeowner (me) to make the best decisions about the work as we went through the 'discovery process' together.

I bought the "deal" to install an earthquake shut-off valve and also wanted them to assess my need for a sump pump. Mike from Ace came promptly at the appointed time. He discouraged the sump pump, stating he was not sure it would solve the problem - that I needed to assess the drainage issue first. I wondered that myself and appreciated his honestly. We then made an appt. to install the valve. He returned - again, right on time - and installed the valve in a professional manner. This is the third time I've dealt with Ace. In all case they have been prompt, professional, and honest. Since in the 3 occasions I have had differnt plumbers, it is clear that they are teaching their employees their "culture." in the I cannot recommend them more highly.

Excellent. came the next day. did the job promptly.

Very professional, courteous and explained all the details. Told us how we might be able to fix problems with our toilets in the future ourselves. He was nice to our pets and cleaned our bathrooms up well when he was done.

They said that they offer free estimate but the estimate is only free if you end up choosing this company otherwise the charge is $99.

On Saturday, my downstairs tenants reported to me that their kitchen sink drain was leaking when they drained the sink. I looked at the the kitchen sink and sure enough the sink was leaking. I called ACE Plumbing and said they would sent someone within three hours. The plumber came at 3 pm and he looked at the kitchen sink. The plumber said that he did not have the necessary parts with him. The plumber said that he needed to go to a local hardware store to get the necessary parts. The plumber went and came back in thirty minutes. He replaced worn out and corroded parts. The plumber was finished with the job in thirty minutes.

Plumber arrived inside the promised time range. The work was performed quickly and professionally. Setting up the appointment was fast and easy. Everyone was friendly and curious.

We found sewage water was coming out from the bathroom drain in our basement mid-morning. The situation was pretty bad. We called Ace and the phone rep arranged for an appointment 3 hours later. The technician actually came about one hour ahead of the appointment time but we were not home. He patched his office to let us know. By the time we got home, the technician (Jim) was waiting for us in his truck. He inspected the situation and gave us an estimate but said he would not charge us if he could not fix the problem. Jim tried one thing for about 45 minutes but that did not work. He then asked us some more questions and made an alternate diagnosis. Because the scope of work expanded, Jim gave us another estimate. And again, Jim said there is no charge if he could not fix the problem. We thought it's fair and he was clear in his explanation. Now we got to help by observing and reporting any progress. Jim tried this second thing for another 30 minutes and finally it worked. After he's done, he explained to us what the problem was, what we should be on the look out for, what else might go wrong, and what other work he would recommend in the future, the scope of the future job and the estimated cost associated with that. His recommendation was sensible and did not try to oversell us at all. Jim was very knowledgeable and professional. We appreciated his diagnosis and problem solving. We would hire Jim (Ace) again especially when we remodel.

My water heater started leaking from the bottom and I was having issues with my garbage disposal sink overflowing when the dishwasher was on. I contacted ACE Plumbing due to the positive reviews on Angie?s List and the ten percent discount for members. The company sent Johnny to my house and he installed a forty gallon double insulated Rheems water heater. He installed a new hose to my dishwasher and showed me how to reset my garbage disposal with an Allen wrench. I thought it was broken. Johnny was polite, answered all my questions, showed me how everything worked, and give me different options on what type water heater I could choose for my home. From my conversations with the young man and watching him work, I can tell he takes pride in his craftsmanship and love his job. I will use them again.

Excellent customer service in answering my call and getting someone put right away. But be prepared to pay top dollar. I went with another company because of a significant price difference.

The service and staff at Ace Plumbing were prompt and professional. This was one of the most painless experiences I've had.

It went well. Fast, reasonably priced, didn't try to over sell me what I didn't need. I couldn't have been more pleased. It was a fairly easy job, Ace got it done quickly and at a good price.

The provider was punctual and explained why my sewer line was backing up. The coupon from this list helped expenses. In addition, due to the cost of the job, provider worked with me to come up with a payment plan. Job site was kept clean and provider was responsive with all of my questions and concerns (and I had a lot!!). I am using the provider again for another plumbing issue in my house (as I'm typing this review!) Also, office staff is very friendly and courteous!!

Everything went well. Installer was delayed initially, but company called ahead as a courtesy to let me know there was a delay due to the house-call before mine. The installer arrived at the time indicated by company, started work and completed the new toilet installation and old toilet removal earlier than I had anticipated. The quality of the job performed was excellent and executed efficiently. I was also provided with a 90-day warranty in the event of any toilet leaks or other problems. Up through today, we have had no problems with the new toilet and it appears that we have also saved a lot of water since. I am satisfied with the services and would consider using this company again if the need ever arises.

See above. His works were prompt, courteous, efficient. Theycalled in the hazmat people and recommended a contractor that restored the entire room to the condition we had just built 3 years prior. They also arranged for the removal and storage of all our contents inside & in the garage, including temp control wine storage for our collection. Could not have gone better. We have usedthem on pipe service after that and recommend to all that ask us in our neighborhood. None better in the Bay Area.

I had a in-law apartment kitchen sink drain that was draining very slowly and use of other drains upstairs caused gurgling downstairs. Finally when I was rinsing out a soap dispenser in the upstairs kitchen soap bubbles came up into the sink downstairs. After Drano proved to do absolutely nothing it was time for a plumber. I called Ace in the morning and they came over at 2 PM that same afternoon. They wouldn't mention a price over the phone without seeing the situation in person; the charge to clear the drain was $185. That price seemed high but they showed up exactly when expected and the plumber seemed extremely knowledgable and was friendly. In the process of checking all out I asked if they install garbage disposals. They had one in the truck and the cost to clear the drain, sell and install the garbage disposal plus replace a cracked drain pipe under the sink was $360. It was all done within an hour and everything has been working great ever since. It was easy and reliable one stop shopping. I would absolutely use them again!
